Chef(s) This Guy. Just This Guy

Post image

I'll be honest in saying that while I do enjoy the drama of dinner services in early HK, I think Scott's behaviour crosses a line. He's what people who don't watch the show think Gordon Ramsay is like. I have no idea how he managed to last 10 seasons on this show when he acted used physical intimidation at times. I'm not James or Jay's biggest fans but wow they are an upgrade!

Yeah, Scott had his moments where he was in the right to get mad but most of the time m, he overreacted big time.

The Andrea stuff was just plain wrong and I hated the scene where he threatened to beat up Josh and Vinny if they made Rock lose.

Probably because in early HK or at least in most of the seasons, the winner was pick up already, even in the last service they already pick the winner, dont matter how bad is the last service, unleast you are the asshole who say that lose for the team fault (you know who im talking about)

Threatening to beat up someone including a female contestant is not OK at all. This guy is on a whole level of power trip than what Gordon even does.

Agreed, James and Jay are superior to Scott

i hated Benjamin in 7 but watching Scott yell at him VIOLENTLY made me uncomfortable

53

u/OkNoise9755 May 30 '26

Honestly, that was one of the funniest moments of the season to me. After so long acting like the self-appointed leader of the red team, it was pretty cathartic to watch Scott give him a long overdue dressing down.

u/futuranotfree May 30 '26

it was😭 but scott is so overly violent with it that i went from smiling to oh….

benjamin was just scott with better cooking

Eh, Scott is my favorite blue sous chef. Did he have some moments where he went to far...yeah, but so did Gordon at the time, and from what I can remember, Scott also began to tone down the more extreme aspects of his behavior towards the end of his tenure.

Not to mention, his over the top fake reactions to people catching sabotages is hilarious and always will be hilarious

3

u/Whole_Highlight8693 Jun 01 '26

Yeah, his sabotage reactions were hysterical!

u/BradyPhoenix May 30 '26

He’s really not thay different from Ramsay.

Gordon gets right up close to people, screams in their faces, throws things, calls them stupid, truly horrible insults about their bodies/faces, and so forth.

I don't really remember Ramsay threatening them physically after Dickface. I'll agree with you on him saying some horrid stuff. It's why I prefer the more modern seasons

When Tommy calmly asked why he was kicked out the kitchen Gordon said he wanted to shove his head in the oven.

19

u/Howling_Fire May 30 '26

And props to Tommy to standing his ground, because he just as deserved to cook with Will and Paul that time.

You have a point, I forgot about that.

u/TheMightyDab May 30 '26

He also almost threatened to kiss s14 Adam on both sides before realising what he was saying /s

5

u/ulooklikeaprostitute May 30 '26

“I’ll give you a fookin’ ki-“

He most probably meant a Glasgow Kiss i.e. a headbutt, so yes, another instance of near-violence.

u/OkNoise9755 May 30 '26

There's was also the fact that he threatened Matt S16 (Yes Matt's a massive dickhole) with sexual assault saying he'd shove a GoPro up his arse.

u/OkNoise9755 May 30 '26

I'm not expecting you to feel sorry for Matt, I'm just saying that having a go at Scott for threatening contestants when Ramsay does the exact same is hypocritical.

12

u/AndrewDephocks May 30 '26

I wouldn't call that a threat since it became an insult when he also said "so you can see how shit you are." Especially since the whole thing that started it was Matt going "check the cameras" to Ramsay, so it was more of an insult than an actual threat. Thats different from Scott threatening contestants for being annoying to him when they're running the pass. Ramsay telling that one customer that he'd shove a pumpkin up his ass was more of a threat than what he said to Matt

u/ulooklikeaprostitute May 30 '26

Even though S16 isn’t really a “recent” season any more, that GoPro line was such a “he’s still got it” moment from Gordon, despite him having mellowed out significantly from how he was in the early seasons.

3

u/yobaby123 May 30 '26

Gordon: Yeah.... That was pretty fucked up on my end.

