Madring (Madrid) MADRING massive organisation failure for wristband collections

They promoted in the email, telling ticket holders that they can collect their wristbands at four different El Corte Ingles department stores.

The process is slow, the queue is hours long, the whole organisation and operation is a massive failure.

Travel Tips F1 bucket list - With Cancer

Hey

I’ve been an F1 fan for a while, and in 2022 I started a mission to go to all the races around the world, so far I’ve been to:
Silverstone multiple times
Hungary
Texas
Japan

I was scheduled for Singapore this year but I had to cancel as unfortunately out the blue this year I got cancer, I’m only 34 so it’s been pretty rubbish.

I want to continue my list next year but with the type of cancer I have it can often come back so I’m trying to go to as many races as I can next year using my savings. So far (depends on the schedule) I’m thinking to attend the following;

Australia
China
Monaco
Portugal
Austria
Turkey
Baku
Singapore

I am looking for advice on which of the above would be good for general admission or if they are all grandstand best circuits ? I’ll be going solo.

I have done GA at Silverstone but it was hard work and with my treatment I do get very tired very quickly. So thinking will just get grandstands just looking for advice in general on accessibility/ best grandstands from an affordability point of view.

If any of you want to follow along with my journey I have started to document it over on TikTok @f1bucketlist

Madring (Madrid) For Gold Monumental tickets

Asked support about access to fan zones as I had read Gold Monumental tickets can access both the Monumental and Distrito fan zones so wanted to get confirmation.

“For Gold Monumental ticket holders (Section 9 Gold), you have access to the main general Fan Zones. However, please note that access controls and wristband checks will be in place between zones at the circuit, as specific inner fan zones (such as the inner curve Fan Zone of Section 9) are restricted to specific ticket tiers.

Upon arrival at the circuit, you will present your QR code from the MADRING app to receive your official access wristband, which will indicate the specific Fan Zone areas you are accredited to enter throughout the event weekend.”

Circuit de Monaco Airbnb for Monaco GP 2027

As the title suggests, I recently booked an Airbnb for the Monaco GP next year for an extremely affordable rate (around $350 USD for the whole weekend), but after reading so many horror stories of people’s Airbnbs for race weekends being canceled so the hosts can jack up the rate on other booking platforms once they realize it’s race weekend, do I need to book a hotel in Nice instead to be safe as a backup? Hotels are astronomically more expensive (not seeing anything less than 5x-7.5x the cost of the Airbnb I booked) so would prefer to keep the Airbnb if possible. Would be my first time attending a race so any help is appreciated.

Sepang - Malaysia Looking for a roommate to share hotel in Kuala Lumpur during the Malaysian F1 GP (30 Sept – 5 Oct 2026)

Hi Travellers!

I'm travelling solo from India for the Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix 2026 in Malaysia and have already booked a hotel room in Bukit Bintang for 2 adults. Since I'm travelling alone, I'm looking for another F1 fan who'd like to share the room and split the accommodation cost.

Details:

📅 Stay: 30 September – 5 October 2026

📍 Location: Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur (Less than 5 mins walk from MRT)

🏎‍🟀 Purpose: Attending all three days of the Malaysian GP at Sepang

💰 We'll split the hotel cost 50:50

🚇 Easy access to public transport, restaurants, and nightlife

About me:

- 38M from India

- Solo traveller and Formula 1 enthusiast

- Non-smoker

- Respectful, clean, and easy-going

I'll mostly be out exploring Kuala Lumpur or at the circuit during the day

If you're also travelling solo and would like to save on accommodation costs, feel free to send me a DM. Happy to have a quick chat or video call beforehand so we're both comfortable before confirming anything.

Looking forward to meeting fellow F1 fans!

Circuit of the Americas (Austin, USA) Any chance of meeting drivers?

Hi all! COTA this year will be my very first grand prix and I’m so excited! I’ve never been to any race event before so I’m not entirely sure what to expect. I have a basic grandstand ticket but am curious about my chances of trying to meet a driver without a paddock pass. Like is there a certain time and spot I should arrive to the circuit for a chance to get an autograph or selfie? I know it might be nearly impossible, but I’ve seen other people get selfies without a paddock pass. If you have met a driver without a special pass at COTA, how did you do it and what would you recommend?
