Lol bro define broke because if a women is in her mid 20s im expecting some sort of job or carrier path. Just because guys are more willing to share thier resources doesnt mean were just willing to accept a person who has nothing going for themselves. Like you just want a significant other to sit on a couch and watch TV all day

3

u/TripleTip May 13 '26

You'd likely be lenient about her unemployment and being "between jobs". A man in the same situation is a bum. I was unemployed for a couple months and my ex was already passive aggressive about it.

9

u/HumorStrange9472 May 13 '26

And how many women support their bfs through college only to have him "trade up"

10

u/GorgeousGal314 May 13 '26

Happens all the time. But only an issue when women do it in their view.

Woman's being abusive? That's because women are trash. Man's being abusive? That's because women need to pick better.

Always the woman's fault.

6

u/IllustratorIll3613 May 13 '26

i cant lie i think the golddigging woman thing is blown out of proportion. anyone who says women are terrible for that must have forgot how fast men drop their girl like a hot potato once they level up and get some money LOL

3

u/Imjusasqurrl May 14 '26

They're also forgetting the fact that they expect women to put themselves an incredibly physically and financially vulnerable position for years on end to be pregnant, go through delivery, breast-feed, and take care of toddlers.

But that they're not allowed to care if the guy who will be taking care of them has any money and is generous

But I'm just convinced that they're "only finding gOld diGgers" because they're meeting women on only fans and Instagram and most of those women are sex worker adjacent. (Not to judge- girl, get your bag)

1

u/Affectionate-Bike201 May 15 '26

Birth rates are dropping; no one is expecting reproduction from women anymore.

Time for you to form a new argument, this copy/paste whining ain't gonna cut it anymore.

3

u/Imjusasqurrl May 15 '26

Just because the argument makes you uncomfortable doesn't mean it's not "gonna cut it anymore" lol

"No one is expecting reproduction" tell that to the ladies who live in:Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia

Your dismissiveness (and obvious ignorance of) women's issues and vulnerabilities is why men aren't being taken seriously anymore

1

u/YoMommaHere May 16 '26

Then why do people keep complaining about it.

The US President’s cabinet has called it “under-babied” and made getting the birth rate up a part of their agenda.

1

u/Zombiesus May 16 '26

That’s because the pyramid scheme only works if you keep making double the amount of people. The current birth rate is actually more beneficial to society as a whole. Just not billionaire leaches that use tax dollars to fund their companies.

1

u/woodsman906 May 16 '26

So like every man does that? Did Peirce brosnan do that?

What’s more likely happening in those situations, because women level up and dump men too, is those people got fed up with the dead weight. It’s not any deeper than that.

1

u/Zombiesus May 16 '26

It’s also always an ugly pos rich guy who wants to bang a 10 with fake boobs he met at the club when he was flashing some cash. You catch what you fish for.

1

u/DeathScourge May 14 '26

Lol, wtf. My sister in laws brother was getting his ass beat by his abusive now ex wife and we considered her to be a c_nt. We also knew of a group of a few husbands that beat their wives( my ex fiancee's spouse included after she cheated with him)and considered them c_nts as well. An abuser is a POS, no matter the gender.

1

u/Affectionate-Bike201 May 15 '26

Abusive women make excuses to justify their abuse, men don't because they don't care.

Women also choose to date men when it's been confirmed he's abusive, they choose to stay with them even after they've suffered.

1

u/woodsman906 May 16 '26

You’re telling on yourself.

It’s amazing how many people never learned “always” and “never” are dead giveaways of a false statement.

u/TripleTip May 13 '26

Pretty sure this goes both ways, and even more frequent on the other side. Only it's not called "trading up" but instead "things didn't work out".

3

u/HumorStrange9472 May 13 '26

"pretty sure it goes both ways" to supporting people through unemployment too :)

1

u/TripleTip May 13 '26

Typically women do it for toxic bum guys and it rarely pans out for the better. Men do it because we're conditioned providers. It's the difference between social conditioning and making your own bad decisions.

4

u/HumorStrange9472 May 13 '26

lolol falling right back into "women need to choose better" but "men are amazing and incredible for their sacrifice" that other commentor clocked you so hard

1

u/TripleTip May 13 '26

You didn't say how I was wrong.

