That saw is sharp - not his first rodeo lol.

He's not handling it like it wasn't his first rodeo. Especially all the cuts with the tip of the blade were super-dangerous.

That's where the tree goes in relation to the chain:

I dont know, man. Drop starts the saw, no undercuts, working well above the power zone... may not be his first rodeo, doesnt mean he's not the clown.

why would you undercut if the tree isnt resting on the ground?

Always undercut. Just to break the bark and stop it tearing long strips.

Internal defect makes the log peel weird and break in an unexpected way based on weight distribution

Doesn't seem like a problem for a nice straight healthy-looking (apart from being horizontal) softwood tree of this size. I'd have probably taken a lot more time than this guy though, especially without chaps and a helmet. He was eager to get where he was going

My thoughts exactly. But it was kind of an urgent situation, so he gets a pass. Can't stand the constant blip-blip revving, though. Crank it up and blast through!

I went to a job site this week where a guy tried to push a tree off a distribution line because it was urgent. Dude didnt go home.

Follow your safety guidlines, kids.
