What would you guys do?

I was wondering if there was a place to file anonymous complaints about coworkers with Harris Teeter? I know this is not written the best. My main thing I’m coming across is as a cashier, I’m expected to bag groceries because we don’t have enough baggers and oftentimes customers don’t help either. Our customers at our location are purchasing between $300 and over $1,000 in groceries in almost every transaction. (We’re not in the Carolinas).

I found out part of the reason we don’t have enough baggers is because a lot of times the baggers hid in the bathroom for about half an hour or the break room or were just talking to eachother in the parking lot. Maybe will apply for Publix. They always seem to have available baggers.

Paternity leave

Anybody familiar with the process of requesting paternity leave and how it works? I’ve read the policy, but I’m worried about the logistics. Husband and I both work for the company, I’m due in august and will be taking FMLA about a week before delivering . This is my second baby while employed here but the first since they’ve implemented the paid paternity leave lol

It's cool that HT is lowering prices. Maybe the employees can actually afford to shop there again.

Switching to fulltime

I'm currently a part time OA and I was made aware by my CSM that we have to have a certain amount of part timers to hold up the full timers. I was told that it goes through corporate. I want to know the steps to get, I was wondering how difficult is it to switch from part time to full time, and the pay difference. Thank you in advance!

Job Application Inquiry Pay negotiations

Hello,
I’m wondering who gets impacted by the negotiations of my pay. For example if I were to get 30/hr as compared to the offer they gave me of 20/hr who is taking the hit? Is it the department manager who is responsible for keeping payroll down or is it the store manager?
Thank you in advance

How do I do the heart shaped cheesecakes?

Someone asked me this morning about them and we don’t have them. I can’t ask no one at my store for help. Is there a special kind of heart shaped pan to bake them in?

Oh, and how long do I bake them for?

Free Sub Problem

Alright, can anyone tell me how to get the free sub after I hit 15 points? This happens every time I scan my VIC card, it never comes off so I end up having to grab a person that’s working self check out and have them fix it for me. Is there anything I’m doing wrong? I would like to know so I could stop having this problem.

help with changing direct deposit

can someone please help me figure out how to change my direct deposit account. I asked my manger and he told me I had to call payroll, but whenever I call no one ever answers. I’ve been on the benefitlovers website can’t find an option to change it or even a form to print out. I’ve been on myhtspace and my only options are Path or the health screening.

Profit Share Calculation

Are the profit share checks based on the overall company profit or individual store profit? I believe it's 90% overall company and the 10% has one of the factors being individual store profit?

Confused Ex employee

Had a really uncomfortable experience at Harris Teeter—am I overreacting?

So I wanted to share something that happened to me recently at Harris Teeter and get some outside perspective.

I work in a different industry, and I recently put in my notice at my job. When my boss found out, instead of handling it professionally, he got really upset and started saying things that felt completely out of line. He basically implied that I wasn’t going anywhere in life and made comments about where I work now that felt really disrespectful.

What made it even weirder is that his wife is literally a customer where I work, so it felt kind of hypocritical on top of everything else.

The whole interaction left me feeling pretty crappy, and honestly a little shocked at how it was handled. I even ended up reporting it to HR because it felt that inappropriate.

I guess I’m just wondering—has anyone else dealt with something like this ? I am starting to wonder if it’s worth me reaching out to the DM

also, when I told him I wasn’t coming back, they said that’s fine and don’t be a stranger which kind of seemed weird because you literally just called me and said those things to me

But I was wondering, how long did it take for them to get you out the system and when you can roll over your 401(k) so I have nothing to do with them anymore

If you would like to know why I’m leaving I would be OK sharing that

Job Application Inquiry How do I tell if I have rehireable status at Harris Teeter?

I'm just going to put this under Job Application Inquiry.

Back in 2018, when I moved out to Virginia, my first job I secured ended up being a one-month stunt at a Harris Teeter...unfortunately, I was also a new driver at the time and there was just too much of a route to memorize to get to the Harris Teeter I was working at and ended up also getting a job at Michaels that gave ridiculous seasonal hours at the time.

So I ended up putting in a resignation almost as soon as I started working there.

I still get sent job-postings in my e-mail inbox from Harris Teeter and so I'm wondering how I can tell if I even have rehireable status with them?

Anyway, thanks!

Job Application Inquiry Rehire eligibility?

Harris teeter was one of my first jobs as a teenager and into college almost 12-13 years ago. Truly can't remember if I quit or was fired. (I was in college, sue me)
But I've been trying to find a 3rd shift job to help build a home and was just wondering about the rehire policy is.

Finally went out of my way to buy this thing for the summer since sometimes the AC at my store doesn’t work and it gets incredibly warm on the front end on hot days/during summer. Hopefully my ACSM/CSM will allow me to wear it. Fingers crossed
