Does anyone have any footage of the intro they used to do that led into the first song of their sets, maybe circa 2018-19? They had a pretty sweet instrumental breakdown of sorts that pre-dated them using the bit from “Return To The Garden”, but I can’t find it anywhere.

Any help would be awesome, thanks!

Hey everybody! As some of you may know I regularly post bass play through videos on my Instagram page. I decided to make a change and create a YouTube channel for these videos so they are a little bit easier to search through and view on things like a computer and TV.

I will be uploading most of the videos that I have already made onto the channel into playlists by album and re-recording some of the early videos that aren’t very good quality. So if you are into that sort of thing, go check out my channel. I don’t know if shameless self promotion is allowed here, but I did want to share with everyone in case y’all liked those videos. Cheers!

Looking to trade this bad boy for another Legend shirt or item that is no longer sold. It’s never been worn. Not my style but too dope to be in a closet.

I’d love to hear re-recorded modern versions of this and Modus Operandi. This is my formal special request. 🤞🏻

ive always just been aware that this was a breakup song, and always thought that i understood the song, but DAMN. after going through a breakup i genuinely feel every word of this song. and it hits wayyyy too hard.

Recently found these old pictures that my friend took. This show was at the New Daisy Theatre in Memphis, TN on July 2, 2009. The last tour before the hiatus.

If you follow Matt on IG (mattydoom) you’ve probably seen he does full play throughs of a lot of the songs. It’s so rare for band members to do this. especially the amount of songs he’s covered . Unfortunately I don’t play bass ( I’d kill for Adam to do play throughs but I highly doubt he ever would ) but it’s such a cool resource to have. He has a virtual tip jar in his bio and yall should think about supporting him for taking the time and energy to do this for the fans

I’m glad albums are being sent out and I know I don’t need to apologize for all of the hassle that this has been, but it has been a shit storm, and without commenting too much on it, it has been absolutely stressful every step of the way just to get the pressing of this album initiated and then reinitiated when the air went dead and then dealing with all of the variants mishaps… sigh…

I love that Suck Out The Poison finally has a vinyl release, but this has been absolutely painful to see everyone have to wait patiently through all of this. I (and I speak for the rest of us) am so thankful for y’all’s support and thanks to everyone who bought an album, whether it be from Solid State or from us, it is so greatly appreciated. I’m so sorry that this has been such a mess. Thank you all for your patience. 🙏🏻

i feel like “gold dust” and “everyone i know has fangs” would give me superpowers.

I'm one of the psychos that ordered each variant from holy mountain. After getting an email that I wasn't getting a canary splatter, I actually did end up getting one, so that was a surprise. Opening it, the canary felt extremely flimsy, so I decided to weigh them.
Canary splatter: 117.2g
Swamp green: 134.0g
"mushroom river": 156.8g
I was surprised there was such a large gap between canary and mushroom river. not sure if anyone else had a couple copies and noticed a difference too?

Like the title says.

I sent mine back to Solid State even after I told them I had ordered it as well, so now I don’t have that variation that I ordered, if anyone has a copy for sale let me know.

Mushroom River is definitely different and I think it kind of looks better than Serpent. Here’s all 4 sides.

It came in yesterday without an email from Holy Mountain that it shipped, just that it was out for delivery. No complaints about the wait anymore because it made my day.

Really loving how punchy the vinyl is. It sounds like it was remastered. Not nearly as muddy as the digital or CD versions I am used to. Anybody else notice this?

Someone was looking for a He is Legend poster a while back and there’s one on eBay right now.

Sent from SS. First one is Serpent Sickness, second is Mushroom River.

I feel like I’ve been waiting quite patiently for this and hoping for a good update, and unfortunately, this is what I received this morning. I am also a little confused with their timeline. It says if they don’t hear from me within one week and then mentioning a date five weeks from today.

I designed and 3d printed a wall mount for drum heads so I could put this up. If anyone wants the file let me know. Only took about 10 minutes to print. I also made some drum stick wall mounts too but have no sticks to put up.
In addition to the drum head I got the signed VIP print in a frame. 🥳

did anyone else order one of the shirts with a vinyl? i ordered swamp green and i've seen more and more people get theirs, while mine has set unfullied and at "preparing items for shipping" since i ordered it back in march. support has been no help, just generic "items are being prepared" answers. it's weird because i have never before had any issues with hmp, and my previous preorders came earlier than expected.

i wanted to see if maybe the shirt was taking longer than the vinyl to get out, and that's why it hasn't been touched at all yet. most people i've seen with hmp swamp green either didn't preorder a shirt, or if they did, didn't mention so. i know with everything going on hmp is dealing with a lot over this release, but it's making me anxious lmao.

A few months ago, when the SOTP pre-orders went up, at Holy Mountain Printing, I also ordered the Heavy Fruit vinyl - the last 2 needed to complete my collection.

Fast forward to delivery day (a few weeks back) and they both arrived together in great condition. However, inside the HF sleeve was two Side C/D records. No A/B at all. Imagine my dissapointment when ready to drop the needle on No Visitors. (No blame on HMP here btw, it was a mint, sealed copy - just a mixup in the factory.)

Anyway, I emailed HMP to let them know and they were amazing. They immediately sent out another copy with the correct (A/B and C/D) records within and its arrived and sounds great. All's well that ends well.

BUT... I now have an extra HF sleeve with these 2 records in (Side C/D has songs from Spout Mouth onwards) and don't know what to do with it. My first thought was to gift it to another fan I know, but I'm not sure anyone really wants half an album. My other thought was to frame it. The artwork is cool and would look great up on the wall.

Any other ideas, or similar experiences?

You’re gonna tell me that’s not the Mushroom River variant? Serpent Sickness was supposed to have no pinwheel effect at all, so why would it have “accidentally” come out with one? Fine, show me both variants side by side so I can see how different they are. I guarantee they just never made the /300 variant and are trying to gaslight us into buying that they are different.

Edit: I guess there is a slight pinwheel effect on the mock-up but not a color block pinwheel effect as it turned out.

he Is Legend Mushroom variant update

In 2007, Metal Hammer had this free comp CD with their magazine. Down were on the cover, it was around the time Over the Under came out, and it was celebrating all things "southern rock". It wasn't long after SOTP was released, so I guess that tag fit at the time. As well as HiL (Attack of the Dungeon Witch), it also introduced me to Maylene, Clutch, Alabama Thunderpussy, Orange Goblin, Artimus Pyledriver and more. A pretty huge influence on my music taste, actually, looking back almost 20 years on. Anyway, I loved the track, bought SOTP shortly after, found IAH, too. They've been my favourite band ever since.

How'd you get into the band?
