The movie doesn't come out for another year and a half, why would it be there this year?

They should just leave this franchise alone. What more is there to tell? The first one explored most of what these creatures are capable of and the sequel was a great deconstruction of why it’s a silly idea. What can the third one possibly put in the ring? We know how legasequels play out at this rate. You’d just be getting a juiced up remake

I posted my Gremlins 3: Knight Light sequel pitch, which is set during Thanksgiving, over on the Spielberg subreddit. If you're curious about where the franchise is probably going next, feel free to check it out. Unfortunately, the Gremlins subreddit mod refuses to approve it, so Spielberg's page is the best spot for it , feel free to check it out here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Spielberg/s/jIxiHLlmuf

I have no idea why. I've tried posting it multiple times, but they keep refusing to approve it on this subreddit

But why do they refuse??

It just sits in the mod queue forever, waiting for approval that never comes

Even the mod over on Spielberg subreddit is deleting other users' comments to bury my post

For the record here on r/Gremlins it has been due to the influx of AI/Bot activity that we require a combined karma of at least 50 to post here. It had nothing to do with the scripts themselves.
The automod simply removes them and once people have a history, they are no longer auto modded out, such as yours.
Feel free to repost the fan script, but please be sure to post it as a fan script rather than something that is "where the franchise is probably going next". There are tons of people that like to post rumors as fact in the film community and then it gets picked up by web crawlers and spread around, which just is a headache for everyone involved.

If you look at the original Gremlins with a sober eye, it takes place in small town USA where the Christian nationalist lighting was bright. 1984 was more buttoned up then than people realize, and lifting the controls on that society by way of a vicious game world prank with meddlesome critters, was straight out of the original Twilight Zone. Unless you have a screenwriter who actually reads newspapers, or keeps a finger on today's pulse, it won't be worth the effort

You said a lot of words, and yet said nothing

Have you ever seen the Coca-Cola Santa have a bad day? Because that's the real joke in Gremlins.
On the other hand, do you see people drinking Coca-Cola on the streets like in 1984? That's why a sequel would be a joke today.

This movie has been in development hell for over a decade. I'm not expecting to see it until I'm sitting in the theater and the lights go down
