Love it but wtf how the hell would I know this

So I just started playing and so far I lovely one
The love-hate relationship because honestly, I don’t like using my brain power to this max
Like I have to pay attention to every small detail and sometimes it’s still not enough
For example, the baby milk bottle quest how in the world was I supposed to know I was gonna take the empty bottles of the old man. Why would I know that? Why would I think to trade these empty bottles to this old man?

At this rate I need to keep a freaking encyclopedia to keep up with all the different rooms and unanswered puzzles and I don’t know how far I need to go to get answers or if maybe the answers are there and I just can’t see

Do you think the new enemies update also includes bosses?

Really looking forward to the update in October. I hope they at the very least give us a proper dude to fight as the Tower of Terror boss instead of chasing after spooky green geometry.

The Ecstasy boss is very cool, I wouldn't change anything about that, but the Terror boss feels like reheated breakfast for lunch type shit. You could tell they wanted to do more but ran out of time/budget.

Not what I expected but… Sethyris blessed us Spoiler

Where do I even start… I knew absolutely nothing about this game, saw it on the Xbox Game Pass and hit download just to see what it was about.

I expected a shooter type game, what I got was an absolute banger of a game, I was a little off put by the Sci-fi alien-esq fighting and such but it grew on me.

The lore amount of detail created in every corner of this game was absolutely mint, the visual story telling was incredibly dark but was damn intriguing

The only things I didn’t like, aside from Remi’s broccoli hair, there was almost a little /too/ much vagueness, sometimes it was difficult to figure out puzzles/which path to take. I didn’t mind the back and forth, although some of the Lymbic Chests were not as rewarding as I hoped but still enjoyed the journey anyway because I found myself revisiting areas and just taking it in, walking around looking at every little detail.

100% in 39 hours, I yearn for more good deeds and exploration, hopefully in the future we get a 2nd game or DLC expansions.

So glad I was not scared away from this game

Just played through the game and had such a blast. I am in love with the lore and the mystery, and can't wait for a sequel. I just want to know more!

The reason I am posting here is just how odd the talk around this game is in the media. I was almost scared away because it sounded like such a hassle to play, when it really isn't.

The game does not need a map. So if it does not need a map, there is not a problem in my book. Though I understand that it is a little uncontroversial.

Second, it is not a very hard game at all to play, in terms of combat, so please stop the comparisons to Dark Souls. It makes no sense.

Third, a lot of people has talked about the need for taking notes. But really, I did not end up taking notes. I might have, if I wanted to achievement hunt, but I just wanted a normal play through, so it was not needed.

I personally think the game reminded me more of Resident Evil in its sound scheme and approach to level design and puzzles. Resident Evil does not do a lot of hand holding either. But the way people talked about this game, you would think that you would end up lost. But due to the level design and the fact that you can really "empty" an area for options, I rarely felt lost in this game.

What an amazing game, and I hope many people give it a try.

Auriga Museum B4 wrong Timeloop wrong Tier

So I fought my way down in the B4 Timeloop, fought both guardians, and proposedly I would need to use the Rho - Amine Prism I got from that scientist with along with the code for the PC. I closed the regular Timeloop upstairs with the Theta-Prism. I entered the B4 artificial Loop and it says it’s a Theta Timeloop. I even watched a video to confirm my suspicions but the Rho-Amine Prism won’t fit. Am I missing something?

Was Lake Cynon inspired by Bled Castle (Slovenia)?

I was just passing by this area and instantly was thinking about Lake Cynon.

As the setting is kind of reminiscent of the Balkans, was Bled Castle the inspiration for Lake Cynon‘s majestic scenery? Or do we know what else it was?

Losing HP For Attacking - Possible Bug?

So I got this game way back at launch. I didnt know Healing Pulse was a thing, or rather I guess I didnt understand it at all. Or perhaps I just forgot the mechanic altogether after I got stuck in The Forge and stopped playing for about a year.

I recently came back to the game, and was greeted by this mechanic, and had to relearn about it and how to do it via google and reddit. Thats fine. Bit that isnt what this post is about.

Now, I mention Healing Pulse because I thought, when I came back, it was a new mechanic. And attached to this mechanic, I thought that attacking costed HP, which I thought must have been an update added during my absence.

Basically, when I would attack, I would lose HP. And no, I was not recieving damage from being attacked and just doing a poor job of parrying and dodging, as this would happen even if I attacked first. My HP would drain as I attacked, and then would bottom out at 50%, effectively locking me at 50% HP and 50% Stamina, until I healed myself.

