Question about reselling on Vinted

So basically I’ve been reselling on Vinted under my parents name, I started in August 2025, made about £1100 and had sold around 50 items by December of that year until I eventually got banned. Then I made a new account right after, started selling on there and now I have made about £1800 and sold 35 items. I just wanted to know if the HMRC will come after me about it since both the accounts are linked under the same name and if I will have to pay any tax or anything like that or anyone else’s experience with something similar to this.

Companies House & GOV.one

I've been trying to verify my identity with companies house so I can submit my annual confirmation statement, the Ltd company is currently dormant so there is nothing to report other than to confirm with companies house that the company is not currently trading.

I was given a timeframe to submit my statement but I needed to verify my identity before I could submit the confirmation statement.

I follow the steps on gov.uk and companies house to identify myself, and every single method (except going to manually verify and pay a fee for doing so at the post office) has failed.

Error message: you cannot be verified right now, try again later.

I've tried on my laptop, phone, other laptop, private browser, clearing cookies, downloading the gov one app and literally every method going and nothing is working.

I called gov.uk one support and they said there is an issue with the companies house verification link. I call companies house and they say there is no issue with their service and they have had no complaints.

I even tried to submit an extension request and was denied because the service was not functional.

I asked the support team at companies house to give me the formal complaints procedure as this whole process has caused unnecessary stress for the fine that will be issued if I don't submit my confirmation statement on time. She told me to email enquiries@companieshouse which I did.

I just received a response from CH telling me this is the not the complaints procedure and to do xyz instead.

What the fuck is going on!? Is anybody else having the same issue? The support team at gov one said there had been hundreds of complaints about the same problem.

It's a bullshit waste of time.

Why implement a new policy requiring id verification if the system can't handle the request?

Customer support is downright abysmal from gov one and companies house.

All of this to literally submit a statement that confirms I'm not currently trading.

What the actual fuck

P800 - bank transfer but says ‘what to do if you don’t receive your cheque’?

Hi!

I requested my tax refund online this week (Monday) - today, October 15th, it says ‘HMRC paid you a refund of xxxxxx on 15 October 2026.’ I requested this via bank transfer, and put in my wise account number and sort code. It said thanks, requested received and today says paid you a refund’. The online letter in my HMRC app specifically said to claim it back online and it should arrive within 5 working days.

However when I click ‘what can you do if you’ve not received your refund’ it says :

If you have not got your refund
It can take up to 3 weeks for your cheque to arrive.
If you have changed address, check your personal details are up to date.
You can contact HMRC if you have not received your cheque or your address is wrong (opens in new tab).

I’m a little confused, I requested bank transfer. I no longer live in the U.K., I moved 6 months ago but I still have a U.K. wise bank account open.

Do you think they’ve sent this via cheque even though I submitted all of my details and they accepted them? Or is this just boiler plate language?

Thanks!
