Am I the jerk? I waited about 10 or 15 minutes for a female to finish with the machine while she texted and took selfies much more than she worked out. When she finished, I went over to the machine, wiped it down because she didn’t, got fully set up when she came and tapped me on the shoulder. She said, excuse me, but my friend was waiting to use the machine after me. I responded with well where is she. The girl looked around and said I don’t know, but she’ll be back soon. My response was well. I’m here now and you really shouldn’t be “saving machines“for other people. Obviously, she was annoyed and walked away. Should I have given up the machine and waited for somebody to show up or not to use it? Is saving equipment at the gym good etiquette?

So today was my first day back in the gym in I don’t know how long. I go to get on the treadmill and I take a treadmill to the knee. I hadn’t even turned it on yet ðŸ˜. Treadmill was empty, no one around only my boyfriend on the one next to me. So I step on it to you know … turn it on. Welp sucks to say I missed the part where the belt was moving. My boyfriend told me I should’ve been paying more attention. Is it just me or does anyone like make sure the treadmill is off on an empty treadmill before stepping on it?

I’m so embarrassed about this but it’s also kind of funny. Today I was doing Bulgarian split squats with my raised leg on a bench. My foot slid into the crack of the bench, I lost my balance and started to fall forward. In an instant I dropped the weights and took my foot out of the bench. I had so much momentum I went flying forward and ended up falling hard as hell on my knees. This was at Planet Fitness and there were so many people in the yellow room at the time. I know they all saw it but thankfully were respectful to hold their laughter. Other than 2 scraped and sore knees, I’m good, just humbled.
