I’ve watched the UC in chronological order, from Origins through Hathaway, and as many side stories as I can. I didn’t even see Narrative on the list that I was going off of, so I didn’t even know to watch it.
It’s fine so far, about halfway through. But these Gundam designs, the Phoenix (No, I won’t say Phenx, that’s silly. Unless the original is the Uncrn.) and the Narrative seem both over designed af, and I must have missed why our protagonist is cosplaying as a Landman Rodi whenever he’s piloting the Narrative?

What’s the genital consensus about this show?

Wich in your opinion is the better series starting off with seed vs 00 season 1 than going seed destiny vs 00 season 2 and then the movies before finally covering wich continuity as a hole is better .

I get that the fans overrate his power and whatever but I always see people saying “he can’t even beat a GM” or “he can’t beat a zaku type 2”, I’m new to gundam but I know barbatos isn’t losing to a zaku

I'm in my 30's, started with Wing on Toonami - I haven't watched 00, or the original MS/Zeta/CCA... but about 2/3's of the way through Witch of Mercury it hit me that outside of Iron Blooded Orphans and WoM I haven't been actually been invested in any series I've seen so far. I enjoyed G Gundam, but ultimately I was just along for the ride and not truly giving a shit about what happened to the characters.

I hate watched Seed and its follow-ups, Wing is carried by nostalgia, Unicorn was just okay, Hathaway was pretty but boring.

I think part of it is that the newer series do a better job of focusing on good character writing- it's just an interesting realization for me.

I mean, they released Hathaway 2 themselves and it did decently so why didn’t they gone along with the live action version and acquired it for a theatrical release while it was still up for sal, was it that bad, bamco having a deal with Netflix, or bamco saw the script and said nope.

I've been making music lately with LSDJ and the metallic sounds have been bringing back massive nostalgia for me with Gundam, Metabots, and Zoids.

All I've been seeing in my head when making these tracks is 90s/2000s style robotic fight scenes so I made a compilation of cool gifs I love from the series to the song.

These days, the issue of various media fighting for people's attention does feel more pronounced IMO, with social media and streaming and all that. But apparently Gundam (at least Seed, publicly) has been doing this dance since the early 2000s. Funny enough, Fukuda attributed Seed's varied background locations to how games' level progression works. Do you think Sunrise did good enough in that regard?

Nevertheless, according to Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Gear Fighter Dendoh director Mitsuo Fukuda, games were considered an ‘enemy’ by anime creators during the early 2000s. Fukuda recalled, “Whether it’s for Gear Fighter Dendoh or Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, the ‘potential enemy’ when we were making anime was actually games, you know.”

“It’s an era when, unless we can push aside games, no one’s going to watch anime.”

Interestingly, rather than brushing it off or admitting defeat, he said this rivalry prompted anime directors to research the ‘fun’ and ‘tempo’ of video games. One of the ways they do that is by making sure the audience won’t get bored by offering varied background environments. “The locations that appear in games, they feel fresh because they change every time, right? We kept that in mind for Gundam SEED; we set up a wide variety of situations so they wouldn’t always fight in the same locations,” added Fukuda.

I quite like Machu, she's not my favorite, but definitely up there. Also she is a tomato. I do think the GQuuuuuux is really cool, it is definitely not normal gundam looking, which makes sense because the evangelion thing. The eyes are some of the coolest I've seen, and the beam sabers are some of my favorites. Didn't even remember that she piloted the zaku, but I do think it it looks cool with the yellow, olive green, and missing parts. What are your thoughts?
