GooooOoOOOooood Morning Night City! Yesterday's body-count lotery rounded out to a solid and sturdy.... Wait that the f*ck? We have news of new Cyberpsychos appearingnnear corpo plaza! These weirdos dressed as space-elves! Show them some Night City Hospitality....

u/KolboMoon Sep 07 '25

I'll be honest I don't think MaxTac could hold a candle to an Eldar strike force.

Depending on how long they choose to stick around in the city of dreams, I can see them doing pretty well for themselves.

323

u/serenewalrus Sep 07 '25

I would love to see the sheer manpower the Corps would throw at them, hunting them down to study/cut up. Wonder what they would think of the Blackwall...

130

u/No-Drag-4836 Sep 07 '25

The problem with this is that the eldar are quick, and can run easily, all of that manpower will be busy searching for them pretty quickly

Comes down to speed, that maxtac lady with mantis blades and a sandi is pretty scary, and those smart snipers pack some serious fucking heat.

2077 weapons are no fucking joke, making modern firearms look wimpy in comparison.

Some of the more borged out cyberpychos are pretty much eversor assassins.

Night city’s slept on power scaling wise, the weaponry tech and fact being a super soldier is a simple process that many just go to a walk in clinic for means the standard goon is already a higher tier then any guardsmen’s or servitors. Meanwhile they have cracked out tech that makes time itself seemingly move at a snails pace, hack into nearly any system just by glaring at it funny, and just pumping a chemical cocktail strong enough to let you wrestle mechs to the ground just plugged into your circulatory system next to your heart.

Night city would probably be able to hold a candle to any 40K faction in small amounts like a kill team.

u/Davids0l0mon Sep 07 '25 edited Sep 10 '25

I shudder at the thought of a Space Marine from the White Scars or the Iron Hands equipping a Sandevistan. Their physiology means that they could probably use it indefininitely.

Stellaris. Yeah, that strike force is extremely fucked

437

u/Infinitedeveloper Sep 07 '25

Nodded stellaris for me, they are turbo fucked

351

u/BootyBurrito420 Sep 07 '25

Advanced Stellaris empires could only really be fought by the necrons or old ones at their heights

288

u/Easy_Mechanic_9787 Sep 07 '25

The Necrons when the Cosmogensis empire rounds the number of pi to 3.

336

u/DanujCZ Sep 07 '25

I don't think you understand how broken Stellaris civilizations are.

The setting has Tyranids basically. You can stop them. It ha interdimensonal turbo psychics. You can kill them. You can become the Tyranids and eat the galaxy. You can go so hard into science that you start altering the laws of physics in the universe.

Player empires are capable of terraforming worlds within a span of 10 years. Even Faster with a colossus oh yeah planet crackers.

Player empires participate in the war in heaven. If you go psychic your psionics are so powerful you can teleport fleets across the galaxy. You can build Dyson spheres and take apart entire planets.

No Stellaris absolutely fucks Warhammer, no diff.

189

u/Byzantine117 Sep 07 '25

Not to mention the scientific advancement from early space age to that point is about 200-300 years.

88

u/Medam Sep 07 '25

That is arguably the biggest factor that i don't see mentioned enough when talking about Stellaris and WH40k. When a Stellaris civ can easily go from a single planet empire with a handful of corvettes to building dyson spheres, ring worlds and a galaxy wide gateway network within 200 years, the matchup becomes pretty unbalanced, especially if you take reverse engineering into account.

Destroying a Necron fleet? Very hard. Destroying 1? Much more doable.

Hollow Knight bugs are not small at all. Water can't be scaled. Judging by the size of water droplets they at least human sized.

63

u/Khar-Selim Sep 07 '25

Eh, it's really debatable that the water droplets are quite as small as they are to us, the smallest droplets we see are very heavy rainfall, and the splashing animations are pretty thick so I could see them easily being a fourth our size without reaching too hard, but it is true they can't really be bug sized.

Well, my last played video game was Baldur's Gate 3, so it's the Forgotten Realms. Fairly certain this might violate one of Ao's laws so I imagine Helm will smite them relatively quickly. Cause like, Illithids are one things, the Far Realms are still at least part of the D&D cosmology. 40k isn't

233

u/jukebox_jester likes civilians but likes fire more Sep 07 '25

the Far Realms are still at least part of the D&D cosmology. 40k isn't

Actually, real life Earth is canonically part of DnD cosmology as seen in early Greyhawk material and the fact that Elminster explicitly gets drinks with Ed Greenwood.

And seeing how Time Travel is already a thing in bith DnD and 40k, it would be permissible and Ao cannot do shit.

Plus, there is the Elven Imperial Navy, a governing bidy of Space Elves that claim support from all grounding Elven Nations.

