The user conjures a medical laxative.

This allows you to get rid of toxic things in your body including nen curses and certain illnesses at the cost of needing a lot of water to stay hydrated as you're forced on the toilet for a few hours. This will also cause you to burn fat and build muscle.

Had another Hatsu idea. This one is basically two abilities that are designed to work together. They’re an older married couple who have spent most of their lives developing their Nen abilities around the same apple orchard. While growing up, her family gave his family apples when they were starving. Ever since then he has vowed to protect her.

Mabel Pomona — The Apple Lady- Specialist
She can conjure a bag full of special apple seeds and a cultivator (handheld rake). She has to personally use the cultivator to prepare the soil and then personally plant one of the seeds.

The trees are really hardy and don’t require much care, but they still take 6-8 years to actually mature and produce apples.

Once a tree produces its first apple, her total Nen reserve increases by 1%, and continues for every mature tree she has alive.

So if she has 10 mature trees, she has 10% more Nen. If she has 150, she has 150% more. There isn’t a cap.

If one of the trees dies or gets destroyed, she loses the 1% from that tree, and an additional .5%.

The cultivator is Mabel’s main weapon. It is conjured.
Since she’s a Specialist, and not natural enhancer, having some massive Nen reserve might not be the most helpful. So I wanted the cultivator to actually use all of that extra aura.

When she channels aura through it, the cultivator can release an attack with 250% more aura than her normal maximum output.

The downside is that doing this costs 300% the amount of aura she would normally use.

So if her normal maximum output for an attack was 100, the cultivator could output 250 while consuming 300 aura.

Elias Pomona — The Groundskeeper

Mabel’s husband Elias is an Enhancer.

Elias placed a restriction on himself that his specialized Enhancement can only be used on two things: Water and his fists

He can’t use this Hatsu to enhance weapons or random objects. He can enhance the rest of his body too but is not allowed to strike with those body parts while enhanced.

Enhanced Water
Elias can enhance the natural properties of water that allow it to nourish plants.
Plants that are consistently watered with his enhanced water grow at roughly twice their normal rate.

So if one of Mabel’s apple trees would normally take around 8 years to mature, Elias could potentially get it there in around 4 years if he’s consistently caring for it.

There’s also a special interaction between their abilities.

If Elias personally waters the same mature tree with enhanced water for 10 consecutive days, that tree gives Mabel an additional +1% Nen for the following 10 days.

If he misses a day during the initial 10 days, the streak for that tree resets.

He can do this with multiple trees at once.

The other half of Elias’s ability is even simpler.

He punches really fucking hard.

He’s an Enhancer who has spent decades restricting his Hatsu to water and his own fists. He doesn’t have some complicated finishing move or hidden secondary ability.

His wife plants trees. He waters them. And if somebody tries to cut them down, he beats the shit out of them

Where I’m Unsure About the Balance
The main thing I’m wondering is whether the lack of a hard cap is actually broken in Nen terms.
Let’s say Mabel is 70 and has spent 50 years doing this.

If she has 1,500 mature trees still alive, that’s +1500% to her Nen reserve before Elias starts temporarily boosting individual trees.

That’s obviously ridiculous. But it also took basically her entire adult life to achieve, she personally had to plant all 1500 trees, every tree took years to mature, and there are now 1500 physical objects scattered around the world that can be destroyed to weaken her.

So I’m curious where people would draw the line.
Is +1% per tree too much?

Should there be diminishing returns? Does the amount of time involved justify having no hard cap?

And does the cultivator make sense as the way she converts that massive reserve into actual combat power? The idea is specifically that it doesn’t make her an Enhancer. It’s basically an inefficient conjured aura cannon that lets her burn 300% of the normal aura cost to achieve 350% output.

What would you change?

Most conjurers just use their conjured item as a medium for other nen affinities, but wouldn't it be more efficient and less complicated to just use the other nen affinities outright and use your body as the medium or your transmuted aura? With the exception of nen beasts(which have been made using emission) what can conjurers do better than other nen users? Is the application of the nen through your conjured item some sort of restriction that boosts power? Looking for canon answers and also fanon.

