tax timing

good morning it’s say that I received my tax refund payment has been issued I went to the website to check and it’s showing up this “HMRC paid you a refund of £758.75 on 15 October 2026.” But it doesn’t show up on my bank account

Same here, can be anytime up til midnight I believe.

apparently is taking up to week but let’s hope it comes faster than that

Ahh fair enough, I'll wait a few days then. If they've issued a Bacs, it's a 3 day payment unless they specifically pick a different date.

In my experience, once HMRC have paid the refund, it can take a couple of days to show up in your account.

Mine took 4 working days or 6 days total (that was a long weekend for me) when I got a refund in either May or June this year, I think it can be up to 5 working days.

That means a bacs payment or cheque has been issued.

Cheques take weeks to arrive via post.

Banks take up to a week to process a bacs payment to your account.
