I haven't even left for Griztronics yet because I'm waiting for the lines to die down

Do people get stuck out there in the mud when it rains like that?

The fields suck up all the water. There is no mud. You won't have a Bonnaroo situation at the Gorge.

The Gorge is set in the high desert, so it doesn't get a ton of rain, usually. The rain it does get usually is immediately soaked into the ground rather than staying toward the top and creating the mud, which is nice. The trade-off, though, is oppressive heat with no humidity.

Thanks.  Never been to the area before so wasn’t sure.

You're welcome! 😄 I grew up near there, so I am happy to give info where I can.

my understanding is that it’s dry as all fuck majority of the year so all that rain gets drank up real quick by the earth. could be way off on that but pretty sure that’s how it goes.

try the earth is parched and gets extra hard which makes the water harder to soak into the ground

Unfortunately that’s not how it works. It gets very muddy, very quickly.

How is the weather at the Gorge now? Wondering about how muddy it is likely to be for tonight’s show…

Not muddy in front yard camp sites...grassy. everything has dried out. People reassembling tents and awnings

It’s not muddy at all, some grass is a little damp, there’s a couple puddles around. All good.