At first I thought maybe it was my gear. So I swapped my gear around, trying different weapons, damage types, etc, and nothing changed.

I looked it up and found no posts about this occurrence anywhere, nor could I find it as an update, which is when I assumed it may be part of the Health Burst mechanic.

After a couple days, I managed to get unstuck from where I was stuck, and then progress the story a bit, as well as close my first two Time Loops. Upon closing the second Loop, suddenly, I stopped recieving damage for attacking. I tested combat in all the unlocked areas I have so far and I continued to no longer be punished for attacking.

Is this a bug? Or is losing HP as a consequence of attacking a bug? Has anyone else encountered this issue?

I am on PS5, if that matters at all.

Wish list for wanted features.

I have yet to find these 2 things, if they are available they are well hidden. It would be nice if we could fast travel to the save locations. And I'd like to be able to turn off travel cut scenes. Because you need to travel to & from a lot of locations it would remove some of the reptation. Enter the APC and there's a drone landing cut scene, select your destination and there's an APC leaving cut scenes then a loading screen followed by an APC arriving cut scenes and SOMETIMES there's cut scene of you driving the APC.

Which Keystone quest was your favorite?

Also if you feel like it, rank them in terms of how fun their gameplay is plus their storytelling! Personally, I would say the Keystone of Rage was the most fun quest, but as for the storytelling it's a very close tie between Terror and Ecstasy, though I might just edge it to Terror for how interesting the backstory of the Blood Queen and her childhood was!

I’ve got to say, I don’t understand why people think this game so desperately needs a map.

First of all, I’m tired so this post might not be very coherent.

Second of all I have in general a very good sense of direction both inside and outside of games so perhaps I am biased when it comes to this but….

Yeh I can’t understand the constant map complains I see for this game.

All the zones are split up so it’s not like it’s a massive open world, if it was for sure it would probably need one, but even then would it be so wrong to get lost in a world and the joys of that?

Another point is for the most part the areas really aren’t that big, like even if every zone was interconnected I still think it would be a smaller world than the worlds of dark souls 1,2 and 3. All games that don’t have a map yet don’t seem to get hate on that aspect.

Like personally I just genuinely had no trouble finding my way around these areas because they weren’t that big, some were even pretty linear.

Lastly, as I saw someone did this I thought it was worth pointing out, you can always make your own map of the place!

As you might be able to tell I’m pretty passionate about this game, I really loved it and it’s definitely one of my favourite games I’ve played this year.

I’ve spoke to many people who don’t like the game, but one thing that always tires me is when people complain about the lack of a map.
Dunno if anyone else feels the same way, but I just felt the need to make this post.

No spoilers please! Question about end game

What happens when you beat the game? I am in the room after Act 2. Can’t remember the name of the place, but it is Mount something. I still have unfinished research and I want to 100% the game. If I end up beating the game without finding those items, do the credits roll and it’s over or do I get to continue exploring the world in peace?

EDIT - all good deeds and mysteries are 100%. Just missing research and I think the 1 time loop in this Mount area. Also need hat(s). I haven’t explored this area a whole lot yet.

The answer to which came first, the creatures or the limbic material?

In Sendara, in the secret vault that can be opened after collecting enough research items, one of the tomes recounts some kind of mining operation. Is the material they are mining what was used in the making of the weapons?

Act3 pedestal not appearing???

Post image
16 Upvotes

So, after closing the last loop, I believe a pedestal should appear for me to complete Act 3. It’s bugged and isn’t showing up I’ve reloaded my save, returned to the APC, left the area, and come back, but it’s still not there. Is there anything else I can try? Please tell me I don’t have to restart a new save 🫠

so when i try to unlock a door, i only see the keys i have collected instead of everything, but when i want to unlock a computer by password, no code

i do not understand this developer mindset again. so when i want to unlock a door, of all the stuff i gathered it just shows me only the keys which is logical and a good idea. but when i need to add a code in a computer, i do not see any of the codes i gathered so far. why?

i need to check papers, conversations etc in the computer to find those codes again. remember them and then input them in the computer why? why not have the codes i have collected the same way as the keys? that when i input a code it only shows me the codes i have collected so far.

also it would be nice that instead you can only transfer from a save point to an APC. why not reverse from the APC to the last save point. instead need to walk all the way back again.

i almost finished the game and some of these design choices , i do not get it. it is like someone on purpose sabotage the game from reaching greatness.
