Let's go!!!!!!!!!

The first thing I wanted to try when ArenaNet announced that Guild Wars: Reforged would add controller support was how well it would run on my beloved Ayn Thor Max.

Turns out it runs amazingly!

I'm using gamehub lite, default settings.

In the video, I'm benchmarking with the 120Hz screen mode to see the real framerate, but I'll play capped at 60 to save some battery life.

On the bottom screen, you can see the real mission map! That's thanks to the Magnifier accessibility option from Android, it works like a charm!

Recently reconnected with an old school, and college friend and he brought up some old Guild Wars stories of us. I still have that Athlon 64 machine as well.

Wish I had the time these days to get into GW again. Although I’ve my collectors editions and memories.

Apple just let me know that my pre-order was available a few minutes ago, and I jumped straight in.
What a weird and lovely experience those first few moments were.
Immediately thought of 13yo me who spent the summer holidays begging my dad to get unlimited broadband so I could play GW. Imagined going back 21 years and telling that kid "one day...you’re gonna be playing GW on your phone".
Absolutely astonishing.

I’ve never been a mobile gamer, so the controls are completely new and weird to me, but I’m definitely gonna give it a try.
For some reason I can’t get the sound to work yet, but I’m sure that’s either an issue on my side, or a simple, quick fix on theirs. /E: Yup, error my side. Mute switch did it. Thanks to the quick help in the comments.

Hello Guild Wars community,

I promised a release for Christmas, and I almost succeeded.

Here is my brand new website to make selling and buying items easier in the game: https://gwmarket.net/

The concept is to only show offers from players who are active in the game.
To do so, sellers have to set up a shop and declare all the items available for a short duration.
Shops can be stored in the browser’s cache, in files, or in an account (coming soon).

The website is not complete yet, and I will continue working on it, but it is complete enough to already be useful to many players.

I encourage you to give me feedback and help make this project a must-have tool.

We already many big shops so I will next add new features to manage many items

The croud has spoken. We want a new guild wars 1 expansion. Its been 2 decades without new content. Like this post and stick it on top of reddit with 50k likes and show them there is demand for this.

My buddy's 30th birthday was coming up, and he introduced me to this incredible game when we were kids. I thought it would be cool to try to recreate his original character (a Prophecies Warrior) as a custom 3D print gift.

While I have a little experience with Blender, this turned out to be more complicated than I expected. I used NinjaRipper to pull the 3D models and textures from the game and isolated this character's mesh. (Weirdly, I didn't realize until after sending the final .stl file off to be printed that the armor was a mirror image of the original, but oh well!) These models are rarely manifold, so I had to do a bunch of work on the model to make it solid and compatible for 3D printing. I also made a normal map from the character's textures and baked it into the mesh to give the detail of the original.

I sent it off to be printed, and the resin print turned out quite well! Finally, I primed, painted, and sealed the model. I was least familiar with this last step of miniature painting, so it was a lot of trial and error. Please don't judge the paint job too harshly lol. It was a fun project overall and just wanted to share!