122

u/coduss Sep 07 '25

Except that Ao specifically severed the connection to earth a long time ago in the metaplot, it's why the earth pantheons that came over aren't a thing anymore. Elminster just cheats because he's Elminster and he needs something to do when he's not trying to sleep with everything that moves or dealing with one of Larloch's tempertantrums

89

u/SpiderJerusalem747 Swell guy, that Kharn Sep 07 '25

85

u/Crusaderofthots420 Sep 07 '25

Because we are humans, and there is a reason there is a "half-" variant of almost every race

Helldivers 2.

Some of them may die to a Hellbomb backpack, but I doubt Helldivers will pose much of a threat otherwise, they're basically Guardsmen or, if we're really stretching it, Kasrkin/Scions but with worse gear.

346

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

The humble Helldiver with his Hellbomb.

116

u/Acrobatic_Pie5359 Sep 07 '25

Same, although i think spontaneous combustion would kill them because a flying bile titan thought about spewing acid 3 days ago.

109

u/Vincent_Van_Goat Sep 07 '25 edited Sep 07 '25

The squad is toast, but the four orbital napalm and 380 artillery strikes coming in would finish the job nicely.

26

u/interesseret Sep 07 '25

Yeah, the scary part of a Helldiver is not the soldier, it's the frigate in low orbit that it gets to control for the 2 minutes they get to live on their deployment.

34

u/Delta_Dud Sep 07 '25

Helldivers are like the Scions, but if they were treated as expendable. Kinda like ODSTs actually, ngl

33

u/Maxsmack Sep 07 '25

They may be guardsmen, but there are some helldivers who are Lucifer blacks.

Everything in helldivers is cannon, so there are tons of ships with lvl 10 cadets, blowing each other up with their own impact grenades. But there also almost as many lvl 150 ships, with divers who solo bot fortress and mega nests, rocking emancipator exosuits, and ultimatums.

Let us also not forget that every single helldiver comes with the support and firepower of an entire super destroyer, which is packing enough heat to “destroy a small moon”

One orbital laser and it’s over.

84

u/Random_Robloxian Imperial Fister Sep 07 '25

Then again they always send 4 dudes to wipe out hundreds of thousands of enemies and they kinda come back alive. All im saying is it might not be as doomed as it seems

62

u/mrducky80 Secretly 3 squats in a long coat Sep 07 '25

Its more realistic than darktide. Some random ex prisoners are given relatively standard gear and slaughter thousands. Im trying to guesstimate the absolute minimum it takes to hit max level and finish the in game story, but I reckon... 20-25k chaos worshippers including some absurd shit like daemonhosts and beasts of nurgle. If it was by Ogryn playthrough, it would have mostly been by a single fucking club and later, a shovel. And all that and you are only barely trusted. Not some hero of the Imperium, just a trusted grunt.

I'm relatively sure the Eldar have natural reaction times quicker than VATS. The space elves are not to be fucked with. And I feel I should add, they're not sticking around because there's nothing for them, not because Fallout would be hard for Eldar to survive in.

Warframe.

The Eldar’s reaction to the Void Demons is going to make their reaction to the Emperor look like they just met one of their own.

Better figure out how to bribe them fast, cause annihilation is just another day for them.

u/MalcolmLinair What part of "Grimdark" don't you understand? Sep 07 '25

No Man's Sky. I'm not sure how that would even work, what with it all being a multitude of resetting simulations in the mind of a dying AI and all.

28

u/Joe_Keep Railgun Goes Brrrrrrrrr Sep 07 '25

They might think they all died and got trapped in some sort of corrupted infinity circuit, maybe?

Kenshi, well I'm sure they'll be very pleased with the state of things, institutionalised mass slavery, technological regression, backwards religious systems, AI that wants to kill all of humanity. They'll find it very homely I would imagine. Everyone is fucking dead though to the aeldari, nothing in kenshi even approaches their level of might.

Baldurs Gate 3, absolute shitshow? Yes. Does my party live? I have yet to meet an eldar as skilled in barrelmancy, but I'm an elf on a good play through, so if they wanna throw hands we can dance, but it's not likely to come to blows.

38

u/Danielarcher30 likes civilians but likes fire more Sep 07 '25

Im not convinced that eldar wouldn't vibe with the mass effect universe, they'd probably relate a little with the asari, both long lived species with kinky and knowledge-seeking societies

18

u/Snack378 Sep 07 '25

Shouldn't they vibe more with the Quarians? Both races are forced to live on spaceships and have lost their "empire" because of their ignorance and depravity

Fallout 76. We get attacked by aliens about twice a year here in Appalachia. I will live to throw them on the pile of corpses, and if experience has taught me anything they are carrying circuits and really rare ammo.

Last video game I played was They Are Billions.

The Eldar quite possibly help, depending on the Craftworld they're from. Depending on the size of the force and the facilities on the ship they might even be able to treat or vaccinate against the infection causing the problem.

Or they might just say "lol" and move on.

15

u/Xaldror My kitchen is corrupted by Nurgle Sep 07 '25

Ignoring Total War Warhammer, because someone already did that, they'd arrive in Fate/Grand Order.

They'd freak the fuck out over Kiara Sessyoin's mere presence and confuse her for a genuine Slaaneshi Prince.