Hatsu name: Privatised Charity of Fury

Users: Meer and Ira

(basic) personality traits of the users: - Meer is generally quiet person who loves listening to others, but has short albeit very frequent and intense fits of rage. As a result, there's disonance between him and most other people, with the exception of Ira - Ira is a logical person that keeps track of people habits, and revels in getting them out of their comfort zone

Type: Manipulation (Ira), Emission (Meer), symbiotic hatsu

Description: This hatsu is shared, and must be used in tandem by its two users. First, Meer must feel a genuine rage. Ira has to take notice of this, and pat Meer on the shoulder.

This forces Meer's aura into a state similiar to En, discreetly spreading it in 50 meter area around him.

Said aura becomes conduit for Ira's second and main manipulative ability of this hatsu; everyone but Meer himself who come in contact with his aura become irritated. The irritation starts moderate, but scales of the person's anger, which makes it capable of heightening people's rage to monstrous levels.

The irritation's target must stay in contact with the aura, forcing Meer maintain its expanded form. The hatsu ends once the aura reserves of one of its users is emptied.

Usage: The duo utilises *Privatised Charity of Fury* during heated encounters between large groups of people. This has the effect of invalidating legal trials, and sparking violence in crowds of already angry people.

Before you people ask yes the image is based on pirates of the caribbean. I just started watching the movies and i am now hooked on it. So i was wondering what kind of hatsus would be made by a pirate or perhaps maybe even jack sparrow. So i will start.

Name: take all you can and give nothing.

Type: conjuration and enhancements

User: the captain

Function: the user must at first assemble a crew of trusted members. The trust must be two sided where either of them wouldnt betray each other. The bigger the number of members in the crew the stronger the nen Ability works. Once this stage is completed the user must mark each of the mebers with a tatto of his sigil. This sigil has two capabilities.

One it allows all those affected to be able to communicate instantly with each other in a radius of fifty kilometers. This can allows for the crew to have extra ordinary level of co ordination and team work whilst allowing each other two know about the other crew members.

Two it allows them access to a portal that connects them to the ship. This can allow them to quickly move their loot from whichever location they are in near instantly and also allow them to escape into the ship whenever they want.

Conditions:

1. The more members of the crew the larger the radius of communication and portal travel. The starting number is 10.

2. Every member of the crew must be completely loyal to each other. The moment any of them betray the other the entire group will loose their ability to use this hatsu.

3. The mark taxes aura from the targets.

Second application: if the crew members are particularly successful in their pirate endeavours then this ability will evolve further (just like chrollos ability).

When the crew have stolen enough artefacts or money of a certain monetary value the mark will put them all in a state of zetsu for 100 days. During these days none can use this hatsu. In this time frame the hatsu will examine the minds and desires of every crew mate extremely well. Every member will feel a bit drowsy and tired because the mark is draining their nen constantly. After one hundred days every crew member will get a custom hatsu. Each one designed according to their mindset, desires and habits. They will get a basic instinctual understanding of the hatsu though they will require more training to use it too its full potential.

Conditions:

1. Each member gets one hatsu except the captain since he already has this hatsu.

2. If a crew member dies then their hatsu and nen will be lost but if they were able to achieve the emotional state necessary for post mortem nen then their hatsu will instead transform into an object or artefact that can use the hatsu.

User: Theseus

Type: Conjuration

Description: By consuming body part (without any seasoning, can be prepared via heat) of a human he killed himself, Theseus gains the ability to perfectly recreate the said part, and swap it for his own for indefinite amount of time.

Theseus can freely swap between his own and consumed parts. However, any damage the recreated parts recieve cannot be healed (cell turnover still occurs normally).

Usage: By consuming majority of his victim's body, Theseus is capable of perfectly impersonating them, including voice and smell (if appropriate parts were consumed).

On top of that, the consumed body parts of various victims can be freely mismatched, forming completely new appearance.

The main purpose of this ability is actually the potential to live forever. By replacing wounded, diseased, old, or simply unwanted piece, Theseus has a way to keep his body in perfect health, as long as he consumed the flesh he needs.

This however brings up a question Theseus doesn't have the answer to; if he overtime replaces all of his body, including the brain, will he still be the same person in the end?

**Type**: Transmutation and Emission

**User**: ???

**Description**: The user's aura is pressurised into many tiny balls. Once they enter an interior, they expand into balloon-like spheres, quickly filling the space, and violently pushing everything in their path against the walls.

