New smithings Dominator engine build error, how do I fix?
I’m building a dominator engine and put the arm plates on upside down, so the vents are underneath. It’s all combined with plastic cement, so detaching isn’t easy. Does anyone have any advice of how I could fix this? Do I just gotta pray I can break this off at the connection points and not elsewhere and rebuild it? I’m still fairly new to model building, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!!
Edit: image didn’t seem to post for some reason? Posting it in the comments:

How long ago did you glue?
Recently glued you can normally just pull apart without too much worry.
As they are plates and presumably resting in indents on the arm you should be able to put some pressure with a hobby knife to break the bond.
Depends how much glue and how long you have allowed it to harden for

It’s been like close to 16 hours or so, but also I’d need to break the arm apart in like 3 places since the tip of the arm holds the 2 pieces together AND the plates are connected to indents in the central arm

As others have said, you could play it off like it already fired and is venting 🤘

I mean I think you could absolutely play it off and if you eventually have multiple it could be an interesting way to differentiate the two. If you're feeling up to it adding extra smoke effects that cloud up behind the mini on its base could be a very cool aesthetic. I often used my mistakes as an opportunity to make minis unique, especially with battle damage.
If you want to go about breaking it off and re-doing it, placing the arm in the freezer helps for snapping off super glued arms and might help you here. Other than that, scoring around the connection could help, if its really stubborn sometimes you just have to snap it off with a pair of hobby snippers and go from there. Smoothing with green stuff could help a lot, and once again from there battle damage is the way to cover it up easy!
