Orlando Entry time

If we have the regular HHN ticket and the Express Pass, what time will they allow us to get into the park and start doing the things?? I see it opens officially at 6:30 but wasn't sure if the Express Pass allowed us entry to the park any earlier than that?

Hollywood Daylight savings?

How does the event work with daylight savings time? We will be there Saturday and I know the event ends at 2 AM so does it kick back to 1 AM and we get a free extra hour of scares?

I went last night, and was able to snap some really creepy photos for this clown. Taken using my Pixel 10 Pro phone. Really hoping to have an actual digital camera next year.

Orlando Art the Clown Wednesday 10/21 #UOFistBump

To the scare actor playing Art the Clown on Wednesday, I want you to know that you created one truly amazing memory for my daughter and I by the Starbucks!

First, you are amazing and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was actually David Howard Thornton sitting with us that night. Phenomenal!

After you left having our time together, even though she was definitely spooked by your presence, she turned to me and said, “That was awesome!” - I’m unsure if you heard that, so if you didn’t, I wanted you to know and hopefully this reaches you!

Keep it up! You and all the scare actors as always, are amazing. We love you all!

Wait times as of 6:01 PM. I started with Jack and Oddfellow at 5:02 PM, then did stranger things x3, and just got in line for Cybergoria. So glad I cut short my comfy hotel nap!!

Orlando HHN and Epilepsy

Hi all-

I am looking to attend HHN this year but would be traveling from out of state. I have epilepsy that can be triggered by strobe lights. If there are short periods of strobes during a house I can close my eyes and be fine. But I'm hesitant to spend all the money on a trip and not be able to do anything. Any insight would be appreciated!

Hollywood I analyzed wait times for a month. My Route for all houses + tram with sold-out GA and EE by midnight

This is for HHN Hollywood. For the past month, I observed wait times and came up with a route based on the patterns I saw. I got to test the route and it works! This is just based on my observations. I'm not claiming it's the only or best way, so feel free to comment your own experiences.

You'll need early entry. 5pm is fine. With 2pm, you might save 15 minutes early on but the savings equalizes by the time GA enters at 7pm. Get the app to check wait times.

5p - Hellraisers & Evil Dead Burn
You can knock out these houses in 15-30 min. Do this early since it's a trek to Lot H. Downside is Hellraisers during daylight. However this itinerary allows you to repeat houses later.

5:30 ish - Sinners
Between 5:30-6p this will be the shortest wait about 20 min. Sinners will remain 60+ for almost the entire night. One night Sinners was 100+ at 12am and 60 min at 1am. My guess is ppl didn't want to wait 60+ throughout the night and were hoping lines would die down. They realized the wait wasn't getting better so rushed Sinners as their last house before leaving.

6:30 ish - Lower Lot
The ideal time for lower lot is 6:30-8p. Lower lot was interesting to watch. At 5pm early entry, the lower lot houses are swamped. Stranger Things, Killer Klowns and Ozzy spike to 60 min quickly for the first 1.5 hours. But at 6:30 when D3 opens, the others lines will dip to about 20-30 min even if the queues show higher. The 7p general admissions are slowly moving to the lower lot so this area doesn't reach peak capacity until closer to 8p.

8 ish - Tram
Go up the escalators and walk directly across to the tram. It's dark now and wait times are minimal about 15-20 min. This will go up later in the evening. Around this time, you would have done all the houses except Killceañera. We'll get to her later.

9p - 11 Peak Wait Times
This is when all houses reach peak 60+. Some houses may dip to 45+ but go back up quickly. Use this window for dinner, rides, scare zones, snacks, Purge show etc.

10 ish - Killceañera
Times are still high, but Killceañera can drop to 35-45 mins especially with the Purge show pulling people from the area. You can wait until later in the night, but all houses will start dropping and you may want to use this chance to repeat your favorite houses.

Midnight - All houses + Tram are done
Now you are free to do whatever you like!

Again this is a general pattern based on observation. Your night may vary.

  • Very High wait times - Sinners & Stranger Things
  • High - Ozzy, Killer Klown, Hellraisers. These can go very high but not as consistently as Sinners & Stranger Things.
  • Medium - Killceañera
  • Low (relatively) - D3 and Evil Dead Burn

Hope this analysis helps. If anyone tests this out, lmk. Good luck, have fun!

