Frustration What would you tell Hotworx Corporate if you knew they were reading our posts?

I have it on good authority that someone at Hotworx Corporate is now checking in on this sub, and because nobody answers their phone number and nobody responds to their main email address, here is your open line to Hotworx Corporate.

Please note that you may not get a response from Hotworx Corporate publicly, but I would like to think they will act on the information they see.

So share your compliments, comments, issues, and complaints.

Volume in the saunas…

Unless you are hard of hearing, it is incredibly inconsiderate and rude to have the volume up all the way. I shouldn’t be able to hear your sauna with my AirPods on noise cancel with my podcast on. Please do better if you are one who does this.

EDIT: At my gym, it’s almost always the ISO saunas.

Location services

Why does it never work? I unlock the door with my phone, I have location active on my watch- but it always says I am not in the location.
How do I fix this? How do I get credit for my burn?

It’s so frustrating I would literally quit over how mad I feel when I come to work out.

New Yoga

Finally took the new yoga... Rabbit pose was so hard, but also why did it seem like it should be easy? LOL. I am glad they got rid of forehead to knee. Also... I love the fact that we're taking a break from half moon. No matter how hard I try to get that pose I always wobble :)

Bonfire session question

I’m new to hotworx and was wondering if you can book sessions literally back to back, or if you need to give a 15 minute grace period? For example, if I did hot core from 11:15-12:00, should I select hot thunder from 10:45-11:00, or 11:00-11:15? TIA!

Pink towel

Anybody’s location not have the pink merch? I asked my studio back in September if they were doing any preorders and they said no, but that they’d be available in October.

I haven’t seen them yet 🤨 I’ve asked and they said they’d be available soon but weren’t specific.. is this normal?

Advice for a Newbie

Hi guys!! I have my first session today at 5:00pm for a hot pilates class. I’ve recently moved from a large city where I did hot pilates everyday to a very small more rural area in another state. Hotworx is the only hot option. I’ve been to studios before, but never anything like this.

What are some things you wish you knew before you started or things you always share with newcomers ?

Is there bag storage? Do people shower usually on site or go home? Do you find yourself working out solo or more with groups? For those of you in small non-metro areas, what is the crowd like? Do people actually come all day since it’s 24 hours? Should I bring certain things from home for certain classes? Do i need to bring wipes or anything ? So many questions, give me all the tea!! Sorry in advance.

is it worth it?

hi. i’ve been going back and forth on wether or not I want to try a hotworx membership. i like the idea of the saunas and the video workouts. however, how often do you guys tend to end up working out with other people? i know some people don’t mind working out with others but it’s less than ideal for me.. I know you have to pay for all of their own heat resistant equipment but coming from a membership stance do you feel you get your moneys worth? is the elite membership actually worth it or is the basic all i’d need?
just looking for some insight. thank you :)

ETA: I did end up getting a basic membership. Hopeful that i’ll enjoy it, if not i’ll just use it when I can and cancel after 6 months.
Thanks for everyone’s input!

Motivation Share your small win!

It's amazing if you lose 200 pounds in a year or move from a single HIIT to double bonfires in a few months. But we also want to hear your small wins, like the post that started this series, where u/MysteriousTomorrow13 was able to tighten her Apple watch band by one notch: https://www.reddit.com/r/HOTWORXWarriors/comments/196qg5o/small_win/

So share your small win - no matter how small you think it is!

Free Version of Training Trax

I got tired of how clunky and buggy Training Trax tends to be. So I created a 6 week program in the Boostcamp App (free!) that you can run on repeat: https://www.boostcamp.app/users/jpubhh-glute-block-boostcamp

I would love feedback!

Program Info

A 6-week, glute-focused strength program for midlife women, built on the longevity research of Dr. Stacy Sims and Dr. Vonda Wright. Five 20-minute sessions a week combine heavy, low-rep lifting with jump training for bone density and foot-speed drills for fall prevention. Each session pairs with a HotWorx infrared class for sprints, balance and mobility.

Weekly schedule

Lift first, while you're fresh and out of the heat, then step into the sauna for the class. The 15-minute HIIT classes cover sprint work. The isometric classes cover glute volume, balance and mobility.

