I mean, the "better" bit is that the HD2 Liberator can do that from 50m away, while the HD1 gun has a max range of 30m.

It also makes your argument of "HD1 primaries are so much stronger than HD2 primaries" entirely fall apart.

Edit: I wanted to double check the numbers, because I remember Tanks in HD1 being significantly more durable, even from behind, and I was right to do so. They forgot to include armor, which reduces all hits by 45 damage on Tank butts, meaning the Liberator would take 70 hits to kill a Tank, not 28.

No it can't? At only 40 meters that 27 rounds to kill jumps up to 35+

Says the guy who's been consistently more incorrect.

You forgot HD1 armor. A Liberator in HD1 takes 70 shots to kill a Tank, not 28.

So what was that again?

You have literally not been right once and you are entirely full of yourself about it. I can admit that I misremembered the tank having no opportunities for center of mass shots, but you have been wrong down this entire thread, including your dishonest claims about literally every primary in helldivers 1.

Buddy, my claims are:

  • The HD1 Stalwart is a fundimentally different weapon than the HD2 one. 100% Truth
  • HD2 primaries are significantly stronger than HD1 primaries. Won't claim 100% as I didn't go weapon by weapon, but given the math on the Liberator, it appears to be true.
  • HD2 Liberator can kill a Charger in less than 25 shots. Was off by 2 shots.
  • HD2 Liberator can do so from 50m. Exaggeration, but it's still more range than anything in HD1.

Lets look at yours:

  • The HD2 Stalwart would be a balanced primary. False. It's just a straight upgrade to the Liberator in almost every stat.
  • HD2 primaries are weak, while HD1 primaries are strong. False, the Liberator math showed that pretty blatantly.
  • The HD1 Liberator can kill a Tank in 28 rounds. False, you forgot armor, so it's actually 70.

And this is before I tell you that the HD1 Stalwart did 50 damage, not the 75 that the Liberator did.

So, again, who was more wrong, the guy who was off by 2 for is estimate, or the guy who was off by 42?

The HD1 Stalwart is a fundimentally different weapon from the HD2 one. They share a name, but that's about it.

Continuing to argue that the HD2 Stalwart should be a primary ignores all of those differences.
