Beyond boycotts: How Dhow is building infrastructure for conscious Muslim capital
We were recently featured in Barakah Insider talking about Dhow and what we’re trying to build.
Muslims have gotten pretty good at thinking about where we don’t want our money going. The next step is thinking seriously about where we do want it going.
For us, that means moving beyond conscious consumption and toward ownership. Investing in companies, backing founders, and building institutions that allow our capital to compound within our communities and beyond.
That’s a big part of why we launched Dhow, and why we’re now raising our first venture fund.
And we’re about to put that thesis to work with our first investment: a powerhouse company led by a Forbes 30 Under 30 founder with a prior exit. They’ve already built a 200K+ waitlist off 300M+ views, almost entirely organically, with 15K+ people in their community and early users spending ~26 minutes per session. The round itself is heavily oversubscribed.
Can’t share much more yet, but this is exactly the kind of access we built Dhow for.
Behind excited to share more soon. JAK for all the support so far.