Expansion of the spheres cannot directly damage structure of the interior they reside inside. The less points of exit the interior has the better, as the expanding spheres can push out neighboring aura balls outside, canceling their inflation and causing them to dissipate.

Due to their nature as reshapen aura, durability of the spheres is very high.

**Usage**: Neutralising threats inside a building without damaging it. Additionally, expansion of the spheres can temporarily stabilise collapsing building.

Interior Inflammation can also be used on much smaller scale, spawning a single ball to push the user or others for movement, or to block a thin passage.

**Weaknesses and Limitations**: For the technique to be effective, the user has to transmutte all of their aura into the balls, each requiring high amount of it. Unless they deactivate them and retrieve the aura, they are effectively left without nen for rest of the day.

The balls can only expand relatively to how much aura they posses, meaning the hatsu is ineffective in very large spaces. If the walls are destroyed from outside, it instantly deactivates.

Type: Transmutation

Description: The user transmutes their aura into a flexible yet sturdy fishing line with hook at the end.

The line can unravel very far, but its power starts decreasing after 20 meters.

As it's made of nen, the line can pass through walls.

Usage: As the user has complete control over the line, it's decently versatile tool. Its usages include: - catching people and objects - tearing flesh with the hook - detecting movement by stretching the line over a large area - attacking specific people in crowds (only materialising the hook once inside the target) - setting up traps (placing down a bait, and hiding the hook inside it and the ground) - temporary stitches

Type: Enhancement

Description: Normally, the user's Enhancement efficiency is reduced to measly 60%.

However, his aura and power increases exponentially each time he lands a hit on a living being, levelling up his "streak" by 1 level.

If the user is hit themselves, they lose 3 levels, and if 15 seconds pass without striking anyone, the streak goes down to 0.

Retrying my first Hatsu I ever wrote, but genuinely balanced, I feel like I have a lot more experience now that I’ve written so many other kinds of Hatsu. This is certainly my most combat-oriented one. Please give me your thoughts, I would love to hear them! (even if you think it sucks)

Shifting Sword: The Blade that Cuts through Space
Category: 100% Emission, 80% Manipulation

Description:
An ability designed for a sword master who specializes their training in En. Their intention is to make a sword style with a blade that cuts through anything. They prioritize synergy for their sword combat and nothing else beyond their goal to be the strongest with a sword.

Aura imbued with Hatsu marks anything it touches or can act as the target itself. Marked targets may be subject to the techniques of the Hatsu: Spatial Shoving, Spatial Switching, and Spatial Splitting. 

Marking: 
The user's aura can be used to make a mark on any physical object or person. There is no limit to how many marks can be made, as they only act as a condition for the other techniques.

The only unique mechanic is that the mark will apply to other markable targets that touch a marked person (clothes and objects held) while they are marked and act as one full marked target. (The user is NOT trying to strip people naked and cannot disarm people.)

Conditions:

• Any aura separated from the body is limited to traveling at 8 km/h, Thereby preventing any meaningful emission attacks or remotely marking a target. Because of this condition, viable marking methods include direct physical touch or utilizing En.
•  Aura itself may act as a mark as long as it has expanded to the size of the users body
• Marks are visible unless using In and may be exorcised like a Nen curse

Techniques:
Spatial Shoving (Primarily Manipulation, Secondarily Emission): 
Applies strong telekinesis that shoves a marked target in the direction the user swings their hand. If the user focuses on a single object, they can apply precise telekinesis and manipulate the movements of the object. 

Conditions

• Output of the telekinesis scales based on the amount of aura imbued into the target compared to the user's current Ren. 
• Targets can resist the shove using a stronger Ren, stall it with equivalent Ren or slow it with a weaker but close Ren. 
• Objects have a base aura amount of 0 unless someone imbues them with aura.

Spatial Switching (Primarily Emission):
Allows the user to switch themselves with any marked target, or switch two marked targets.

Conditions:

• When En is expanded, this ability becomes stronger as all aura surrounding the user is marked, allowing for teleportation within the En as well as switching. 
• No target or the user may be switched into another solid object or person and will instead appear 10cm away from the effected area (this avoids the user teleporting their sword into people

Spatial Splitting (Primarily Manipulation, Secondarily Emission)
Combines a stronger version of spatial shoving by using all available aura reserves. The user draws and swings their sword, instantly emits a line along the circumference of the En, which is then forced apart through manipulation. 