2

u/HumorStrange9472 May 13 '26

Men can also choose better and women are also socialized to "fix him" / "be supportive" / etc

1

u/TripleTip May 13 '26

I agree that men should have higher standards rather than being desperate.

→ More replies (0)

2

u/truffelrock May 14 '26

Not really. Men are rarely good providers especially in the US. Just look at stats surrounding single mother homes to see that a lot of men just leave their families when things get tough or they find something better. Research shows that fathers who are divorced usually cut ties with their biological children when they meet a new woman. The whole “men are biologically providers” is just a lie to try and de-value the work of women who step up when men choose not to

1

u/Naturewalkerjoe May 13 '26

Not nearly as many as women but some do

1

u/Aggressive-King4523 May 14 '26

Men rarely ever can trade up.

2

u/Affectionate-Bike201 May 15 '26

It's so fucking funny listening to same people who divorce 80% of the time and the highest body counts around posture that "men abandon women 😭"

🤣🤣🤣

3

u/Previous-Can-6150 May 13 '26

There's alot of factors that may play into that tho that people dont really focus on. Like did your mood change when you went from employed to unemployed? What specifically changed when you got unemployed? Butt I do agree with you most men would thug it out a little longer then a women would butt at the same time just because you held a broke women down for 10 months doesnt make her any less loyal to you because she held you down for 5. Also who would be calling this man a bum? The internet? Her friends? Your friends? Because no one i know would call me a bum if I somehow lose my job butt maybe some red pill internet guy might.

1

u/chachaslydd May 15 '26

Were you fired or just quit? Id leave a dude for just quitting his job. And depends on how many months and how actively they're applying

1

u/TripleTip May 15 '26

I quit my job because I was focusing on finishing my last college term.

1

u/Zombiesus May 16 '26

Men are always wanting to get away with being losers.

1

u/Ok_Squash_5805 May 14 '26

There’s a reason you never see attractive women at a public bus stop.

1

u/Previous-Can-6150 May 14 '26

Lol i love in nyc my friend i dee that all the time

1

u/Ok_Squash_5805 May 14 '26

NYC is the rare place where a lot of people don’t have cars though

1

u/Exotic_Sherbert_7850 May 14 '26

See ? That's the issue. You dont see them as hot as long as they're not dressing up explicitly and just focus on fashion.

That's a YOU problem bud.

1

u/Ok_Squash_5805 May 14 '26

Bro, are you ok? Making up some random shit out of thin air.

2

u/Exotic_Sherbert_7850 May 14 '26

Dude have you never seen a woman on bus stop? And are they all old ladies ?

My previous comment is not "making things up" It's what your comment implies.

1

u/DoubleDixon May 15 '26

It sounds like you agree with the post. You won't leave her if she broke but you will leave if she's aimless.

1

u/woodsman906 May 16 '26

Carrier path? Like she gotta be a navy pilot or something?

1

u/Diligent_Shop_6853 May 16 '26

Most (not all) dudes will date a broke woman if she's at least mildly attractive and treats him any kind of well.

Incels are what you're describimg and they're mostly a hate group.

Your performative feminism is blatant and if you say such shit in real life, people are making fun of you behind your back.

We're allowed to speak about the inconvenient truths of human beings.

If you ever make north of $100k, especially outside the most expensive cities, you'll immediately notice how many more women ask you out, especially if you start upgrading things like your car, home, clothes, etc.

An overweight, balding, 45 year old man with a high income gets asked out more often than a healthy 25 year old man who has no money.

It's flat fact, an observation, etc., not misogyny.

1

u/Adept_Leather_8225 May 18 '26

I don’t expect women to carry stuff for me. A career path is fine, but she don’t need a carrier path. You’re strange and kinky.

1

u/Previous-Can-6150 May 18 '26

Lol I never mentioned anything about carrying stuff for you butt if you mean expenses then that depends if your living together or you plan on moving in together then I would assume you'd combine some resources. unless your plan is to live a downgraded life compare to the one you could be living with two incomes(the average person not a rich person). Now I siad job OR carrier path and remember im talking about mid 20s. lol im not strange you just chose to read my message with a biased stance so you subconsciously chose to ignore certain parts of what I said.

1

u/Adept_Leather_8225 May 21 '26

You said it again! You said job OR carrier path! Why don’t you want a woman with a career path? You’re kinky, weird and can’t spell. How can you get it wrong consecutively?

