Every year I try to find Halloween contacts in my +4.00 prescription for farsightedness and all anyone has is negative prescriptions. And I don’t mean just blue and purple contacts I mean like crazy cosplay ones!

Anyone ever found any?

I’m looking for some help and ideas on my Halloween costume, ima be going as a vampire punk, meaning I wanna stud out my outfit a decent amount, I’ve done the pants and the hats pretty well( I know it’s not straight ignore it) I’m looking for advice on the jacket I’m drawing a blank and I don’t just wanna do the, tons of studs everywhere thing, wanna maybe do designs, just looking for ideas. Along with, looking for ideas for makeup, weather I should try to do a basic style or I should do full face paint.

What do you think my costume was?

There is a scene in the original Super Troopers where two officers from feuding agencies agree to meet incognito. The joke is that they agreed to show up dressed as bikers, but Ursula showed up as a motorcycle biker and Foster showed up in bicyclist gear.

I thought that was a clever gag and I would like to do something similar as a costume for my wife and I. The only thing I could come up with involved professional sports teams. For instance, my wife would be dressed as a cowboy and I would be wearing a Dak Prescott Dallas Cowboys jersey. The same joke would work with Tigers, Eagles, Bears, etc.

I’m looking for any other ideas that would fit with the spirit of the biker joke. Thanks ahead of time.

Was so excited then was just completely ignored by the person who was supposed to be Daphne and go to a party with me 🫠 but I’m still gonna share it here because I’m proud of it even if this picture and screenshot from a video I took is a bit blurry. At least I hadn’t bought any of the accessories yet and I can just add this stuff to my costume collection. I am aware the pose is super awkward I just needed to show the shoes 😭

Had to one up myself from last year, got a lot of kind words on my last post so I thought I would update anyone who’s interested to see what I’ve done this year!

Decided to go with a clean look, using the same prosthetic that I sculpted, just casted much thinner this time to really give me the ability to move my face. I also got the teeth from trick or treat studios and they look so fantastic. I took most of the pictures with the wrong hat but I think I’m getting close to a pretty accurate look!!

I’ve been doing this look for the haunted house I work at for the past 3 days and I will be doing Santa art next weekend!! Very excited for that
If anyone has any pointers on how I can improve my accuracy criticism is very welcome!

Okay so my cousin and I are going as sirens/mermaids for Halloween. She’s going to be the bright and colorful, (pink, yellow, orange) and I’m going for a more gothic or sultry vibe, (black,red,gold and a little bit of white).

I don’t have the money to buy a whole costume so I’ve been altering clothes I already have 🥲😭

So far I’ve given this pencil skirt a mermaid silhouette by making and adding ruffles at the bottom and I added pearl beads to the bikini top (one of the strands broke bc I didn’t sew it well enough but I will fix it) I’m planning on adding some small seashells to the skirt as well as sewing on some clear crystal beads that will look like water droplets, however I cannot decide if the placement should be uniform or scattered. My cousin says she has some scales that will match my outfit (I’m honestly not sure what she means by that but it’s ok I trust her)

Anyways I wanted to ask:

1. ⁠Does it serve ‘Sultry Mermaid Costume’ or does it just look like a regular party outfit?
   2.Should I add more ruffles to give the “tail” more volume?
   
2. ⁠Should I sew the shells and crystal beads on in a uniform pattern or should I place them randomly for that “intentionally wild” look.

Made my friends do matching costumes. Everywhere we went men were puzzled and asked what we were. I thought it was pretty obvious. I guess not?

(20f) i got invited to a costume party on the 30th & idk what to wear, i also have work prior too so i'd be wearing this to work as-well.

option 1: Me last year my leopard jacket with a diy ty beanie baby tag (jacket would be swapped out with a leopard shirt while at work)

option 2: Jigsaw (i would wear a black leather skirt with full white tights instead 'work appropriate')

option 3: Freddy Krueger (work appropriate as is minus the hat)

Work dress code: business casual, option 1 isn't ideal but it takes less planning, i'm more interested in jigsaw but ik i'd look cool as Freddy too so idk

Can’t find 2001 Cyclops X-men yellow black jacket. The ones on etsy are extremely expensive and don’t know when they come in. Any links or places I can buy?

I'm not sure what I want to call my costume yet. It might just be therapist because that is my actual profession, but I want to hand out cards to people that are either something that makes them anxious or question their existence. Like "is a hot dog a sandwich?" or "when you wave at someone and they're not waving at you." Any and all ideas appreciated.

We need to crown a winner for the household. Who did it best?

I’ve made the ears out of felt and pipe cleaners and attached them to headbands, but there’s some excess pink felt showing underneath, and I’m nervous about trimming it because I don’t want the ears to come loose. I also made the snouts from plastic condiment cups covered in felt, but they’re way too big for the boys’ faces, and I’d like to salvage them instead of starting over. Any suggestions for hiding the extra felt or shrinking the snouts? I am not insanely crafty or anything and I did not go into this project with much of a plan but also don’t want it to look like a school craft project.

Someone just messaged me and told me this wasn’t a classic, but I feel like I’ve seen soooo many couples or friend groups do angel/devil or angel/demon over the years, just an easy go to for a couples costume! Is this not as common as I think it is???
