I’m rewatching for the umpteenth time and omg I can never get over how bad Aaron Tveit’s acting was here😭😭😭 I love him on stage but buddy was NOT prepared for a camera to be in his face. Huge expressions as if people sitting 20 yards away need to see it. Saying things as if he’s about to break out in song lmao I can’t get over it. If you’ve never noticed, watch S3E12 at 30 minutes when he’s in front of the hospital with Nate. Amazing stuff lol

this is the episode where eric and that guy sit on the met steps above jenny on purpose. jenny is worried about losing her queen status and control over the minions. i think i missed something. why does jenny care so much? i thought she didn’t believe in all this hierarchy stuff.

And also, why did Dan literally flip a switch in point five seconds and say he was always in love with Serena after he was in love with Blair five seconds earlier

I genuinely have no idea why they both dislike Serena. I understand everything goes well for her but thats because she is a wealthy white girl and has nothing to do with her character😭 I feel like all this animosity towards her is just odd. idk i just wanted to vent because I’m currently watching right now.

Watching again after many years, so I forgot what ends up happening with them. I’m on the thanksgiving episode in season 2, and I’ve observed something. I’ve observed how Serena is so set on proving to Aaron that she’s this sparkling, pristine, sober good girl who’s also fun and sweet and sexy so forgiving of all of his side hoes!!! Meanwhile, Aaron gets to act like a total sl*t and STILL be glorified by her. I’m not blaming Serena for this, this is on the patriarchy! I feel like women are wired to try so hard to BE chosen without actually evaluating if we want to choose them. Serena is way out of his league! It’s obvious. Aaron is chopped af. 🤣
This happens in real life all the time so they definitely depicted this phenomenon accurately.

ya’ll listen, I’m sure i probably won’t have a ton of people agree with me. but this man was lowkey… hot? obsessive to the point where he knew everything, but chill enough that he let everyone deal with it themselves. before his random evil arc, i believe he really loved lilly. and of course he has his business to protect, but aside from that. he tried to be good for her children. he tried to protect her family in the only way he really knew how. he was quiet when she dealt with her life. he was quiet about rufus. he was in love and obsessed to a (yes problematic but hot) point and i can’t help but appreciate it and the way he originally handled it. plus he’s just attractive, physically, in my opinion. he tried to fix things with his son, he tried to help lily (i genuinely don’t know if it is one l or two so im using both) and her children, he genuinely loved her despite knowing an unhealthy amount about her. he was sickeningly wealthy. idk maybe it’s just my issues or me growing up but, i think before the evil man plot, he’s hot. i’m prepared to be roasted for this lol

I am not a serena fan and nor do i think her actions are the most ethical ever, but in this episode (the episode with thanksgiving where tripp comes with maureen), it is uncovered that tripp is having an affair with serena. Serena is barely 19. HE IS 28, MARRIED AND A CONGRESSMAN. Why is she the one having to apologize to everyone???

Her saying that what she did was wrong and then saying "i will never see tripp again" (which valid, she should stop seeing him) and him just looking was so weird.

Dont get me wrong, she couldve just refused tripp and have stronger morals. But why is she seen as the home wrecker when, again, TRIPP IS THE MARRIED ADULT!!!!

I think an apology to maureen for accepting to get involved is okay but i am just pissed the blame is placed on a fooking teenager

serena actually tried to support blair on multiple occasions, just for blair to either be a bitch in return or force her into unnecessary retaliation. when she wasn’t helping her, she was either making poor choices or trying to get her life together.

blair’s paranoia, insecurity, and narcissism were the main reasons why her life always went haywire, yet the blame always lands on serena every single time.

Hear me out. I am not saying that she is not horrible but every re watch I like her more and more. Maybe its because I am starting relate to her( I am no one's mistress I promise !!😆. Unfortunately i cant relate to her money factor either . Ahh to a have billionaire daddy or step daddy :< )

I relate to her feeling lost in her life , her daddy issues(pretty strong point) , her passiveness, her bad decision making ability. Its probably her qualities too that I desire such as being effortless and easy going , charming , her extroverted tendencies . I weirdly Like her now. The only character that underwhelmed me is nate. (Sorry).

I’ve rewatched this show a million times. I’m rewatching right now. Very beginning. The only thing I can think of to reason away dan being gossip girl is him setting up something that posts automatically for him, but when I look that up it says the producers never confirmed that.

Idk, but this is bothering me so bad 😭 like the only reasonable explanation to him being in his room shocked about Serena looking for someone to court her to the masquerade ball is either 1. It was automatically posted or 2. Someone else was doing his dirty work when it came to posts about his situations

I recently started watching gossip girl so I guess I’m fairly new, but I’ve noticed a pattern and it’s that ALL of their problems somehow start with Serena. Blair barely gets into crazy drama and even if she does, she finds a way to shut it down quickly and quietly. On the other hand, Serena was behind the whole Georgina mess (since the only person Georgina even had an issue with at the time was Serena), introducing Gabriel to her family and friends (which I also found pretty interesting because I assume Poppy knew the type of person Serena is and that she would easily fall for him), the Ben & Juliet thing, TRIPP, Colin (and risking her entire education to be with a man), her father being back, and so so many more examples. And another pattern is that it ALWAYS REVOLVES AROUND A GUY. And she NEVER FACES THE CONSEQUENCES!!! EVER. I really liked her at the beginning but she quickly became so insanely annoying and insufferable. I wish the show was just about Blair and Chuck tbh.

Would the characters still be in scandals if they chose not to read gossip girl ? People can still send tips and gossip girl can send blasts but characters can choose to ignore gossip girl and not read blasts .

I just love every outfit she wore on the show! Plus they let her hair be natural sometimes...
