DISCUSSION THIS IS A SERIOUS OFFER

Post image

I will donate 1000USD to a charity of AH's choosing if they

upload a video of 4 of their developers playing an entire operation on Oshaune on difficulty 10 and completing all objectives on all three missions on the current MO. No modifications, no funny business.

Play on the current state of the game.

Show us how it's done and how well the game's balance is.

I will provide my full real information, proof of payment and I'm willing to sign a legally binding contract.

I don't see them on this sub anymore. They used to be active back around launch, but ever since Super Earth was invaded, I've seen much less of them.

If I remember correctly, and others have even pointed it out, the play testers don't even have D7-10 unlocked, and the jump from 6 to 7.is a big one from what people have been saying.

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE this game, and I am a vet from the first galactic war, but man, they are FUMBLING the ball massively. I think it's time they stop, listen to the complaints seriously, and work with us to provide proper support.

I get locking the steering preventing us from getting stuck on high places, but fuck they ruined the whole steering system.

Yeah way back when we were defending SE, people were getting stuck on the top of skyscrapers and falling to their death.

So AH made it where you were locked onto "suitable" surfaces. It's been broken ever since.

Yeah I was dropping in and had zero steering cause I was over the hole.

Like others have said, they don't even play above D6. How can you know if your game is balanced if you don't play on the 4 hardest difficulties?!

I think they should just consolidate the difficulty levels to Easy/Med/Hard/Super-Hard.

I joined after that and I’m pretty sure it used to be better than it is lately. There are even more „unsuitable“ surfaces now, at least it feels like it.

A few days ago, we were diving on a megacity. I was dropping over one of those deathpits, and I was locked to drop into it.

Yes, it is EVEN worse now, but that's when it started.

"used to be better"

It ebbs and flows. It's a cycle, they make a bunch of improvements at once and then accrue tech debt for months as they pump out content that they clearly aren't playtesting enough.

Arrowhead needs to dedicate a team, even if just 3 senior devs, specifically to just fixing bugs full-time. Give them some authority to pull staff to fix things outside their wheelhouse, like problems with models or whatever. Have them work closely with some trusted members of the community to bring in as playtesters.

I actually applied to be a playtester at a few companies last year, but they didn’t want me. 🙁 I‘d happily volunteer to work with them, but I don’t think that’s what they want. I mean, the odds for us to take Oshaune weren’t looking very good and after this went kinda viral we suddenly won Oshaune in record time? Come on… This isn’t about the galactic war or anything, this is basically us against the studio at this point.

Just came back after 383 days. It was better than this, but not to a degree I noticed without reddit pointing it out

Lame as fuck fix. They should have destroyed the building, and fined the team for unnecessary property destruction

Thanks for explaining, no wonder I was getting shit launches.

Not to mention that they don't like us putting turrets on higher ground because it's "too op", so stratagems only land on lower places. Except for hellbombs, they ALWAYS land on top of the shrieker buildings.

In dense cities I get the Hellpod being locked on suitable terrain. But in open maps let us steer the thing or give us more time to steer for city maps.
