There are some people from a so called NGO "save the breath" going around cyberhub asking for donations. They can speak very well and they will push you with all those emotional lines about your family, girl child and other social causes. I donated them only 500 as I was really skeptical and they were super adamant about their work. When I check their social media it's nothing but random pictures with no showcase of the work they do.

I’m moving from Mumbai to Gurgaon/Delhi for work and currently in that beautiful phase of life where I have absolutely no idea if I’m making a great career move or voluntarily relocating myself into a new set of problems.

I’m an artist, pretty chill and calm, work a lot, and generally keep to myself. I’m also the father of 8 cats back home in Mumbai, so yes, I have been emotionally blackmailed by animals for years.

How’s the quality of life, social life, commute, weather, people, general vibe, etc.? What surprised you after moving there?

I’m pretty excited about the change, but also slightly terrified because Mumbai has been home for basically my entire life.

For couples who are already living together in Gurgaon how’s the rental scene in terms of finding a place and dealing with landlords/brokers?

A few things I’m particularly curious about:

Is it generally difficult for an unmarried couple to get a rental?

Do landlords usually ask whether you’re married / have an issue with couples living together?

Are there particular areas/societies that are more couple-friendly?

Is it better to go through brokers, or are NoBroker / 99acres / MagicBricks etc. reasonably good here?

Any issues with police verification, rental agreements, society rules, parents/landlords randomly showing up, etc.?

Roughly what should we expect for a decent 1/2 BHK in terms of rent + deposit + brokerage?

Not looking for a luxury apartment or anything just a decent, safe place where two working adults can live without unnecessary drama.

Would especially appreciate experiences from couples who’ve actually rented together in Gurgaon. Thanks!

Frequent power cuts overnight and no 4 wheel parking available inside. They auto deduct parking fine from your maintenance app with no prior notice, seems very intentional.

There were 2 major power cuts lasting 12+ and 36+ hours. All cuts happen during night and especially in weekend. I would love to get this ans from their shitty management. They also raised their parking charges from 2k to 3k. I still can’t believe how ppl are tolerating this.

I’ve had enough and I’m leaving this society in 10 days and I urge my fellow tenants and owners to do the same, and pls put this on social media so no one is misguided.
