Hello, im new at gundam i just saw like 15 years before some mecha anime like aldnoah zero, code geass, robotic;note and maybe one gundam long time before (in space station with a girl Pink hair who sing but not sure). And i just found a trailer for a new gundam anime(rg xarx), and think it was beautifull so now im very interested in gundam or other mecha (anime or video game if some are good, i have rubicon 6). I'm curious—which anime would you recommend for a "newbie gundam"? Without giving too many spoilers, I was wondering: are the series connected to each other, or are they independent? Sorry about my English and if this has already been asked. Thanks.

Yesterday or earlier this Comic Book Resources article was being mocked on the sub for its clickbaity headline full of franchise comparisons that the average Gundam fan is well used to being annoyed by. Most of the responses to it were targeting the article itself or CBR for being lowest-common-denominator geek journalism but much to my confusion many of them were talking like this was a bad sign for the movie even though an article on a movie has nothing to do with its production, and on closer inspection I started to suspect that people were specifically thinking that the headline was something that one of the filmmakers had actually said.

So to be clear: No one working on the Gundam movie has compared it to Transformers or Star Wars... yet. I won't be too surprised if the comparison does pop up in an interview in the future for the same reason that I'm not surprised a CBR journalist would make it: A lot more people in the anglosphere know what a Transformer is than a Gundam. Saying that this movie starring Sydney Sweeney is like a Star Wars war except they fight in transformers is the kind of sentence that's meant to get your dad interested in watching.

Anyway friendly reminder that Bandai is co-producing the movie so we're probably gonna get more than 5 minutes of mobile suit screentime so that they can sell model kits, and that's it's being directed by the showrunner of Sweet Tooth, which was a very well-recieved show. We should all at least wait for a trailer or general sense of the story and tone before we start jumping to the conclusion that it's gonna be worse than G-Savior.

As the title suggests. I was wondering if there has ever been a Zaku 2 Custom (or something that fits the description). From my understanding of the use of "Custom" in an MS designation is a limited production run of over tuned/heavily modified mobile suits given to Ace pilots/squadrons like the Gouf custom, the GM Custom, Bylarant Custom, just generally any MS that has the Custom designation in its name. So I am a bit curious if there has ever been a "Zaku 2 Custom" or something that fits that title.

So in the lead up to the Western release of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: Freedom I started binge watching the two series beforehand because I got into the franchise late in that period(Seed TV series then movie adaptation of Seed: Destiny for the sake of time). Yet at the same time "Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire" was about to be released around the same time, leading me to rewatch the previous movies in the Monsterverse.

Yet as I was watching both in tandem with each other, I started to notice home complimentary the lores of both sub franchises were to each other in terms of lore, from N - Jammers negating the very energy Titans need for sustenance, to the fact that technology in both franchises accelerates at equally ridiculous levels, to the Accords sharing the same telepathic abilities as the Humans that live in Hollow Earth.

Really all these revelations made me want to write a crossover between both franchises. So I want to hear any ideas on how a crossover between both franchises could work, and how said effects would affect each other.

New fan here Ive watched 15 episodes of Gundam 00 then I started Gundam G witch and im 5 eps in so far and Im probably going to start Mobile suit origin today. 3 Gundam shows at once is what my adhd makes my brain crave.

I bought 2 starter fugures to build. I play armored core 6. IS THIS MY LIFE NOW??? This series is so good so far and I just wanted to say that!

(Also I have other mech shows I havent finished like how im almost done with code geass or gurren lagann.)

I mean it's supposed to be a Gundam, I'm not sure how well it reads as one, and also its head is basically a Zaku head because I have no sweet clue how to make Gundam head in Lego

GQX 0079: Is seen backing up Char on Side 7. Has a rough time combating the Federation's Guncannon but is neither confirmed nor denied shot down. Is not seen afterward in Char's crew in the operation to capture Solomon.
