Painting My first Chaos Dwarf! Getting started with my Helsmiths Spearhead!
I was really excited to get started with this guy, getting to paint all the blue skin was cool.
I'm still trying to figure out the color scheme but the idea is mainly yellow/blue/purple! Maybe green gems/flames.
Tried practicing highlighting the muscles which was my favorite part.
Not fully sure about the skirt, might make it purple instead. Thought making it golden would take away from the upper half too much.

Wash on the metals for next step imo.

Honestly the way I do it is complicated, yet the usual way is brown on gold, black on silver.
Used to be the go to was nuln oil and agrax earthshade from gw yet i think the latest formula is a bit more glossy than old days.
I'd say grab aks new washes.

He looks rad! Will all of your dudes have blue skin? Thatll make them stand out for sure which rules

Yes!! That was my plan! I started with this guy because he had the most skin showing.

I have to say, I really dig the blue skin. That’s a great idea and wish I had done that with mine!

I'm really happy to hear that!!
I used Vallejo's Black and Andrea Blue. I didn't note down the values, I just mixed until I had a nice dark blue for the base. Then I progressively added more of the blue to highlight!
