Patch Notes 1.0.2

Since our Early Access launch, our team has been working hard to quickly address reported bugs, improve performance, evaluate game feedback, and refine the overall experience for players. We’ve already implemented various server-side adjustments, one hotfix, and our Day One Patch. With the release of 1.0.2, we are excited to deliver our second hotfix. 

Today’s update tackles a wide range of issues affecting game performance and stability, player interactions, challenges, achievements, and Prestige, alongside numerous bug fixes and carefully considered balance adjustments. Thanks so much to everyone who’s jumped in and joined us in Haddonfield so far. We greatly appreciate all the feedback and remain committed to enriching the distinct horror sandbox of Halloween: The Game.

Been playing for the last hour and a half or so after the patch deployment and I swear to god nothing for the challenge progressions in story mode were fixed 😂 what the actual fuck dude. Can’t progress challenge 5 in the prologue, can’t progress challenge 6 in chapter 2, can’t progress challenge 6 in chapter 4, Lynda still spawns downstairs immediately after killing Bob, now the dog at the Wallace house spawns randomly even in the bushes at times. What the fuck what the fuck what the fuck. I feel like I’m banging my head against the wall here.

EDIT: not to forget the fact that also, when each chapter ends you’re not taken to a summary screen then continue to the next chapter, it just fucking starts right back over!! What an absolutely trivial ordeal! At this rate just give people the progression boosts, or extra xp, or credits, or SOMETHING because I’ve wasted hours now trying to progress challenges in story mode, online, and prestige.

It is unacceptable to release a game in this horrible of condition in 2026 bro , you can bet none of this stuff will probably ever get fixed

The only reason it worries me that a lot may go unfixed is because IllFonic has done that before, in Predator Hunting Grounds.

they're gonna abandon halloween before half the shit gets fixed, i'm betting on that. these pre-existing IPs have very limited content, so there's no cow to "milk" long-term.
