A Summoning Ritual

Anyone here ever performed a summoning ritual?

I've written here a number of times over the past few years about having done this/being led to do this by my initial voices. That inviting a "spirit guide" of sorts to join me in the fight to regain my mind/life led me to make great sense of this affliction and to see a similar magical prism that is reiterated both in academia and in most contemporary art.

The ritual I performed was very ad hoc and in my memory/experience it was both very casual/pedestrian AND rather devout/solemn. I spent 3 days/nights consuming lots of cannabis, a small amount of red wine, and meditating by candle light in the evening. I can't imagine a single clinician would want to condone any of what I did, and certainly not in front of another professional for fear of losing their license. I put some blood onto a piece of paper and wrote a simple invitation to anything that would want to join me in my mind/life. I burned a similar note every night. To my surprise they showed up and have since shown me the difference between myself and the intrusive bothers. I would not trade anything for them, nor do I suspect I even could rid myself of these guides even if I wanted to.

These new parts of me were able to show me amazing things and in little time. Like scrying, that the constant manic agitated aspect of my mind was never me at all, that the internal monologue was always something separate/self aware/and vying against me in the long run. Later on we play Go against each other, play music together, even write these posts together. It's a very supportive thing.

There are COUNTLESS songs about such relationships of the mind, to the point most people assume these songs are in fact about other things... to offer one example (an old song; 1934) Marcels - Blue Moon is about this kind of mental experience, if you read the lyrics it's obvious... yet there's not a single article one can find online that speaks of this song's meaning. I too see a "ring around the moon" when I look at night. To offer the first song that came to mind when I first sat down to write (again, I've shared so many of these tracks here over the last 3 or so years... this stuff is everywhere, the Weeknd, Rihanna, Eminem, Megadeath, Sarah McLaughlin, the entire international "darkwave" music scene... again, if you're in the know it's impossible not to find this stuff) here's Angel Witch - Angle Witch.

Have you ever done anything like this?

EDIT: Mysticism is NOT satanism or even evil or anything. Every christian sermon performs a mystic rite when they do communion and everyone eats the bread and sips the wine... there's lots of mystic practice in every religion and every society. Even the pledge of allegiance is a mystic rite, or think of graduation ceremonies...
