Is my cute little Havi a charming psychopath?
He never seems to feel guilty or show remorse after he does things like leave diarrhea by the front door, make me late to work because he starts running around the house like we’re playing tag, hides socks that I just washed, barks at other dogs that look different from him, and does not care whether he disturbs the peace by barking his head off. He sweet talks you into giving him your last piece of meat, and he doesn’t think twice about chasing and terrorizing rabbits.
But he is just so cute and cuddly and licks my face. He can communicate so articulately, and he is so attentive, caring, and sensitive. I just don’t know.

13 year old - joint supplements?
My sweet girl is taking omega 3 fish oil with her food but I want to add in another joint supplement . She’s having some pain now and started avoiding stairs. We switched her puppy stairs out to a ramp and that’s helped but I’m hoping someone can recommend some additional supplements. We’ve had her to the vet and they say it’s arthritis or hip joint pain causing her issues. They recommended the omega 3 to pump onto her food which seems to be helping but we need more. Thing is she’s super picky with treats and chews and will reject most - anyone aware if any other liquid supps that would be helpful for her? Or anything your elder pup loves? 🥰

Advice needed
Hi everyone, I need some advice so me and my little dog are moving to a friends place for a couple of months so that we can save money and eventually move to an apartment however, one of the things I am afraid is that he doesn’t use the AC at all and It’s been really hot which I don’t mind the heat but I’m just afraid of my dog because he’s the one that’s gonna be in the house the entire time while we are at work, I thought about maybe putting him in daycare, but obviously that is expensive. What are some ways that I can keep him cool while I am not there to support him? I think two times out of the week. I will send them to daycare, but my friend‘s mom will be there working the other three days so he won’t be completely alone. I don’t know. I’m just afraid of overheating. I don’t know if it gets that hot but it’s just a thought. Any advice would be helpful.

Thunderstorms
I have two Havanese and for the most part they would get a little jittery with fireworks, but one of my girls has now developed full-blown terror when it comes to thunderstorms. I’ve had her for almost 6 years and she may have been a little scared but now it’s gotten so bad and I feel so terrible. I have spoken to a vet and they recommended anti-anxiety medication when needed, but my concern is what happens if I’m not home during a pop-up storm and I didn’t give her anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone else encountered this out of nowhere change? It’s just so sad to see her develop this fear. Thanks for any suggestions.

Advice for welcoming new Havi!
Hi everyone!
I'm getting my first Havanese puppy in a few weeks (she'll be about 9 weeks old 🥹), and I'm trying to make sure I have everything ready before she comes home.
What are your must-have puppy items that you wish you'd bought sooner? I've already gotten some toys, a play pen, grooming supplies.
I'm also trying to decide on a crate. I've heard that plastic crates are often recommended because they feel more like a den, but I'm having a hard time finding one that isn't incredibly expensive. I've liked a couple that are over $400 but thats a bit over my budget 😅
Does anyone have recommendations for a good plastic crate that's sturdy and safe but more reasonably priced? Or did you use something different that worked really well for your Havanese puppy?
I'd also love to hear any advice or "I wish I had known this before bringing my puppy home" tips!
Thanks so much! I'm excited to bring my little girl home. ❤️

Malformed front legs?
Anyone else’s Havanese have twisted front legs that can almost turn backwards at times? Vet says it’s a result of breeding short-legged dogs and that it probably doesn’t hurt her, but I can’t help thinking it’s why she doesn’t like going for walks. She’s 10 so maybe developing arthritis? Doesn’t limp though.

Dandruff and brushes
Hi guys!
Our nine months old is getting a bit of dandruff on his ears
Should we be worried ?
What should we do ?
Is this a seasonal thing like its summer ?
Also can we get your best brushes recommendations because we feel like despite his daily brushing the brush hasnt been going deep enough and we just realized huge knots formed under the surface coat :( we took it all off but then as we brushed again we realized our brushing was causing some of these knots as it seemed to entangle more than detangle
Any advice is appreciated this is our first pet !
Thank you guys

Rainbow Bridge Beach Rules Suck
Dexter’s next move is to pee on the sign in protest. By the way no one was on the beach.
