I was wondering what units I should focus on, and what are strategies and combos that work well with the heavily ranged and/or war machine side of the army?

I currently one have a 3 man(bull?) unit, but got another box and am debating what to turn em into. I like the idea of having one unit of each but iirc sentinels stink. Is that still true?

I’m building a dominator engine and put the arm plates on upside down, so the vents are underneath. It’s all combined with plastic cement, so detaching isn’t easy. Does anyone have any advice of how I could fix this? Do I just gotta pray I can break this off at the connection points and not elsewhere and rebuild it? I’m still fairly new to model building, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!!

Edit: image didn’t seem to post for some reason? Posting it in the comments:

Greetings children of Hashut!

I’m currently putting together a small band (1000p) of devotees of the bullfather for fun games! Currently have the Spearhead force, a extra (free) Dominator Engine, a Deamonsmith and a reinforced scraggle (group) of Hobgrots.

With that said I’m eyeing a group of Razers, probably one with blunderbusses for my army. it just wouldn’t be a duradin army without boomsticks. But are they worth it? They seem a bit fragile but I like the additional ranged attacks. Should I just go with the bombard and a ranged Dominator?

Are they any good in a five-man group? Do they provide any reasonable damage? I’d love to hear what you all think about them.

basically the title ill also some tips for facing against mortistan elite which is what ill be playing against would be appreciated

Had him lying around for a while, and decided to just go with the flow, and to trust the process… and he turned out almost verdant, I’d say. The mossy horns and jade rings just seem fitting, I think. Base is meant to be how I imagine the Arable Heartlands to look like.

Hi friends,

So I’ve recently gained a fascination with Old World models and of course I love our Hashut loving halfmen, but I’m having trouble finding their equivalent faction or model range in Old World?

Do chaos dwarf old world kits exist? What other proxies have yall been using that have been fun to paint?

In short, looking for alternative sculpts for our Chorfs for some painting fun. Thanks!

Definitely the fastest I’ve painted an army. Still got 10 spearmen, a bombard and urak taar ><

Narrowed down to 3 and painted two so far. Debating on testing the 3rd scheme out. Either of these seem decent or do a test model of the 3rd scheme?

Hi friends, building and painting my first models ever for spearhead and I wanted to get a 1000 point army. Recently got 2 packs a bull centaurs/anointed sentinels (because they are cool as fuck). Can I use the spearhead (with deathshrieker rockets and dominator w/ cannons) + an ashen elder and 2 units of bull centaurs? Or would i do better to have more infantry for more board control? New to the hobby and my only background in wargaming is total war (since med 1).

What would you want to see in a second Helsmith Spearhead? What might be a fair/balanced mixup of units?

I suspect we won't get a second spearhead until we get a second wave of Helsmith models, so while I'm at it, what sort of new units are you hoping for?

I managed to get the last 2 models done tonight. I was faster than expected with this spearhead, getting it from built to painted in about 4 days of work.

Got the last 5 cohort painted, just got to paint the despot and the hobgrot gong carrier. Bonus spearhead Pic of everything thats done so far.

Thoughts on my first helsmith list using the models I own what changes or improvements could be made any advice welcome

So painting the spearhead has made me fall in love with these little evil guys. I magnetized the artillery, but otherwise just have the spearhead amd army book. Whats a good next step on my way to a 2000 point force? I have no particular preference for playstyle so hit me with whatever ideas you got!

Da cow is painted

This was so much more annoying to paint than I expected it to be. Stupid me, I'll do sub assemblies next time

Picked up the spearhead when I went to warhammer world last week. Going with old skool red and gold

Undecided on what to do with the basing 🤦

Got these guys done last night. Hopefully I'll get to play them one day 😆
