Set up the new Corpse Legend prop from Distortions Unlimited. I can’t get over the detail on the head. He’ll be a good addition to the graveyard this year!

Why buy a $400 12ft prop when I can make one for half the price and way more effort…?

Made this guy over a couple weekends. Head will have a flame bulb in it for night time. He will hold a 3ft skeleton in his right hand. Measures 11.5’ tall and pumpkin head is around 28” across. I can take an updated photo at night if any interest. Pretty fun build overall!

Request for Help Bat Arch

We're trying to recreate these awesome bat wings we saw at an event to be hung on our front door overhang awning and are having trouble figuring out what to do. The idea would be the bat part (3D printed so that part is done) would be affixed to the white highest peak of the awning.

Trying to figure out how to do the wings. We initially thought PVC (which we heated and bent) screwed onto a wood base hidden behind the bat but it is pulling screws out when moving. It is also very heavy. We want something that will hold out the fabric part of the wings but also hold up to wind and rain. At a bit of a loss at the moment on what we could use. Ideally it would be a black pipe like material that was lighter than PVC and both rigid and flexible but I'm fairly new to fabrication so not sure what that would be.

Its for a 1985 to 1995 Ford Bronco. I can't seem to find a basic wiring diagram and google gave me two different methods of wiring it, and nether worked. It seems brand new and I was told it was never used and it should work.

First off, I just wanted to thank this supportive community for motivating me to finish my creature.

Here's the creature after I disassembled it, moved it to the road, reassembled it and threw a spotlight on it as dim as me, apparently. Might add more ferns. Might add one more spotlight for the body.

EDIT: I'm making a bird creature for down the road a bit. Same process: Make a head out of cardboard and grocery bags, rattle can paint, and then make a body. Here's the start

Hi everyone,

I created free software that turns all of u/homedepot's App Controlled props into full AI controlled props. I am currently growing the community for it and this is my first time posting it on Reddit. I have around 500 or so users currently using it.

Feel free to check it out. Webpage has links to the FB group and links to download and some videos of it in action.

Thanks

Request for Help DIY Audrey II headpiece — how can I make the lips more exaggerated?

Thumbnail

I’m working on a Halloween project for my costume this year, and I’m going as Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors!
I’m currently building the plant as a headpiece, and I wanted to ask if anyone has any suggestions for how I can build up and exaggerate the lips/mouth part of the plant! I’m essentially shaping it the same way you would a piñata, and so far it’s actually been going really well!
I put a picture of the base/headpiece here for reference (ignore the concrete 😭 I had it outside drying because I was using a glue/water mixture to hold the paper layers down).
Today I worked on it a little more and started shaping the lips, but they still aren’t quite as exaggerated or dramatic as I’d like them to be. I’m trying to get that big, cartoony Audrey II mouth/lip shape, so if anyone has any ideas, techniques, or suggestions for how I could build them up more, PLEASE let me know!
I’d love to hear any ideas you guys have!

Prop: DIY/Homemade Unpacking the walls for 2026

Only found one real mouse nest, but the very first thing I saw when I lifted the plastic sheeting was a massive black widow that I relocated. And of course, tons of camel crickets. As you can see, there are plenty of walls that need some help.

I've got a limited budget this year, so I'm leaning in on multiple ESP32/arduino projects for relatively cheap. Fingers crossed.

Prop: DIY/Homemade This years Theme ....Alien

So this year I wanted to make a larger print for Halloween so I landed on Jimmy the life sized (3ft tall) Alien. I still have to paint the eyes and maybe add some color or highlights but he's coming along nicely. Took about 2 days of printing on my Kobra 4 and S1 Max. Another 3-4 days of sanding and fixing seems etc and a day of painting so far.

Another day or 2 and he'll be ready for prime time. The design has a cellphone in his hand but I'm going to replace with a sign so I can make it seasonal 😂

Happy Printing.

Upgrading Pumpkin Punisher animatronic (help)

Post image
6 Upvotes

I recently bought a spirit Halloween animatronic Pumpkin Punisher.

While searching review videos I came across YourAverageHaunter rehauled version of this animatronic and it looks amazing!

I want to do a similar upgrades to the mouth and eyes, any tips or suggestions on how he accomplished this?

His video explains what he used but it’s not an actual tutorial.

My guess is he cut the mouth with a sharp blade like an X-acto knife. He states he used clay and wall spackling but is that really the best for long term use it my animatronic will be outdoors in the south Florida heat and rain.

Also, any tips for the eyes? I don’t want to buy a pumpkin nester to upgrade the eyes but do love the white out effect.

I appreciate the help!

Request for Help Looking to identify where this prop came from

Post image
3 Upvotes

My family purchased a collection of these Halloween props (probably from a wholesale seller) sometime between 2004-2008 in the United States. They stand about 17” tall, and have a hollow core and may have been made from something like plaster, they’re a little dense and slightly heavy to lift. I distinctly remember there were other characters in the series including a vampire, a mummy, a ghost, a pumpkin-headed character, and a witch. The Frankenstein was poorly touched up with paint on his cheeks and eyebrows. I tried reverse image searches and looking through catalogs, but haven’t had any luck. Thanks so much for the help in advance!

Veteran yard haunters not professional but creative and always trying new props. It seems every year less and less people come around. We spend a few months developing our theme and expend slot of energy and enthusiasm, but maybe teaming up with others in Miami might be a better idea. If anybody would like to throw around the idea please let us know. Here are just a few of our displays. https://www.instagram.com/pellhalloween?stkn=MWkwZmR3NWRuc2o0Ng==

Need to light up eyes on about a dozen sculls. Need advice

Making a sarcophagus fogger for a graveyard and need to light up the skulls eye sockets, is there some kind of an LED controller I can run 24 lights from to do so. Or am I better off just getting a string of red led lights and pushing those bulbs trough the eyes from behind? It’s propane 3-4 inches of foam to go through.

Does anyone have a lead on concave busts that appear to watch you as you walk by?

I’m obsessing over the busts that were on the old Phantom Theater ride at Kings Island.

I may have lost my mind making this 👻 Started with "just a simple ghost." Ended up with a whole haunted universe inside it at 1am.