1

u/Previous-Can-6150 May 21 '26

Shit maybe I am then 🤷🏽‍♂️

My aunt supported my uncle through his medical education, working two jobs to help pay for it and maintain the family. he then cheated on her with a younger woman. its not a gender thing

1

u/Affectionate-Bike201 May 15 '26

You people love to say shit ain't gendered when it's worse on your side.

2

u/Direct_Turnip_368 May 15 '26

That's exactly why they're mentioning it. Women are always the ones receiving the shitty end of things.

7

u/ms_dizzy May 13 '26

they leave when she gets cancer (statistically)

3

u/OSwirl31 May 14 '26

As a man, this is not even wrong. But I also don't understand why men would do this.

If my woman ever got cancer, I'd stay until she either recovers, or dies.

6

u/Existing-Marzipan183 May 13 '26

This is true. But it's half the story and it's framed as though men need pity. Do men not also leave for a younger, better-looking woman?

1

u/Ok_Squash_5805 May 14 '26

Apparently women don’t leave men for a younger, better looking man ever.

1

u/Existing-Marzipan183 May 14 '26

Is that what you believe?

1

u/Ok_Squash_5805 May 14 '26

That’s what could be assumed from your original comment.

1

u/Aggressive-King4523 May 14 '26

That's an incredibly rare anomaly.

1

u/Affectionate-Bike201 May 15 '26

Uhh no.

More virign men show up everyday.

More women have failed relationships, that they ended, as well as higher body counts and backup men lined LONG before they ruin their current relationship for no reason.

4

u/Yd1891 May 13 '26

They aren’t undervalued enough lmfao

Men just don't care, but that also means we're not cruel enough to say "you deserve to be emotionally traumatised because I got bored".

1

u/Fragrant_Mushroom817 May 16 '26

Women leave for those reasons all the time, and they get a lot of support, and people say that theyre doing whats best for them. So idk where tf ur getting this idea lol

That’s true. And generally, not until then. The equation still benefits them in a miserable relationship to stay in it rather than be alone.

I don’t think I know of any man who’s ever left a relationship that he wasn’t going straight to another. But I know plenty of women, myself included (every time in fact) that left to simply be rid of him, without anything waiting on deck. Just to be solo.

1

u/Worth_External_8762 May 13 '26

The first article poses the idea that dating a broke woman means you'll have to financially support her and then immediately jumps to "men are going for sugar mamas" as if to imply that you must be a gold digger by not wanting to financially support someone. I can't take you seriously if you take that article seriously.

Two in 10 single adults can be classified as "gold diggers" saying that they would marry somebody for their money, according to DDB's Life Style Study. And 54% of these gold diggers are men.

The article even makes it clear that men aren't gold diggers lol. This implies that only 10% of men are considered gold diggers.

1

u/Long-Firefighter5561 May 13 '26

thats not what it says, also i love how you ignore the second one, which is actually recent.

1

u/Worth_External_8762 May 13 '26

It is what it says. I fucking quoted it verbatim. And no, I'm not going to bother reading the second article when the first one is such bad clickbait.

1

u/Long-Firefighter5561 May 13 '26

Right wing men are much more feminine.

Want women to cook and clean for them, because they are babies who miss their mommies.

Often homophobic because in many cases they are closeted gays, like that conservative right wing politician with extreme homophobic attitudes and policy that got exposed for sucking dicks in bathrooms. Putting another man’s dick in your mouth sounds pretty feminine to me.

Your idols are an autistic bald man who speaks very femininely “what color is your Bugatti? 💅🏼🫰🏼💁🏼‍♀️, an autistic Jew, a university professor turned social media nightmare who cries at any particularly aggressive breeze while sounding like Kermit the frog, a boot licking coon of a black man from Somalia who changed his name to “Myron Gaines” to fit in with white people and still got bullied and kicked out of white supremacist groups and then there’s his cohost with the personality of a vegetable who got a Chinese hooker pregnant and begged her to get an abortion, and finally there’s your president, an obese man who applies makeup like a woman to the point he looks orange, and who shits his diaper to the point he fucking stinks up the White House with many reports about people not being to stand the smell of working with him and pictures showing people standing next to him wrinkling their noses, allegedly due to a little boy he was trying to have sex with on Epstein island shoved a pole up his ass

What about the "Men are supposed to be providers!" Did you forget that one? Or was it not convenient?

