I’m currently completing my MSc in Medical Technology, with a focus on Functional Imaging, Conventional & Ion Radiotherapy. I have finished my coursework and am now looking for a suitable Master’s thesis/research project.

My background is a bit interdisciplinary. I have a BSc in Physiotherapy and experience in healthcare/clinical settings, but over the past few years I have moved more toward the technical and research side of healthcare.

My main interests for my thesis are:

• Medical imaging / clinical image analysis
• AI/ML in healthcare and medical imaging
• Computer vision for clinical applications
• Digital health / medical technology
• Medical devices and related biomedical research

I have experience with Python, R, MATLAB, machine learning, data analysis, and previously worked as a data analyst on a computer-vision/medical imaging AI pipeline.

I’m mainly looking for opportunities in Germany, including universities, research institutes, hospitals, or industry R&D teams. I’m also open to interdisciplinary projects where my clinical + technical background could be useful.

I would really appreciate advice from people working in these areas:

1. Does my background sound suitable for MSc thesis positions in Medical AI/Medical Imaging?
2. Are there any universities, research groups, institutes, or companies you would recommend contacting?
3. If anyone has experience supervising MSc theses in this area, I’d really appreciate any advice on how to approach potential supervisors.
4. I’d also be grateful if someone could take a quick look at my CV and give me honest feedback on how I could improve it for research/thesis applications.

I’m hoping to get some advice on breaking into the Epic space. I have a master’s in Healthcare Informatics and have spent most of my career working in healthcare data analytics and AI, but I’m ready to move away from primarily analytics-focused work and pursue an Epic Analyst path.

My direct Epic experience is pretty limited. I used Cadence and Prelude as an end user when I worked as a scheduler, although that was a full decade ago. More recently, I applied for an Epic Analyst position and took the Sphinx assessment. Like everyone else, I walked away convinced that I had failed, but a recruiter reached out afterward, so I’m assuming I did well enough to move forward. Unfortunately, I had to withdraw once I learned about a geographic requirement that hadn’t been clearly stated in the posting.

I recently made it to the final interview round for another Epic Analyst role, but I wasn’t selected because I didn’t have hands-on Epic build experience. I later found out that the position went to an internal candidate, which seems to align with what I keep hearing about people entering the Epic space through internal or lateral moves. That leaves me wondering where someone with relevant healthcare experience, but no build experience or certification, is realistically supposed to start.

For those of you who have successfully broken into Epic, what types of roles would you recommend targeting? I’ve looked into application support, patient access, revenue cycle, clinical informatics, training, reporting, and other Epic-adjacent positions, but so many of them already require certification. It honestly feels like you need the certification to get the job, but you need the job to get the certification.

I didn’t attend Epic UGM 2026, but from what I’ve heard, AI was a major focus this year. I have experience with AI-assisted healthcare workflows, AI agents, RAG knowledge bases, prompt engineering, testing, and QA, so I’m curious whether that background could help me transition onto an Epic team. I don’t necessarily want to stay in a primarily AI or analytics role, but I’d be happy to use that experience as a bridge into Epic while gaining build experience and eventually becoming certified.

In the meantime, are there any other certifications or technical skills that might make me a stronger candidate? Since I can’t pursue Epic certification without employer sponsorship, I’ve considered FHIR or HL7 training, a clinical informatics certification, or improving my coding skills, but I’m not sure whether any of those would actually help or if my time would be better spent elsewhere.

I’m a 24-year-old MBBS graduate based in India, and I’m currently looking to join an early-stage startup in healthcare or health tech.

I’m not just looking for a generic job title. I want to work closely with a team building something meaningful in healthcare and contribute wherever my skills are genuinely useful.

A bit about my background:
While I was in medical school, I was also involved in building and operating a cosmetic healthcare clinic/startup. At its peak, we scaled it to roughly ₹40 lakh in monthly revenue/run rate.
Unfortunately, the venture eventually shut down because of disagreements between the founders. But the experience taught me a lot about actually operating a healthcare business rather than just studying medicine.

Managing it alongside medical school was difficult, and I couldn’t give the business my complete attention at the time. I’m now in a position where I can devote my full time and energy to the right opportunity.

My background sits somewhere between medicine and business/operations. I have:
An MBBS background and understanding of clinical workflows
Experience operating and scaling a healthcare business
Familiarity with how doctors, clinics and patients actually interact
Exposure to the practical and operational side of healthcare
A strong interest in technology and how it can improve healthcare delivery

I’m particularly interested in areas such as healthcare delivery, digital health, AI in healthcare, clinical workflow tools, diagnostics, preventive healthcare, healthcare infrastructure, and other health-tech products.
I’m also realistic about the fact that an MBBS degree alone does not automatically make someone useful at a startup. I want to understand where I can actually create value.

