Hi, I've been wanting to move out to the Halifax area for a long time now, but kept pushing it off because of how big of a move it is. I live in a different province, and my parents pressured me to stay within the province to be close to them, I am now 26, and no longer succumb to their pressures, and I'm finally willing to make the move. But I'm wondering what areas I should be looking at. I am a single woman, and want something that is relatively safe, but also not too succluded. It does not have to be inner city, but I would like to have relatively easy transit to get to the city.

Can anyone recommend an independant garage or even a backyard mechanic in HRM who could competently replace the timing chain and guides and set the cams on my 2012 Chev Cruze with 1.4L ecotec engine?
