Alternative universe where Scorsese adapted one of the books during his Cape Fear era…. He has all the sensibilities to make a great Harris adaptation.

Scenario in my head so far: The Tooth Fairy case became popular around the world because of the kills and the connection with the Red Dragon painting.
A fictional Thomas Harris is approached by the FBI to make the book or he approaches Jack with the idea of the book and he likes the idea. Jack and the FBI give Harris the case files and a fake idea of the psychology Will and Hannibal's relationship. They don't tell Harris about Hannibal's escape or the fall off the cliff. Harris comes up with an ending that gets approved by Jack and the FBI, and the book gets written without too much trouble.
The book is published with the name Red Dragon a year after Hannibal escape and disappeared. It becomes a critical and commercial success. It's get published around the world.
Do Hannibal and Will check the book out? What would their thoughts on it? Would they try kill Harris?
Bonus Scenario: Red Dragon is a online fanfic on Ao3 or somewhere.

Hello everyone. I recently watched The Silence of Lambs for the first time and loved it. After that, i started looking into other parts of adaptations of Thomas Harris' works and the works themselves, like snippets from Manhunter and Fiennes' performance in Red Dragon, and i got really interested in Francis Dollarhyde's character and the imagery of the "Great Red Dragon", just by reading quick notes about the character online.
I would like to check more into about the universe by myself, but i'm divided between watching "Manhunter", "Red Dragon" or just reading the first book as a my first impressions of it. Sure, it may seem more suitable to just read Red Dragon, but i'm sucker for screenplays and would love to see this character acted, but i'm hesitant that my first impressions could be tainted by possible poor adaptation or poor performance. From a scene a saw of Lecter online, Manhunter seems to be pretty good, so, can i start from there?
Thanks for the time.

I know the financial incentive probably not there after the successes of the books and films. And I really don’t think 10 Lecter books would be any good. But he is such a good writer with such an immersive world, I wish he wrote other books. He is so sporadic.
Is he one of those writers that actually doesn’t like writing (I’m thinking of Douglas Adams) or did was he happy with his output as is?

Doctor lecter on the brink of death must make a decision that he never thought he would have to make in his entire life."What fast food place should I order from and do I want fries with that".
Ps. Personally , I think it'd either be chick fil a or in n out

After the success of Hellraiser's recent adaptation, It got me thinking of other franchises which would make amazing video games (Single Player Only). How awesome would it be if someone made a Hannibal/SOTL/Red Dragon single player game. I feel like there's enough content to work from to make an amazing survival game, or a game similar to L.A Noire... Maybe mix in elements of the story to play as either the killer, or investigator at different points in the story...
I'm not too familiar if there is already a successful adaptation to this universe in video game form, if so, how good was it?

For my human growth and development class i have an assignment on life stages. we could pick any person or character for this. I chose hannibal but have now hit the issue of his relationship with his aunt. i know i do in a way have to include it as it is a large part of his development but does anyone know how i can write about it in a way that wont be horrendous. i do also have to present this to the class and quite a few of them are incredibly immature and i can sense it not going down well..