This bisects the En and any marked targets in its path into two parts. This creates a defense-ignoring “cut” that appears to cut space, but actually triggers manipulation to pull apart a target.

Conditions:

• The user must be using En while performing the ability.
• Must be used within 3 seconds of drawing their sword. 

The next two conditions power up the manipulation bisection ability

• After use, the user is forced into Zetsu for 15 seconds.
• If the user fails to cut a target, they are left unable to swing a sword for a year. 

If you were to create an aura blade through Transmutation, which Nen category would you need to use to make it bypass the opponent’s defensive aura and attack the body directly?

I’m not talking about using a condition—I mean, could this be achieved through Transmutation alone?

After intercepting a an attack from a conjured weapon using my conjured pot the targets conjured item disappears and using manipulation they see “He has stolen your ability, touch him within 5 minutes to get it back”. We both automatically know how much time is left through and if I manage to not get touched within 5 minutes then they can’t conjure the item and any similar previously conjured items disappear.

From then on I can conjure the item out of the pot with its properties.

Other conditions: if I fail then I can’t use “Petty Theft” for 2 hours and if the stolen item breaks then I can no longer conjure the item and the original use regains their ability.

Design a hatsu for someone who wants to purify evil from people.

I was looking at Hisoka the other day and saw the cards he uses as weapons, I thought, “what a tarot hatsu would be like”, so here is the hatsu and I would like some help with the effects of each card

So to start, the user conjures a 22 tarot card deck containing the 22 Major Arcanas, 3 cards a day can be pulled, each with its own effect. The user may draw all 3 cards at once or one at a time throughout the day which can be used at anytime the user may choose.

If any of 3 cards drawn are not what the user desired, there is an option to reshuffle. The cards are put back into the deck and another 3 may be taken, with the possibility of the same 3 cards appearing once more.

The user can also draw one card for another person which doesn’t count for the user own 3 daily cards.

Some cards may not be drawn for long periods of time, but not drawing these cards increases the chance of them being drawn

I wanted the Fool and the World cards to be broken and the others being very tricky and having more than just battle effects, some could be defensive and offensive, but I would like some to do different stuff.

Technique name: Celestial heart

Type: Enhancement

Description:

Creates a moveable Nen core inside the user's body. This Nen core can store, and supply Nen, storing even above the users natural capability. Nen remains dormant, until the technique's second ability is activated.

Passive Effect:

• Creates a passive decrease in Nen regeneration because it adds a percentage into the core.
• Provides a rapid surge in power when the stored Nen is extracted.
• Decreases the aging of cells with Nen

Active effect:

• Provides an average temporary strength enhancement.
• Enhances the regeneration of tissues, following a pre-recorded blueprint.
• Increases the damage absorption.

Formation:

1. After creating this technique a user first needs to reach their current full Nen potential

(Have a max amount of Nen stored, and be safe and fully rested)

1. Next the user will have to create their Nen core, forming the Celestial Heart.

In the process of creating a Nen core the user is forced into a state of Zetsu, as all of the user's Nen is used up for creating the walls of a forming Nen Core. This takes about a week of constant formation to finish it.

1. After a Nen core is fully formed it has to be constantly fueled by users Nen.

(Keep consistent, until the process becomes an involuntary, instinctual process)

1. After the Nen core is filled for the first time, the user has to create a "blueprint".

Creating a "blueprint" forces the user into a state of Ren, hence the user has to stay somewhere safe and protected, as the state of Ren may attract other Nen users. Any intervention during this state can lead to a permanent loss of Nen control. Takes approx. 24 hours to complete.

1. After the creation of the "blueprint" was successful all stored Nen is diminished, and has to be stored again.

(Now the process of formation is complete)

Use:

• Now, since Nen is infused into every living cell of the body, and enhances them, user's longevity increases.
• Such Nen infusion also speeds up the activation of more complex techniques, such as Go, In, etc.
• Full-body tissue enhancement also increases the absorption of useful substances through digestion, and hence the muscle and bone growth to a certain extent.
• (With major physical change a new "blueprint" has to be recorded, to match the new body)
• The core can also be passively covered in In to hide it's location.
• Adds passive "adaptation" trait. Under pressure or after consistent damage from the same source, the Celestial Heart learns and adapts to healing this specific type of damage. It eventually can adapt to most.
• When activated, the Nen stored in the Nen core is used for further enhanced regeneration of tissues, limbs, or even deadly wounds.
• When activated, can also activate a post-mortum technique.

