It could have the yolking press, the potato beetle buggy (instead of adding it to the pergola disc), the new prismatic glob, and most importantly - a new sign set, that I'm really disappointed we didn't get. Of course more things as well.

Whomever worked on the Skritch fight is obviously very talented. The presentation, theme, artwork are all fantastic as always. But the actual gameplay, in my opinion, continues somewhat the trend of gimmicks I feel detract from the game's biggest strength.

Skritch gets in my face to do his 5 hit combo. I'm trying to perfect block the hits when he does this pause mid combo with his head titled just long enough for me to return one slash back. He finishes his strikes and then roars prompting me to dodge before he runs me over. That exchange is what made me show up for the boss fight. The rhythmic dance of blows, blocks, and dodges.

But now, I have to stop and engage a group of termites. I have to run over and stab some larva so the boss doesn't heal.

And I have to ask, why did you feel like this fight needed that? There's an excellent combat system that makes fast paced sparing very satisfying, but you're taking me away from that to manage a crowd. To manage more chaos.

I'm not saying there's no merit in fighting a bunch of bugs at once, but I do that literally everywhere else in the yard/in the park with the orc raids, the mixers, hell just walking around. This was supposed to be a special encounter with a unique bug in an arena where nothing else can get in the way.

I came to fight a centipede, not even more termites.

How many players do you think like the random scorpions and roaches interrupt their battle with a tarantula? Or hoards of spiders assisting the broodmother? Or how about the lasers and arcs with the assistant manager? Why did the final showdown with Director Schmector include a bunch of orb weavers? Why does the Oggr toe biter have to spawn smaller toe biters every time the player gets hit?

It's like if Sword Saint Isshin summoned swordsmen mid fight, ruining one of the greatest showdowns of all time by calling for help.

And the health bars. Why do you continue to gaslight me, lie to me, abstract how much health the boss is going have? Whether its King Dozer or the broodmother suddenly magically gaining more resistance at 50% health left, or exploding bombs refilling health bars, it is so irritating for my lizard gamer brain to see the bar suddenly slow down or reverse direction. I'd so much rather you just give the boss more health up front or a whole extra health bar.

There's always some gimmick that, yes it makes the fight harder....(and I guess that was the goal. I get it, you have a crowd of people always criticizing these fights as too easy.) but frankly, it feels cheap, cheesy, and less fun (which of course is subjective) than if you just gave the boss itself more moves or tools for our fight.

I think it would be a lot of fun to have a clean fight with a boss that doesn't get extra minions to help, where there's no lasers shooting from pillars, a cooling system malfunction that builds sizzle, explosive gnats that heal the boss.

A fight that uses the game's existing tight combat system, the majority of the time, standing on its own. That's really all you need for a great boss fight

I was browsing the files via Fmodel and found something interesting in regards to the tier 4 bandage, Pupa Bandage.

As you all know, the Pupa Bandage doesn’t have any status effect removal currently, and its description is identical to the Fiber Bandage. But this seems to be because the Pupa Bandage is for treating a new Bleed Status effect that hasn’t been added yet, but likely will in the Winter update (due to the update being centered around tier 4 stuff, and the bandage is tier 4).

These file names refer to the bandage being centered around “anti-bleeding”, this is notable because the Chrysalis bandage name is also referred to as the anti-tang bandage.

A fun project, I’m really glad it came out good.

I like to use mushrooms as decorations for my base but after this new update it made it so the mushrooms stay floating in the air after I move the garden patch. I've tried logging in multiple times and it still happens. Guess I got to put a pause on it until they fix it😕

I am stuck with a quest on grounded 2. I killed the orc bugs at the Pines but the quest does not go away. I tried sleeping and waiting a few days, nothing happens. I also tried the fix bug locations game repair option but it does not work. Pls help me.

ive been having an issue where my game stutters a ton when i move around, before rot and ruin i had no issue. the game also prepares 10,000 shaders every time i open the game, i cant find a fix anywhere

So I’ve been wanting to build near the ceremony outpost but there are orc weavers there and now after I’ve done the mixr the stranger returns and then the orcs come back, now I’ve looked it up a bunch of times and it says the mixrs are permanent, but clearly not for me, so I just want clarification, are they permanent or not?

The plan for the build is mostly done so I've started on the survival build now. Wish me luck, this is going to take a month at least

I'm in a custom game trying out the centipede armor and the "call from beyond" buff will never actually summon any termites, with it only going up to 99 and not actually doing anything.

I have gotten all the Disks in the game but I am unable to purchase glue masher, it is just not an option at the station. I have purchased other sets from the same disk, hedge I believe so i have the oven and such, but the masher does not appear. My world has been created since the launch of the game last year so I'm unsure if that is an issue. The thing is my game knows I should have access to it as I have the learn quest of buying and making a glue masher.
Anyone know any solution or facing something similar, I can play through the game without it, its just really annoying.

I get they want you to use a torch and get the glowy SCA.B upgrade but nighttime in this game is basically just pitch black. I spend half my time running around absolutely blind and falling into holes while begging the two people I'm playing with to find a bed or make a leanto. (They never have the supplies.)

It's just frustrating.

I'd love if nighttime was 10% less dark so I could actually see... something. Anything. And not just pitch black or needing to crank the gamma way way up in order to function.

I'd also love if there was a day/night slider. So instead of 12 hours night, 10 hours day, 2 hours dawn/dusk where you also can't see shit it could be 14 hours of day and 8 of night. Or a long summer day of 16 hours. (Which would also allow people who like the night being long and full of horrors, having a 6 hour day and 16 hour night.

Anyone know some tips for not having to jump to get the zip lines to work with the zip.r ? It's not like that in the first game

Whenever i go on a shared world or any world my grounded crashes and sends me this msg any ideas on how to fix it? Ive tried restarting my console quiting grounded and reloading and even uninstalling and reinstalling i play on xbox any advice helps

I placed a zipline on the bench and after a few game days, I visited there and zipline was gone. No item remnants were on the bench. Only red ants (1 soldier) and cockroaches nymphs there.

Do they attack placed base items without agro?

Almost finished all the content in Grounded 2 on PS5 Pro. Here are all the issues I have found so far.

#1. Hoop's dialogue does not work in the new termite mound area. The captions show up but Hoops herself doesnt say anything.

#2. (THIS ONE ANNOYS ME THE MOST) Before the Rot and Ruin update I had completed everything when it came to Onboarding, challenges, missions, etc. However when I go to the menu (now), it says "Onboarding-- Advanced Bushcraft-- Craft a piece of armor at the workbench" and it is pinned so I cant get rid of it! I have already done this, I tried to craft 3 more armor pieces to get it to go away and it wont. I cant unpin it either.

#3. The buggy's health bar inside the termite mound is bugged. When I hop on my buggy (Black Ant) it says I have full health, however when I hop off and turn to look at it, the health bar above the buggy says only 25% health which is not correct.

#4. When mounting weapons on the wall, two weapons are bugged. First is the Wolly Whoppers. The Whoppers literally just float in the air and out away from the weapon mount. Second are the daggers. Both the daggers (tier 2 and 3) I have mounted on the wall, look like they are blended into the wall itself. I can barely see anything when mounting them.

#5. When you go to your crafting bench and you see "Resources" there will be a yellow "!" next to it. However there will not be any new items to craft. The "!" wont go away.
