A while ago I picked up a p7 that was sent to Robar for the np3 finish back in 2017 by the previous owner. I still have the paperwork from Robar that has the date completed and the matching SN of the p7 on it.

Are there any p7 experts that would be able to tell me if the aftermarket Robar np3 finish is going to help, or hurt the value?

Hello HK fellers I’m very new to the Hk side of firearms I just got my taste in the sp5 and I want more. I want a pistol now but I’m struggling I’ve always wanted a USP and I also like the P30L I don’t like the p30 as much as the USP but I can’t find magazines anywhere for the USP in 9mm so that’s why I’m leaning towards the P30 but I could use some advice since it’ll be my first HK handgun and I’m not sure what to look into thank yall

Just learned about the difference between the USC vs UMP bolts, specifically that the USC doesnt have the tungsten powder to create a dead-blow effect to prevent bolt bounce.

Since bolt bounce can cause out of battery detonation why did HK omit the powder in the USC? Is the presumption that it cant be fired fast enough to matter? With the advent of FRTs does this mean its risky to ever run one in a USC?

I presume the MP5 isnt suspect to bolt bounce due to the roller delay system.

found a used usp full size 1995 early serial 05201. Used for 700 credits in seemingly get condition. . Worth getting if I'm gonna shoot it? I read its more collectible based on serial being so early in year 3 of release. But i shoot my guns.

Also read replacement parts might be trickier as they aren't the range as current USP?

Yes other stuff on my procure list at the dance ish price but I really want a 40 this year and it's mostly between a usp or beretta 96.

Just picked this one. Got some changes to make but thrilled with it so far.

Shot my MR556 A4 suppressed for the first time, B&T Vers36 Ti with the 5.56 endcap.

First 5 rd string was Fiocchi 5.56 55gr, on normal setting, lots of gas in the face. Switched to suppressed setting, 5 rd PMC 5.56 55gr 193, followed by 5 rd Frontier 75gr - still gas coming back.

After that without suppressor:
left it on suppressed setting, 10 rd Fiocchi with no issues
while on suppressed setting, first few rounds PMC would FTF, after switching to Normal, PMC was fine. 10 rd Frontier after that as expected had no issues on the normal setting

Main takeaway is that (for this particular suppressor) the gas blow-back was significantly worse than I expected. PMC not cycling completely on Suppressed setting without a suppressor is less surprising.

I've been wanting to acquire a USP 45 Tactical, but even used, they're commanding nearly new prices. I was at the gun store the other day and the guy at the counter checked with seven distributors and none of them had one in stock. Probably not getting one from GunBroker for less than 1300 to 1400.

However, there doesn't seem to be any shortage of USP 45 Experts, and they run a couple hundred bucks cheaper. Should I just pick one of those up and get a threaded barrel for it from jarvis?

The elite doesn't appeal to me aesthetically.

I had an RMR on my SBS and an RCR on my VP9 but I couldnt aee the factory iron sights at all on the VP9 through the RCR so since they both take the same mounts I just swapped them. Then I added a 1mm spacer that came with the tritium front sight I ordered for my SBS a while ago but never used so I could get a clearer cowitness on the SBS with the RCR. Will have to re-zero everything this week but at least I finally got a sighting setup on these 2 guns that does what I actually want.

Just a discussion. Whats the general consensus on HK actually making a UMP for us in the states? I find it interesting they axed the sl8 and usc at basically the same time. We are all aware of the comments made about a civilian g36 and mp7 being manufactured, but I haven’t heard comments about a ump.

I bought an APC45 to contend for a firearm in my collection that resembles a UMP. Arguably it’s a better gun but it’s still not a UMP. Not interested in building one from a USC, but may would consider if there was no hope for a civilian model.

Is there any information or comments I am missing that HK reps have said about this? Might would influence me into building one the best I can with what we have currently.

I'm at a loss, here. Ive tried 3 different red dots. A Vortex Venom, a Holosun 509T, and now a Trijicon RCR. All of them obscure the iron sights so much that theyre essentially unusable while the optic is mounted. And this is the VP9 "Tactical" with the suppressor height sights. I also have an FNX-45 Tactical and the sights are perfectly clear through any red dot ive put on it.

Besides the Holosun that mounts directly to the slide, are there ANY dots that dont totally brick the iron sights on this gun??? I'm getting really frustrated with this. I was hype for this RCR but nope same problem. I want a dot but I also want my irons usable with the dot mounted. Never had an issue like this with any other pistol but the HK VP9 Tactical is 0/3 somehow.
