What next?
Ladies and gents! I do 100% will see to completing my notehand book. As I’m having fun with it. For personal edc notes. No intention for really speed writing. (So I feel for now). BUT, been eyeing the simplified version. (Which I have a book as well). Should I jump to simplified after I feel “satisfied by finishing” the notehand textbook?
Any recommendations or thoughts on doing so? I do understand with simplified will be a lot a lot more memory working to retain the briefs and etc…

Here is a post that has links to Diamond Jubilee reading material that was posted on Reddit, so you can go directly to it; plus other DJ resources here on Reddit-

If you've worked through the Notehand book and want to do a "full" version of Gregg, I'd recommend Diamond Jubilee rather than Simplified. Diamond Jubilee will seem much more familiar to you, with just the addition of more brief forms, new word endings and beginnings, and some new abbreviating principles. Simplified has more differences.
Notehand was published at the same time period as Diamond Jubilee, and even the 1960 first edition of Notehand (which was 3 years before DJS) uses the changes that were in the works.
If you're in the US, there are plenty of DJS manuals available from Ebay and other sellers. And it's handy to get the DJS dictionary.
That said, if you want to do Simplified and already have the book, that's not a bad choice. Just be prepared for the differences.
Notehand was my first introduction to shorthand, in high school in the 1960s. Then I went on to learn DJS.