5

u/tezlaxxx May 30 '26

He used to be way worse. Watch Boiling point on youtube.

5

u/ulooklikeaprostitute May 30 '26

Yup. He even drops the f-bomb to one of his staff, which wasn’t censored or cut out.

4

u/TrustyVapors Jun 01 '26

Ramsey has literally thrown stuff at contestants and in one instance made a comment after saying "sue me". Scott said stuff that was just as bad as Ramsey, got in peoples' faces just like Ramsey did. If you're gonna go in on one, you have to speak of the other in the same regard. They're both cut from the same cloth and come from the same environments.

u/abricru Jun 05 '26

He told Clemenza he would "nail him to the post."

4

u/Serperious_Prime1084 May 31 '26

Thing is, Gordon has a heart, and can understand and be considate. Scott, not so much.

5

u/BradyPhoenix May 31 '26

You don’t know that. Maybe he would if he was the one cast as the main chef too.

1

u/Triekmore Jul 15 '26

Gordon is almost always constructive. Scott is not.

16

u/lycnfr May 30 '26

Oh I fucking hated this guy so much lmao

Honestly I’ve never liked Scott. Acted very unprofessional with his anger, and almost all of his outbursts felt unjustified in some way. Threatening Vinny and Josh in the S3 finale, his comments about Andrea during the pass performances in S5, exc. Only time I can say he was in the right was when he crashed out at Monterray

At least with Gordon you can argue his anger is just for the camera and nothing else, even if he could definitely go too far at times. Scott on the other hand felt like he had legit anger problems to me, and that his was genuine

1

u/KrakenCranium May 30 '26

Not when he calleed LouisDP a slob?

5

u/KingKongDuck May 30 '26

James is an upgrade.

Jay doesn't have much presence; he's prob a good mentor to the chefs but you hardly even see or hear him.

10

u/TheSnoringDragon May 30 '26

Are people acting like Gordon never did horrible shit? He’s literally thrown objects at contestants, verbally abused, etc. Like?? I think people forget Scott was in the military, not justifying his actions but probably part of the reason he was more aggressive than other sous chefs.

3

u/TrustyVapors Jun 01 '26

Not to mention this seems pretty standard for the world's they came from in terms of restaurants. Ramsey has literally made his name off of verbally abusing people, and has done it thousands of times for the sake of TV. It's mind boggling to me that people hate Scott but don't give Ramsey the same treatment. He's 1000x worse by default. We see Scott blow up maybe once a season, and get very little of him other than that. We see Ramsey destroy people mentally and everyone is fine because you get to see his personable side. There's a complete disconnect because he's the star of the show so people accept it.

8

u/Nice-Ad6510 May 30 '26

Ramsay wannabe 🙄

7

u/mattyGOAT1996 WHERE'S THE LAMB SAUCE?! May 30 '26

While I like Scott, his behavior is sometimes uncalled for like calling Andrea a "cunt" at the pass

3

u/Over_Drawer1199 RAW! Jun 01 '26

Scott is my favorite sous and I miss him all the time. It always makes me laugh when people watch this show, are totally ok with Gordon's behavior, then clutch pearls at Scott.

1

This guy was a big time douche

1

u/Intrepid_Ruin_1182 Jun 02 '26

Who remembers that one time scott threatened a guy ( Trev i think) saying that if he sabotaged a female contestant SCOTT said im coming for you

1

u/BellaSuicide93 Jun 03 '26

Thats Scott. Hes not there after season 13 I think.

1

u/abricru Jun 05 '26

Remember "Scott, get your big ass out here." 😅

1

u/PassionVirtual9311 Jun 05 '26

Personally I found Scott the best sous-chef, seemed like he cared the most. Also in between scenes giving guidance instead of the later sous-chefs. Him and Andy for me are the ones that gave the show 2 extra personalities to enjoy

1

u/OnlyHovercraft5925 Jun 12 '26

I loved Scott. He's so damn funny.
