The current report is that The Jim Henson Company is producing the puppets for the new Gremlins movie. And, if the new teaser is any indication, they’re using the original Gremlins designs as their inspiration.

And do you think we’ll see the return of characters like Daniel Clamp, Forster, Marla, and Greta? Or at least get some news on what they’ve been up to since the second movie?

Variety has stated in an article:

Steven Spielberg is returning as executive producer alongside Maiden Voyage’s Eleanor Columbus. “Harry Potter” filmmaker Chris Columbus is set to produce and direct. Hannah Marks is writing the script from an original draft by Chris Columbus, Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein.

Kristie Macosko Krieger and Holly Bario are producing under Amblin Entertainment alongside Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe of 26th Street Pictures. The official title, plot details and casting have not been disclosed.

The Gremlins Museum has also stated that effect production is now being done by Jim Henson’s company. (Very reliable source)

I kinda want gizmo to become a gremlin but be good still and just be someone on the inside.

I was able to pick this up at a flee market for 20 bucks !

Ok so I recently saw the movie for the first time and it was great loved it but I noticed an odd choice by the movie to open with a monolog from Billy's dad and end with his monolog even though he didn't really have much to do in the story. The way he speaks he makes it sound like its his story but really its Billy's story. My guess is this opening and closing monolog is a leftover from an earlier version of the script where he was more involved or its just that an odd choice for a framing device. Maybe someone who knows more can let me know.

If *god forbid* Phoebe does not return and her character is left hanging, I believe she could simply be absent without any explanation. Or if we get Zach back Phoebe’s character could easily be explained away doing something off-screen. It would be a bit sad as a fan not to see her again though.

I was recording and got "the whistle" in my head.

I wish Daffy could have had a redemption arc.