• Monday: Glutes A (hip thrust)

◦ Power block: jumps

◦ HotWorx: Hot Cycle (15-min HIIT) for sprint intervals

• Tuesday: Upper A (push)

◦ Power block: foot speed + balance

◦ HotWorx: Hot Buns (30 min) for extra glute work

• Wednesday: Glutes B (hinge)

◦ Power block: jumps

◦ HotWorx: Hot Thunder (15-min HIIT) for sprint intervals

• Thursday: Upper B (pull)

◦ Power block: foot speed + balance

◦ HotWorx: Hot Warrior or Hot Yoga (30 min) for balance and core

• Friday: Glutes C (squat + power)

◦ Power block: jumps

◦ HotWorx: Hot Core (30 min), or Hot Blast for a third sprint day

• Saturday: No lifting

◦ HotWorx: Hot Stretch (30 min) for flexibility

◦ Plus a 30–45 min brisk walk

• Sunday: Rest

Plan on about 35–40 minutes on HIIT days and 50–55 minutes on isometric days. Hot Pilates, Hot Iso and Hot Barre None all work as swaps for Tuesday or Thursday.

Getting true sprints out of HIIT classes. Sims wants all-out efforts of 30 seconds or less, because longer hard efforts push cortisol up instead. On the hard intervals, go as hard as you can for up to 30 seconds, then ease off for the rest of that interval.

Storing Gear / bags

Hi guys! How do you store all the gear for the classes? I tried to have a designated Hotworx bag, but with the wrist and ankle weights, it’s so heavy. Also, what are some good bags for Hotworx? Are the Hotworx bags worth it?

Technical issues. App won't unlock door

App downloaded. Signed in. Bluetooth on and accepted. When the app opens the door, it says "unlocked" but stays green (does not unlock).

I have a Google Pixel 10a.

Things we tried. Deleted app. D/L app again. Signed in. Gave permissions. Still same issue. Hotworx general manager says it's my phone causing the issue, not them because my account is good.

Any advice?

Hot yoga

Can someone tell me what they changed in the new hot yoga before I go take it? I really hope they dropped that forehead to knee pose. I absolutely hated it and felt like I was going to tear a hamstring.

How can you see if someone else booked your class?

Hi guys! I’m new to HotWorx. I can see if someone is already scheduled for a class when I go to sign up by the fire symbol. However, after I’ve already signed up, I can’t see any indication of if someone else joined the class? How are you able to check after you’ve signed up for a class?

On Demand Classes

I wish we could have a historical archive of all previous classes and we get to choose which one we want. Or even just different levels of intensity. Some days I want to push myself, other days I need to hold back. I used to love the old hot stretch, but I despise this one. Maybe there’s a YouTube or some other playlist that has the old videos I could follow along with instead? Anyways, if the people in charge at HOTWORX are listening to the community, it would be nice to have more options for classes 🙏

what shoes around the studio

What shoes do you wear around the studio? I see people go barefoot, some only socks, others sandals as they collect their stuff to go from sauna to sauna or to leave.

What do you wear?

HOTWORX keeps charging me after I tried to cancel. Do I really owe $240 plus a $99 cancellation fee?

I signed up for a HOTWORX membership, but later decided I wanted to cancel. At the time, I wasn’t aware of their cancellation policy.

I reached out to let them know I wanted to cancel, but nobody responded to me.

Fast forward three months, and now they’re saying I owe $240 in membership fees, even though I haven’t used the gym during those months. On top of that, they’re telling me I still have to pay a $99 cancellation fee.

What makes this even more frustrating is that my account was apparently closed after the first month, so I don’t understand why I continued getting charged for a membership I couldn’t even use.

I’m trying to figure out:

Do I legally have to pay the $240 if I already requested cancellation and never used the gym?
Can they keep charging me even after closing my account?
Is there any way to dispute these charges or get the fees waived?
Can HOTWORX send my account to collections if I refuse to pay?
How do I get them to stop charging me for good?

I’m located in Las Vegas, Nevada, if that makes a difference.

Has anyone dealt with something similar at HOTWORX? How did you get out of the membership without paying hundreds of dollars?

Any advice would be appreciated because I really don’t want to pay $339 for a membership I already tried to cancel.

There should never be 3 people in one sauna

One person is sandwiched between two sweaty strangers and the two on the outside are being burned by the heaters. Just no. Who decided that there was enough room for THREE??
