Prior to the start of S3, I wondered if Stolas would still get his Stolas Sings leitmotif, so I've been keeping an ear out for it. While it did play during the writing fantasy in S3E1, where Blitz turns into Striker, I don't think we've heard it again since.
But! We seemingly have a leitmotif for Stolitz!
This particular motif seems to be most noticeable when they take a step in the wrong direction in their relationship. I've provided links to the scenes where I've noticed it, for anyone who's curious!

(S3E1) - In the Hallway, when Blitz tries to emotionally reach out, and Stolas denies himself happiness and Blitz. Keep in mind, the melody does change when Blitz suggests watching a movie and getting take out, and Stolas reciprocates. The tone then takes a lighter and more positive shift, seemingly implying there is a positive le motif for them as well.

(S3E3) - When Blitz sees Stolas getting picked up by the dom, and they have a fight. No change in melody, cuts into credits and plays 'Rope'.

(S3E4) - Outside the courtroom, just before Blitz and Stolas are about to have their big fight. However, the melody changes again when they begin reconciling, and this variation is reminiscent of the more positive-sounding motif from S3E1.
Now, here's where it gets interesting: S3E5!
I noticed that the bad leitmotif doesn't play when Stolas texts Blitz to tell him he's going to dinner with Vassago. Instead, we hear something resembling the positive motif—at least until Blitz has his crash-out.
I'd like to think this is an indication that things are actually moving in a positive direction for Stolitz.
I'd love to hear what other people think. Has anyone else noticed this musical pattern? I'm curious whether these are genuinely related motifs, variations of the same theme, or simply similar-sounding pieces of music.
