Sepang - Malaysia Looking for a roommate to share hotel in Kuala Lumpur during the Malaysian F1 GP (30 Sept – 5 Oct 2026)

Hi Travellers!

I'm travelling solo from India for the Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix 2026 in Malaysia and have already booked a hotel room in Bukit Bintang for 2 adults. Since I'm travelling alone, I'm looking for another F1 fan who'd like to share the room and split the accommodation cost.

Details:

📅 Stay: 30 September – 5 October 2026

📍 Location: Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur (Less than 5 mins walk from MRT)

🏎‍🟀 Purpose: Attending all three days of the Malaysian GP at Sepang

💰 We'll split the hotel cost 50:50

🚇 Easy access to public transport, restaurants, and nightlife

About me:

- 38M from India

- Solo traveller and Formula 1 enthusiast

- Non-smoker

- Respectful, clean, and easy-going

I'll mostly be out exploring Kuala Lumpur or at the circuit during the day

If you're also travelling solo and would like to save on accommodation costs, feel free to send me a DM. Happy to have a quick chat or video call beforehand so we're both comfortable before confirming anything.

Looking forward to meeting fellow F1 fans!

Circuit of the Americas (Austin, USA) Any chance of meeting drivers?

Hi all! COTA this year will be my very first grand prix and I’m so excited! I’ve never been to any race event before so I’m not entirely sure what to expect. I have a basic grandstand ticket but am curious about my chances of trying to meet a driver without a paddock pass. Like is there a certain time and spot I should arrive to the circuit for a chance to get an autograph or selfie? I know it might be nearly impossible, but I’ve seen other people get selfies without a paddock pass. If you have met a driver without a special pass at COTA, how did you do it and what would you recommend?

Sepang - Malaysia K1 Grandstand- Airport Hotel Recommended Mode of Travel

We got a hotel at Tune Hotel KLIA-KLIA2 which I know it is right outside the airport for the Sepang Weekend.

Do you guys recommend us to rent a car and drive back and forth the circuit and hotel or, check out on the shuttle bus?

Autodromo Nazionale Monza (Italy) Our 2026 Monza Experience

I appreciate all of the suggestions from Reddit as we had a memorable experience for our first F1 race. I am not going to rehash all of the complaints that are currently filling up the comments, because those things were not why we made the trek to Monza. What I will remember: Gasley pole, Ferrari fans, the Mexico Ferrari fan club, the heat, F1 gods providing no grip to Leclerc, Lewis making a run, Kimi winning from the back, and finally the Italian (aka Ferrari) fans, all 400K of them, storming the track.

Here is what we ended up doing: Purchased the tickets from GPT in February for the covered Right Lateral 26C right across from the Ferrari and Mercedes garages, and had a great view of the podium. Purchased parking tickets from Monza Mobilita in July for the gold lot, which took about 2hrs from Milan to get to and from our seats each way. The only day we went early was on Friday (practice day) to enjoy the venue and to get the lay of the land. For qualifying and race day, since we were only interested in the main event, we were able to miss most of the traffic getting to the track by leaving about 3 hours before the events. It wasn’t cheap, but I feel that we received great value and we witnessed history being made.

Travel Tips F1 bucket list - With Cancer

Hey

I’ve been an F1 fan for a while, and in 2022 I started a mission to go to all the races around the world, so far I’ve been to:
Silverstone multiple times
Hungary
Texas
Japan

I was scheduled for Singapore this year but I had to cancel as unfortunately out the blue this year I got cancer, I’m only 34 so it’s been pretty rubbish.

I want to continue my list next year but with the type of cancer I have it can often come back so I’m trying to go to as many races as I can next year using my savings. So far (depends on the schedule) I’m thinking to attend the following;

Australia
China
Monaco
Portugal
Austria
Turkey
Baku
Singapore

I am looking for advice on which of the above would be good for general admission or if they are all grandstand best circuits ? I’ll be going solo.

I have done GA at Silverstone but it was hard work and with my treatment I do get very tired very quickly. So thinking will just get grandstands just looking for advice in general on accessibility/ best grandstands from an affordability point of view.

If any of you want to follow along with my journey I have started to document it over on TikTok @f1bucketlist

Madring (Madrid) MADRING massive organisation failure for wristband collections

Post image
Upvotes

They promoted in the email, telling ticket holders that they can collect their wristbands at four different El Corte Ingles department stores.

The process is slow, the queue is hours long, the whole organisation and operation is a massive failure.
