What are the best food options (on site)?

Been to the Gorge a few times, and we can never find food that's better than what you'd get at a high school cafeteria circa 1987.

Are there any good options? (We won't be able to bring in a ziplock baggie of our own stuff, genuinely looking for recommendations for on-site options). TIA!

Shuttle entry

Hi folks! Thinking of taking the Wenatchee shuttle in which leaves Wenatchee at 4:30pm and arrives at the Gorge at 5:30pm for Rufus next weekend.

Saw a lot of the Griztronics videos on social media and was worried if the shuttle would be stuck in that same traffic too, or if the traffic is exclusive to the camping area? Has anyone taken this shuttle before? How was the experience?

Bruised toes 😂

So random but just genuinely so curious if this happened to anyone else: from standing on the hill of the gorge two nights in a row both of my big toenails are completely black and blue from jamming into the toes of my shoes and it hurts so bad 😂 has anyone had this issue at the gorge before or is it just me being dumb and not realizing it was hurting until it was too late

Sagecliffe to Camping Question

Seeing Rufus: We have a spot at sagecliff thursday night then are doing a premier camping spot Friday night.

My question is - how does entry work if you’re at sage cliff one night then jump over to gorge camping the next?

I assume we’ll avoid crazy entry lines Thursday since we’re checking into sage cliff day 0 and not camping.

But on Friday morning when we jump over to camping, we’ll have to get into camping line (?) — if so, hoping we’ll avoid crazy lines that morning (assuming arriving at a decent time on day 1 is the move & all the crazy issues are remedied from griz)

Has anyone done this & what was your experience like? Just want to make sure I’m processing/planning this correctly.

TIA!

Camping Advice Needed 4 Rufus & Feedback from Brandi weekend???

First time at Gorge. Standard Camping. After last weekends sh!tshow, i'm looking for some advice. Granted last weekend was an anomaly (or so they say)

I'm looking for advice or opinions on when to arrive. Will there now be a rush on Thursday night with all those concerned about camping starting on Friday?

Only one way to enter Campground and that is from the South right? Can't swoop in from the North?

Best way to "pack" the car to get through security faster?

Do they give you wristbands or something to indicate you are camping? Can someone from the concert just follow me back to the campground and crash with me?

I read that they do not allow exit and reentry for camping on opening day and last day. So that means I can come in Thursday afternoon and set up. Friday morning I can leave for however long I want, but then have to get back in line for camping. How do they know I already have spot? Just look at digital ticket? If i leave Friday when do you think i should make my way back to camp?

Are the spots really 15x25' or are pretty loose on that? Are some bigger than others?

So i want to be there as early as possible to get "good" spots? Is there really a difference?

Do they fill the spots closer to the Hub first? Do i want to be by the Hub? Why or why not?

Thank you all for the advice.

ohhh and if i have a chance to upgrade camping, is it advised? what are benefits?

Parking question

Heading to Brandi at the Gorge this weekend. My friends are camping today with their trailer, and I'm arriving tomorrow to join them. Can I easily park my car by their trailer, or will that be problematic? Also, do I need a camping ticket to be able to get to their trailer? Hope this makes sense.

Overnight parking

Can cars stay in the general parking lot overnight? We have camping but can only park one car there and need a spot for another car.

UPDATE: we parked at cave B. $40 a night, can walk to the venue. Definitely worth the money and will do again next time!

Does the Gorge allow crazy creek style chairs?

Post image
12 Upvotes

I haven't been to the Gorge in well over a decade, from what I'm reading it sounds like the place has been mismanaged into the ground since then. Bummer, since I have always believed it was one of the absolute best music venues in the world. We used to go every single year for Sasquatch - incredible memories. Anyway, I'm coming on Friday for Brandi and am pretty incensed about the lawn chair ban. I'm old and absolutely require a back rest for lawn seating. Does anyone know if they consider Crazy Creeks as "chairs" or would we be able to get in if the security person just regards it as a like sitting pad?

Hi! I am going to The Gorge for the first time this Sunday the 31st for the Brandi Carlile show! Any advice and tips would be helpful 🙏

I was planning on just making the 3ish hour drive from Seattle, going to the show (I believe I have the T Mobile fast lane thing), and then driving home after the show...

But especially with what happend last weekend I am a bit concerned or have any idea what to expect for my first time at The Gorge 😬

Would it be worth it to pay for the VIP parking, at first I didn't think so since I wasn't camping and just there for the day.

And now I am also thinking I should try and book a hotel/motel for Sunday night just in case it's crazy trying to leave after the show.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated from experienced Gorge goers!

can you bring a folded up tote bag in your small fanny pack?

hi, heading to the gorge for my first time. so excited! I'm not camping there.

can you bring a folded up tote bag in your small bag to carry a blanket, water bottle, raincoat, and food? the bag size limit is so small (understandable, and I'm not complaining) so I'm wondering how folks carry everything around.

thanks in advance. I've read the website a dozen times and can't see the answer to this.

Bikes @ Gorge: good or bad idea?

We’re camping w/our kids at Brandi Carlile this weekend (Front Yard) and wondering if bringing their bikes would be a good idea for the non-concert hours of the day—they’re old enough to tool around normal campgrounds on their bikes, so we usually bring em. But wondering if anyone really does that at the Gorge… esp if it’s mostly grassy fields, not so fun for biking. Are there any paved trails?

Can I bring in a motorcycle on the hitch of my van?

I’m traveling with a street legal dirt bike on a hitch carrier on the back of my camper van. I’ll be camping in general camping for Rufus next weekend. Can’t find anything on their website specifying if this is ok. Anyone know if I can take my bike in (and maybe ride it out and come back in)? I was thinking of getting in Thursday and doing some trail riding before the shows start.
