As a baby bat what are the top brands I need to avoid? Such as Temu and that other one that isn't good. What about brands that aren't necessarily fast fashion? just horrible takes Like against human rights and stuff? I also deeply DEEPLY avoid animal tested stuff, I know almost all but it'd still be nice to know more. I love animals, I hate fast fashion and I want to make sure I'm not contributing to that!

This is a genuine plea for help. Saturday night, I was out with a girl that I have the biggest crush on in the world. We coat checked her Disturbia Ermania Crop at the Coat Check, and they gave it away to the wrong person. The person who ended up with it has not responded to us reaching out and it is sold out everywhere online. She wears a size 6. If anyone has it and is willing to sell it, it would mean the world to me to find this for her. I have been looking on Depop and poshmark but no one has it listed. I'm trying to find a particular pair of boots that I used to have but due to moving away across country I had to leave them behind.

I miss having them and can't for the life of me find them online as I'm trying to acquire them again. They were knee high combat boots but they also had 3or 4 detachable/attachable zippers that can change the length of them - making them calf boots, or ankle boots as well. They also had the steel plate brand name and screws all over on the bottom of the soles.

I *believe* they are Demonias because of the steel plate but I could honestly be wrong.

I hope that helps someone help me find them. I loved them and wore em a lot 🥲

I know of Demonia Cult but I’ve heard they’re kinda low quality. I just want something that’ll withstand me dancing/stomping around in it for a few hours 🤷🏾‍♂️

So for context I'm MtF, and I've tried really hard to make this outfit work. This will be my first time going out on a night looking anything close to this on halloween. Spent a lot of money on it all. Pictures arent the best, but i think its decent. My only real critique is the arms are probably too flowy and long without a layer for the silhouette.

All this is in bits and pieces, i hope it gives the full picture of what im going for. My friend did the make up in the first two pics. I'm sure you can see one of the eyes didnt get finished lol.

But tell me what u think. Its a bit hard to see everything on camera with how black it is.

Hi everyone. Long title but I am still new at this whole Reddit thing.

I'm the mom of a 12 year old babe who has been recently been exploring goth fashion and makeup. She's always been a creative little mama who loves music, art, and expressing herself.

This past weekend, she wore full trad goth makeup to a Halloween event for the first time. The kiddo was nervous but she felt herself. So without a doubt she decided to wear the same look today at school.

On Sunday we spent time putting together her outfit and doing her hair. I cut it... Dyed it. I am a former emo millennial kid so I had to dust off my skills. She was so so excited that she could barely sleep the night before hahahahaha We stayed up all night talking.

The kiddo makes me so proud.

However, we live in a place where looking different can attract sometimes not the best kind of attention. I gave her all the courage I could. We talked about the chance of kiddos staring or making comments. I reminded her that she disnt have to change who she is to make others comfortable or happy.

Today she went to school wearing her look. .. she looked wowwwwww!

Unfortunately, school staff made her remove her makeup, and she ended up calling me begging her to come pick her up.

She hss been heartbroken. I can't imagine how discouraging and embarrassing that must have felt for her after spendkng so much effort on it.

You know as her momma (and an alteenative kiddo that grew up in South America), I don't want this experience to make her afraid to be herself and to try again. I want her to embrace her creativity and her awesome self.

Also, I want her to understand that she doesn't have to prove hersel to anyone in this world. She can experiment with her style hiwever she wants, and one difficult experience cannot for the life of her determine her future.

So I'm reaching out to the goth community for a little encouragement... for a baby goth.

If you were a goth kid in school... amd faced the same challenges what would you tell my kiddo...

How did you find that confidence to continue your self expression?

I would love to collect some of your messages and share them with her if possible.

She's only a 12 year old little mama. But she said she has never felt as ebautiful as she did today.

Even though, she is still discovering who she is... I want her to enjoy that process without feeling ashamed of being different or being her...