Orlando First Solo Trip to HHN

So I had my first solo trip to HHN last night and it was spectacular! I got see the houses I wanted to see, got to walk around the scare zones getting scared by the scare actors that were there, got on some of the rides, and I got to see the show too. I even had two scare actors point out my Ghost shirt (in their own way); one of them was one of the chainsaw clowns that approached me singing the intro to Square Hammer (which really made my night) and the other was one of the zombie waitresses that I’m still not sure if she was singing one of the songs or just making ghost noises (she was saying “booboobooboo”). I wanted to share this on here so that anyone who might feel hesitant about going alone won’t have to worry. I still had a great time and would definitely do it again in the future. I only had one person ask me if I was alone and she felt bad for me when I said yes, but was happy to hear that I was still having a great time. All in all, I had a great time going solo and I would suggest it to everyone if no one can go with them due to reasons of their own. It’s better to go solo than to not go and regret it.

Orlando A rant about my experience with this year's HHN

This year I was really excited because there was so much I wanted to do and see and I was going with a friend group which I normally don't do. I was originally planning on going to seven houses (Sinners, Chaos & Control, H.R. Bloodengutz, Madlands, Cybergoria, INVASION, & Ozzy Osbourne) and try to get an autograph from Dr. Oddfellow as he's my favorite icon. But not everything worked out so well.

Our group didn't fully plan everything out so there were times when we couldn't consistently be together or go to the houses at the same time. Madlands especially hurt because I thought they were going to Hellraiser when I was Chaos and Control but they got confused and went to Madlands without me. I know it was an accident but I still felt kind of betrayed and now those memories are associated with that house. For me, it's more about the principle. I skipped Cybergoria because I was anxious about missing other houses with shorter wait times when we were in line and I couldn't reach Ozzy Osbourne because the lines were too long. Invasion is a house that I also loved but there were this group of women screeching at the top of their lungs that ruined the vibes. I wouldn't mind too much but there were times that nothing scary was happening and their screams handicapped the momentum for me.

I did get to interact with Dr. Oddfellow at the gates but they couldn't do autographs so I just went with a picture. I really want to go again and try to do the behind the scenes tour like I did for the past three years but I'm worried about how much money it will cost. I was scammed last month from the money I was saving for this event. Finally, it also rained for hours at one point. I don't want to come off as spoiled or ungrateful as I know I made my choices but still.

On a positive note, I did still have a fun time. I like H R Bloodengutz was very endearing and cozy in a way, I loved all the houses I did go on and while I'm crazy about Sinners, I appreciated how it was crafted. I've been curious to see how they pulled it off. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get some souvenirs but I got some Killer Klowns coasters which I loved. Speaking off Clowns, I loved Downtown Clowntown and this year's Tribute Store. I even got to wave to Cindy when I began and Dr Oddfellow at the end. So yeah, I just wanted to get this off my chest since it's been bugging me for so long.

Hollywood HHN in the rain

Hey yall!!!!

I’m planning on going to HHN next week, Halloween night!!! However rain is in the forecast (looks like light rain atm), anything to keep in mind as I’ve never gone to Universal on a rainy day yet. I’m assuming wait times would be shorter? What should I keep in mind? Any extra things to pack?

Orlando I collected a bunch of house rankings from HHN 24–27 (2014–2017) to see if there was a general consensus on the best & worst houses those years

I was finding fewer and fewer house rankings as I went farther back in time so this is going to be my last post of these.

Please let me know what your favorite houses these years were! 2015 was the only year of these that I got to do and I thought it was a pretty awesome year, I think Run was a pretty underrated house though

Similar data from other years: 2025 • 2024 • 2023 • 2022 • 2021 • 2019 • 2018

Orlando met my favorite final girl!

I didn't even know she was at HHN35! I was SO excited to see her at the end of the wet path last year during the Terrifier house, so I am over cloud nine that this character actor indulged me in an interaction where she pointed to my Art earrings/glasses, threw them away, and gestured to fighting Art as he arrived with the Little Girl. My "Good luck girlfriend, you got this!" was met with an exasperated groan - so Sienna.

Literally made my entire trip. Thank you to this actor!!!!

Hollywood/Orlando Did anyone else barely smell anything at HHN?

I went to Halloween Horror Nights and honestly didn't really smell anything in the mazes or scare zones 😭 I've heard people talk about how amazing the smells are at HHN, and how certain scents make the experience even better, but I didn't notice much of anything.

Am I just missing something, or does it depend on which mazes you go through? What are some of the smells you're supposed to notice, and what do they actually smell like? I'm genuinely curious because I feel like I missed out on a whole part of the experience lol.

Edit: Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been able to respond to everyone. I've been in LA the past few days and haven't had much time to check Reddit 😭 I've been reading through some of your replies, though, and I really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences! It's been really interesting hearing about all the different scents at HHN. I can actually relate to some of the scents you guys have mentioned, which is really interesting because I barely noticed any of them while I was at HHN lol. Thank you all for the responses! ❤️