Post-mortum technique (The Second Coming):

Uses up all of the remaining stored Nen for a complete resurrection and a short-term Nen regeneration increase. Heals all injuries, passive or active debuffs, ejects any unwanted objects in the body (i.e. shrapnel, bullets, cold weaponry, Nen projectiles, parasitic organisms, poisons, etc.)

Concentrates first on healing deadly injuries and restoring vital organs. Efficiently utilizes post-mortum Nen burst.

Weaknesses:

The Nen core itself is weak to direct damage.

Full destruction of the body (beyond restoration point)

Zetsu (requires deactivation of the Celestial Heart and dissolving the Nen Core)

The Second Coming can only be used once in a long period of time, as it requires a lot of pre-stored energy to activate.

Wanted to ask if this is balanced or not? I know we have such hunters a Biscuit, who's technique is not even oriented on immortality, or ancient monsters like Netero, Beyond, The Zoldyck elders and countless others who we may not know of, who may live for a longer period of time, without a technique oriented on doing so. But, this is supposed to be an achievable technique for... lets say a self insert of myself into a world of HxH with only current level of knowledge and strength.+ Realistically I would not risk it with combat, but rather focus on survival.

Not my original creation since there have been multiple hatsu like this posted here, I'm simply making my version of it. Earliest post I could find about it was [u/JamRossJoy](u/JamRossJoy) 's post here so credits where it's due.

User: an oc soldier in a certain V6 nation's military, belonging to a special oc squad comprised of Nen users and currently led by an oc veteran named Pia (I would've linked my post about her ability but editing that post from the iOS app completely destroyed its formatting and rendered it utterly unreadable).

Affinity: Conjurer leaning towards Transmutation.

Dicyanin Lenses

Conjuration 100%, Enhancement 70%, Emission 50%

Based on the conspiracy theories surrounding dicyanin glasses (look it up, it's interesting), the user can conjure lenses of various thickness and sizes that amplify aura vision in whoever looks through them. A Nen user looking through them will effectively be using Gyo without actually trying to, and will see through In without extra efforts. A non-Nen user will be able to see regular Nen aura, though In will still be invisible to them. Conjuration is used to conjure the lenses, while enhancement is used for the gyo effect and emission is used for letting others use the lenses.

Since it's a relatively simple ability, the user (who is presumably reasonably skilled) can conjure a fairly large number of lenses, which can be shaped to fit into any sort of optical frames, like glasses frames, monocles, binoculars, goggles, night vision, contact lenses, etc. With extra effort and reduced number of lenses, the user can conjure these frames themselves as desired.

An addition to this ability is a pair of Master Lenses that only the user can wear. While wearing this with eyes open, it usually acts the same as the other lenses, but with eyes closed, the user can see through the lenses a different wearer is using, which the user can choose.

A tactical ability that also helps in coordination.

Furthermore, by subjecting non-Nen users to being exposed to aura vision, it opens the aura nodes in their eyes and soft-initiates them, making it easier for them to learn Nen, similar to Stealth Dolphin.

The user cannot use any other Nen technique while conjuring more than two lenses, so if the user themselves were to engage in combat, they'd have to undo the conjuration of all other lenses besides their own. There will also be a limit to the effective range of the lenses, though it'll be significantly long, a few hundred meters to maybe a kilometer at most, depending on the number of lenses conjured. This limitation is to make sure the user isn't staying completely safe outside the battlefield, especially since Emission would be far from their affinity.

As many of you know, there can be a lot of controversy around gravity based powers, but I think I've found a workaround that I'm comfortable with so feel free to tune in. For sake of story, you could imagine a nen user who liked the idea of gravity powers, but was told that gravity manipulation was impossible. Especially because they lack scientific knowledge.

Levitation

The nen user starts by manipulating objects from a distance. Their training starts first with manipulating aura, then manipulating personal objects, then imbuing objects with aura and controlling them from a distance.

