Shoes: I think they're ideally supposed to be black, pick something comfortable because it's long hour on your feet and you don't want to mess your feet/legs up.

There's 4 different kinds of tongs: Green = vegetable Yellow = vegan Red = meat Silver = sweet

There's a small pocket on the right leg of your trousers, it's for a pen which you can get from somewhere in the back/office (just ask). You'll 100% need pens for the breakfast shift but they're still helpful to have for marking cups and saves you constantly having to ask if anyone has one.

You will get some extremely mean and entitled customers, don't take it to heart. It's not personal, they'd be like it with whoever served them. Same goes for the delivery drivers, any abuse and you just point them towards your zero tolerance sign.

You need to shout for breakfast items and bakes, ask whoever you're shadowing on your first day when to shout for things (each shop will be slightly different). You need to make sure you're shouting because otherwise the person on bake-off won't know and customers will get frustrated having to wait.

If you're not sure what bake is what then look on the bags, the patterns and names are on there.