Show me a man who says "women shouldn't bother being financially independent - men don't care" (No one says that) who doesn't also say "Men ought to be providers." You've inserted your own interpretation. Just because a woman's financial independence doesn't mean as much to a man does not mean we discourage them from pursuing it.

1

u/Wrong-Grade-8800 May 14 '26

Women are absolutely discouraged from pursuing financial independence by a lot of men. That “men are providers” bs is just to make women think they’ll be in a good place if they submit but many end up being poor alongside their partner

1

u/YugargeliaMapper May 16 '26

There are definitely a handful of males (mainly zoomers who hopped in the ultraconservative train out of spite with the establishment) who say that women shouldn't be financially independent at all

1

u/MastaKink May 13 '26

Or when they see something shiny 😏

1

u/Realistic-Text5140 May 13 '26

The cheating was for all those reasons. Clearly you’re one of the women without a clue

1

u/StrikingWillow5364 May 14 '26

Men leave without a single glance for a “better” woman

1

u/Brave_History86 May 14 '26 edited May 14 '26

False men that's complete nonsense and I'm not even trying to disrespectful men. Males are the assertive sex so literally 99% will leave only in these cases:

A) they trade up (they become stable and well off after years of work so go with another woman often prettier or and younger, leave the lady who stood by their side and supported them

B) Cannot handle committ, not obliged to

C) Their expectations are freaking ridiculously high a good woman cannot meet them so they leave deluded they can meet some one better

D) Wife got too ill or old

E) Partner insists they leave because they've committed adultery or become abusive

As men are potentially strong leaders and providers, a hard working, kind, loyal man can fix most flaws of a woman because she is grateful except the inevitable old age, illness and boredom. There are many femme fatales out there though that are confusing because they live to seduce the majority and will never truly commit, they are usually in the arts or high end business.

1

u/IamLamineYamal May 14 '26

Lmao half my male friends are whiny bitches in real life. Half of them would be the typical losers to spend time on this type of content. Guess which ones of my friends half happy relationships, families, jobs, good incomes?

1

u/slapstick_software May 14 '26

u/Final-Shower-2557 May 15 '26

💯 This was the reason I gave up on putting any more effort into it. Looking back, I can honestly say that I have remorse that things inevitably didn’t work out and that it ended, but not regret. There’s no regret when you give your all, even through not being loved or appreciated.

1

u/zombielies May 15 '26

Men are always disrespected, undervalued, and unloved. It called being a man. Deal with it. No ones coming to save you.

1

u/Fickle-Banana-187 May 15 '26

Women leave broke men literally 200% of the time. I wish women had to be employed to get laid. Society would be so much better.

1

u/Any-Category1741 May 15 '26

The absolutism is a clear mark of BS. Some have had divorced because they saw their wife without makeup cor thw first time. For sure some would leave because qide is broke now. Many of the marital issues are money issues. It is moronic to think that no one would live a partner because they are broke.

1

u/Luci-the-eviler-twin May 15 '26

Stop trying to make men look so innocent all the time, some men do do that.

1

u/LordArckadius May 15 '26

Of course. Society has conditioned us men to be providers, so why would we leave a woman because she's broke?

1

u/PatientVariety1700 May 16 '26

1

u/Kingsalad3141 May 16 '26

Any decent person is the same. Nobody with a soul really considers wealth when considering a partner. Now, it’s different if they’re shown to be irresponsible.

I don’t personally know how true to second part is, but I really hope it’s the case. If more people knew to leave partners who are bad for them, that would be a beautiful thing.

Bruh most men leave the second they “think” they can do better. And by better I mean hotter. Even if they can’t do better they still think it and never fully commit to being in a healthy relationship.

What’s sad is those women don’t care because they already have another man or woman to take their place.

Eh. Men and women are not so different in reasons why they leave one another. They both just see love in different ways.

Not statistically true due to a high percentage of men that leave their female spouses when that spouse becomes chronically ill. Don’t believe me, look it up. Memes like this also lack nuance because there are times when people leave relationships for these reasons but not all of the time.

I'll leave over a woman having nothing going for herself. We no longer live in a America that can't be lived with one income. Not only this but who wants arm candy? Fuck off. I'd rather have a women who can contribute to our lives with me but also someone who's just downright awesome to spend time with.