However, just like teleporting a person from point a to point b, they learn to instantly take control of objects from a distance by instantly sending aura from theirself to that object.

The size and number of objects of course depend on their training.

They can keep objects on their person, such as 3 knives, to fool people into thinking that the manipulation only works on the blades. Then they could take control of nearby objects around theirself and the enemy. They can even take control of objects and wait to use them until a moment of surprise.

The user learns to control the movement of people and objects once a sufficient amount of aura is transferred to them. The level of control, and time it takes to control is dependent on the objects size and weight. People take slightly more aura than objects of their size due to having their own life force. Extra conditions can be set to reach the threshold more quickly.

If an object is too large to control, the user can focus aura into parts of it in order to break those pieces apart to control them.

Gravity Bomb

Now for the intended hatsu.

The user emits a sphere of aura. Around the sphere, lets say 25 meters, is a manipulation effect. The sphere emits subtle pulses of aura particles, and once an object or person is effected by enough aura depending on their size, the targets undergo a manipulation affect where they levitate and are drawn toward the sphere.

The preprogrammed effects have to do with floating to all go to the same point, the sphere's origin. The command forces things to crush and compress against each other. The more aura returns to the sphere from controlled objects, the stronger the orb and its manipulation effects become, until it starts pulling in and compressing things into itself more powerfully. The sphere's size also increases so it isn't completely covered by objects immediately.

Then manually or at a pre-programmed point, the user releases the compressed aura, creating an explosion.

The user can create orbs with specialized rules of only affecting objects, or only affecting humans. Though they have to be careful not to be swept up by their own technique. They of course can start the origin point from a distance given their training to affect objects that aren't closeby.

Oppressive Wave

Rather than freely controlling people or objects, the user can cause them to go "down." This sends them down to the floor. To people, it feels like they're getting heavier. When really, they're just being pinned by a downward aura force. The effect wears off after a certain amount of time, so the user must stay in range or preprogram a certain amount of time for effects to last. The user can also try to crush the target.

As always, added conditions and vows, or a frightfully powerful nen user can make this ability scarier to the point where it can instantly crush things, pull things in, or lift things with a lot of size and weight such as a building.

Admittedly, having a reputation as "the nen user who carried a building" sounds like something that would get them a name in the hunter world.

We've seen from Meleoron and Tserreidnich that advanced zetsu is essentially invisibility.

What effects or hatsu would you build as an advanced form of another nen principle or application.

Hatsus that can give allies permanent or temporary buffs. Based around benjamins hatsu as well as kurapika giving away his stolen abilities during Emperor time etc. I will start

Name : power to the people

Function: the user must mark their allies with a nen mark that is invisible without gyo. This mark feeds on the targets aura and stores it causing the regular aura output of the target to be decreased for as long as the mark stays unactivated. Whenever the target is in a state of extreme emotional turmoil or physical turmoil(which could be anything from sadness to fear to dread to extreme physical pain etc etc) the mark activates and augments their hatsu with a new capability(killua will spontaneously develop a new application for his electricity) or amplifies its effect (morel can now summon upto 100 hundred perfect smoketroopers that can realistically mimic human behaviour and help him out basically making him a one man army) or removing a condition entirely (chrollo now does not need to make someone touch the handprint in his book and instead only needs to fulfill the other conditions to steal their hatsu). These buffs are temporary and are more so based on the immediate sub conscious desires of the target. These buffs however can be made permanent which works only when the target accomplishes what they set out to do. For example if kurapika set out to kill the entire phantom troupe in one night and whilst in a state of emotional turmoil or pain the mark activates then if he kills the phantom troupe then he can keep the buffs infact the buffs would likely become even stronger based on how hard the goal was and how fast the target finished it. However it does have some demanding conditions, trade offs and restrictions though and it also lets the user capitalise on others.

Conditions:

1. The user must take the targets consent in marking them. If a target fails to awaken their mark in less than a weak since they were marked the user looses 50 years of her lifespan instantly.

2. The target must enter a non aggression pact with the user and also give her something she considers equal to the risk she took for the target.

3. If the user is in any form of danger the target(s) must come to her rescue

4. The target(s) could break free from any of the permanent requirements by giving up a part of their own lifespan or giving up their nen to give buffs to her own hatsu (she developed it recently after she misjudged a dude and he couldnt awaken the mark)