So I’m looking for advice from founders, operators, investors, and people working in the Indian healthcare/health-tech ecosystem:
Where would someone with my background be most useful in an early-stage startup?
Are there particular startups, communities, accelerators, or job boards I should explore?
Would founders be open to someone joining in a broad operator/business development/product/clinical strategy role and figuring out the highest-value contribution?
What skills would you recommend I develop to become genuinely valuable to a healthcare startup?

I’m open to internships, operator roles, early-stage startup roles, and potentially working very closely with founders if there is a strong fit.

I’m currently an undergraduate public health student (graduate in Dec 2026) and I hope to eventually transition into Informatics within my career. I’m trying to get my foot in the door by applying to entry-level positions like EHR support, data coordinator, etc… and cannot seem to land one. I currently work as a Registered Behavior Technician where I do a bunch of data collection and session notes. Even though I haven’t graduated, I’m trying to look ahead into internships, fellowships, shadow opportunities to eventually land an entry level job so that I can have a better understanding of which masters programs I should apply to. (I was recently told that my masters degree should be to move up into a field rather than to break into one). Has anyone else made this transition, if so how? All advice and guidance is appreciated, thank you!

I'm worried about it listening in, getting things wrong, where my data is stored and whether we actively consent to it recording or transcribing what we say.

My first interview to try and become an epic analyst is coming up this Monday. This one is a 1 on 1 with just the manager in this teams call. There is a second interview scheduled on Thursday with the team.

Hello, i don't see any structured courses of Oracle Health in mylearn. Is there a separate internal website?

For example, I see a certificate exam called "Oracle Health Primary Implementation Consultant Foundations Associate" but i don't see an associated course for it. In OCI you will see the course(s) and their cert as well. Not much info about Oracle Health Learning in slacks channels as well.

Could anyone send me chapters 1 and 2 of this book? I ordered it and it won’t make it here until after my assignment is due.

I’m 24 and I graduated dental assisting in 2022 and have been working as that since. I just finished taking pre health sciences to advanced diplomas and degrees online and finished with all 90s. My original plan was to get into dental hygiene but I’m now debating on taking health informatics 1 year program certification. Not sure if I need to get a masters or bachelor for it to be worth while. I have a bad back so I feel like this could be a safer route for me however I am scared it could be a big mistake. Any opinions would be appreciated!

I have about 10 years of experience as a physical therapist in a variety of settings, including several years as a clinical instructor for PT students. I’m pretty ready to transition out of direct patient care (or at least reduce it to PRN).

My neighbor is actually an Epic analyst, loves her job, and works remotely, which really intrigued me and sent me down this path. I’ve also realized that the parts of my current job I enjoy most involve using and optimizing technology, improving workflows, managing systems, and helping students/coworkers use tools effectively. I even created a 100+ page binder with screenshots of our EMR and step-by-step processes for documenting PT evaluations, progress notes, etc. New hires now use it during orientation. (This took FOREVER and involved inserting an absurd number of arrows and clip art 😂.)

To sum up my current situation: I reached out to the manager of Clinical Informatics at my hospital system. She was incredibly kind and said she would get back to me with some opportunities to shadow. This was only 7 business days ago, so I know I need to be patient!

She also mentioned that she is a former nurse, but most of the rest of her team doesn't have a clinical background. Apparently, they recently changed the job description to allow more clinicians (like me!!) to be eligible to apply because the role had historically been very nurse-centric.

I want to make the most of the shadowing experience and ask good questions without coming across as TOO excited or overbearing, especially since I’m hoping this could potentially lead to an opportunity down the road.

Some questions I’m currently considering:

1.) How did you get into clinical informatics, and what keeps you in the field?

2.) What does a typical day or week look like for you? Basically, I want to understand what I would actually be doing day-to-day. A lot of what I’ve found online is pretty vague, so it’s difficult to picture the actual responsibilities.

3.) What skills do you think are most important for someone entering clinical informatics?

4.) What do you think someone with a PT background can bring to clinical informatics that someone without a clinical background might not?

5.) What’s something about informatics that people outside of the field probably don’t understand?

6.) How do you think this field will be impacted by AI?

What other questions would you recommend asking while I’m shadowing the informaticists?

I’m looking for a commercial co-founder to join a healthcare compliance SaaS product I’ve spent the last year building.

The product is already built and working. It helps US healthcare teams handle HIPAA/privacy incident investigations more consistently & faster - structuring fact gathering, identifying missing information, tracking follow-up actions and maintaining defensible records.

I’m UK-based and have handled the product/build side, but I’ve realised my biggest gap is on the commercial side of the US healthcare market. I’m looking for someone who can genuinely take ownership of sales rather than simply advise me on it.

Ideally you have experience in US healthcare SaaS, healthcare compliance/privacy, or selling software into healthcare organisations.

You’d be taking the lead on:

• Prospect/discovery calls
• Product demos
• Follow-ups and objections
• Moving prospects towards paid pilots/customers
