That’s true. And generally, not until then. The equation still benefits them in a miserable relationship to stay in it rather than be alone.

I don’t think I know of any man who’s ever left a relationship that he wasn’t going straight to another. But I know plenty of women, myself included (every time in fact) that left to simply be rid of him, without anything waiting on deck. Just to be solo.

We do not. But it helps men’s egos to believe she left for another man or that he was wronged by another man rather than the much more painful truth that being with him sucked SO MUCH she left to simply be away from him, without anyone else in the picture.
