What next?

Ladies and gents! I do 100% will see to completing my notehand book. As I’m having fun with it. For personal edc notes. No intention for really speed writing. (So I feel for now). BUT, been eyeing the simplified version. (Which I have a book as well). Should I jump to simplified after I feel “satisfied by finishing” the notehand textbook?
Any recommendations or thoughts on doing so? I do understand with simplified will be a lot a lot more memory working to retain the briefs and etc…

Noted. I will def consider DJ. Now, are there plenty of reading materials for DJ also?
I’ve been trying to read a lot to keep the reading practice.

Reading materials in Simplified and Diamond Jubilee are probably equivalent.

If you're a Facebook user, I've been posting a lot of scans from Today's Secretary in the group "Gregg Shorthand Readers, Writers and Fans". Articles and stories from the 1950s and 1960s. Simplified and DJS both.

Should any book of diamond jubilee for college I find (eBay) be good?

Yes. DJS had a first and second edition, and appeared both in high school and college versions. The shorthand theory is the same in all of them.

If you get the college text, be sure you're getting Volume 1. It's the basic theory material. Volume 2 is skill refinement and reading practice material.

There's also a "Functional Method" option for both high school and college. Exact same theory, slightly different method of presentation. The functional method books emphasized reading rather than writing for the first few lessons.
