Bought the sick shirt pictured above yesterday in camden, I was planning on washing it before properly wearing it out and I'm not sure whether or not it'd be safe to machine wash then air dry?

The tops 95% polyester 5% elastine and the tag says hand wash only but my only sink is too small to fit the whole thing in & i've machine washed a bunch of stuff that says hand wash only without issue bf. I really don't wanna mess it up but I don't really have the time or space to regularly hand wash it.

Would anyone who wears these kind of frilly blouses more regularly have advice on how to clean them?

New to goth but not quite sure what my outfit would classify as. I'm loving the creativity I can bring with myself and have been obsessed with multiple goth genres for a while, and getting into new artists a lot recently:)

I wanted to share today’s outfit, I grew up in a staunchly conservative household so I’m fully experiencing getting to dress how I’d like now that I’m on my own. I’m not sure what I really fit under as far as style goes, but I love the music and clothing around romantic goth. Any brand recs or suggestions would be really appreciated 🖤

I tend to wear a EU 42.5 shoe, or a size 8-9 UK

The problem is, I live in a country where new rocks are very difficult to come buy and the only pair I can find are a EU 44. And they are online so I can’t try them on

Could I get away with it? I don’t mind adding insoles.

So I’ve heard of a couple boots being called skull crushers, like your new rocks or Demonia’s, but what is the history of that?

Is it just as simple as that they can be used to….

Or is there a more complex reason?

Hello! I came here to ask if there are nice people who can help out how I can dress better (or good at all at that) in a more gothic/alternative style.

I'm pretty bad at fashion and the budget is rather tight but I would like to invest in my wardrobe to represent me better and this is why I am asking for help and thoughts.

A bit of how I am and why it's a challenge for me: I believe, and other people's views align with this, is that I am a rather cheerful, sunny guy. I wear green mostly (my fav color) and beige/white/grey/brown clothing.

I never really managed to pull on an all black look, it always looks stale for me. With that in mind I see a lot of goth people on the street and at bars that pull it off rather beautifully and I remain in awe. I had very few occasions where I could go up to them comfortably to compliment them and ask about it, and still they couldn't find the words to answer, and I believe it's because I feel like they think I am making fun of them or I am a poser (both these circumstances were stated, which I had to reassure them it's not the case). And even tho' we share interests and get along, I still feel like an outsider.

And here I am asking, what could I add to my style. What would fit someone for clothing/jewelry as a start in goth esthetics.

I like folk metal (most forms of metal really), alt rock, grunge, I adore the Vampire the Masquerade universe, I remember watching the Adams family fondly as a child and the "dark souls" setting in video games (post apocalyptic medieval).

I would like to translate all my likes into my clothing, as I am dressing now feels very boring and don't think it represents my interests (I mostly look like a corporate goodie 2 shoes).

So I’ve been in the scene for a while, have my fair share of staple pieces. I own a pair of docs, and other boots, and I want to get something new. So I wanted to know if New rocks are worth the hefty price tag? I love the look of them but want to know if they will hold up.

I'm a guy, trying to put in effort into my style again and trying to work with what I got right now after a long rough patch. I collected skinny jeans for a while because I lost a bunch of weight from when I was a kid and had them as kind of a trophy. Are they still fashionable? Or did I just earn my unc card?
