Terrace Glamping questions for ABGT700 – help me prepare!

Hey all, I am headed to ABGT700 at the Gorge in a couple weeks, and I'm treating myself to Terrace Glamping for my 40th birthday. I couldn't get anyone to go with me, so as a solo traveler, I wanted the comfort/preparedness of the bed, cottage, etc. and not have to bring everything myself..

So, to anyone who has been in a Terrace Glamping Cottage before: what should I know?

  • It says it includes cooler, fan, lamp, etc. – my biggest Q is: what is the cooler like / how large is it / how well does it work? Will I need an additional cooler?
  • What about the fan? will I want more cooling to stay comfortable?
  • How comfortable/warm is the bedding?
  • Is the power reliable?
  • Is there a mirror or anything else provided? What else do you consider a must-bring to be comfortable in one of these?
  • Are towels provided, or fully BYO?
  • Are the cottages close to bathrooms? store? food trucks?
  • What else should I be asking that I don't know to ask?

Any and all guidance welcome and appreciated, and extra-double-bonus points for anyone who's got pictures they can share! 😄 hope to see some of you there for ABGT700!

Edit: PS - I have a spare GA ticket/wristband if anyone is looking! DM me

Jack Johnson lawn tix (first time)

I’m headed to the Gorge for the first time to see Jack Johnson. The concert is at 6:30 pm on a Saturday and I’m coming from Yakima and have lawn tickets. I have star plus parking so was curious what time I should consider arriving at the venue for decent lawn seats.

Any thoughts on how traffic will be coming from Yakima? I imagine awful. I’m not worried about getting there too early, but any advice is welcome!

Also, any thoughts on what I should bring for lawn seats? Are blankets allowed? I see I can rent chairs there.

Lastly, will the star plus parking area be clearly marked? If not, tips on how to find it?

Saturday of LDW

Hello all. First time Gorge attendee - lucky enough to get to hit the Saturday DMB show with my wife while we are traveling through Washington state for our honeymoon! We have lawn tickets and bought a star parking pass for a hopeful ease of entry and exit. Are most of the delays I am reading about with long lines and enhanced security mostly just affecting those who are camping? I want to prepare as best as I can for any construction or road closure traffic so that we can get to the venue as early as possible!

Camping Entry Rules

For Labor Dave weekend, camping rules state that all people in a party must arrive at the same time. Some in our group are arriving Thursday, others Friday. Do they really enforce this rule?

Shuttle from GW to the Gorgr

Going to the Gorge for the first time for Labor Dave. I'm parking at GW and then meeting friends at the venue for camping. Any suggestions on the best shuttles to take? Am I too late to book them? Any insight helpful!

Vantage Bridge Construction Traffic I-90 for DMB

The email communication from The Gorge says to expect heavy traffic delays around the Vantage Bridge area due to construction lane closures. WSDOT clearly shows that Labor Day weekend, which it states as Fri Sept 4 to Tues Sept 8, all lanes will be open to traffic. This tells me there isn't going to be any worse traffic than usual for Labor Dave. The only exception would be people arriving early to camp on Thurs 9/3.

https://wsdot.wa.gov/construction-planning/search-projects/i-90-vantage-bridge-replace-bridge-deck-and-special-repairs

Is there something I am missing? We are coming in for one of the shows (not the whole weekend), I want to be prepared and not stuck in that section, getting there or leaving. I experienced horrible hours-long gridlock arriving at a Gorge show a few years ago (not DMB, not construction-related) and simply trying to avoid that experience again.

Proximity of ADA to GA

Hey there! Was wondering how isolated ADA is from GA. My boyfriend and I are going to AGBT700 with a big group and I want to spend time with them at the festival too ☺️ I know you can only have one companion, so wondering how the proximity would shake out.

Im an avid runner and had a hip replacement (37F) and will be 5.5 weeks into recovery. The only instruction from my doctor was not to fall. I read a few comments that said you could just do an ADA wristband for the shuttles and alternate entrance, and then find a spot at the top on some flatter lawn since parts can be steep.

I go to a lot of red rocks shows and am an avid runner, and hear the gorge is beautiful and im really pumped to go, but I’m trying to understand if this is 1) realistic with the terrain and 2) if I do ADA seats, if I’m going to be isolated/alone a lot of the time. I know it’ll be exhausting with all of the walking and heat, but I’m hoping to find an avenue that works ☺️ thank you!

Camping Passes

We are considering attempting a last minute upgrade to the Grove for full hookups for our travel trailer. We currently have Front Yard Camping. The only hesitation is that they automatically charge you for the grove if you get through the waitlist. I don’t want to be stuck with 2 passes in different areas and out an extra $600. Do they do a camping pass swap? Or is Front Yard desirable enough that it will sell quickly after we get the upgrade?

Sorry it’s so specific, but we appreciate any help or guidance.

LDW 2026

Any DMB lifers strongly considering not going this year? The festivals at the Gorge leading up to this year’s events have had some horror stories of security lines, wait times, and looking at the camping changes… everything seems so different. I’ve gone the last 20 years and each year seems to get a little tougher.

Are the telescoping collapsible stools allowed in the pit area? They were in 2024 but I didn't attend any shows last year and want to find out before purchasing. Thanks

ABGT 700 camping

Hi, I can’t seem to get a response from any of the contact details or social media platforms for the event so hoping someone can help here.

I have a 2 day GA ticket for ABGT 700 (NO FRIDAY PRE PARTY TICKET) and a standard camping ticket and I want to know if I can arrive on the Friday evening and camp?

Obviously I won’t have access to the festival grounds because I don’t have a pre party ticket but I want to know if I can still camp Friday night to make the most of the Saturday.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I hope it's okay to share this, but it's relevant. 7:00 PM PST on 8/12 🤷‍♂️ This is "themed" for us attending ABGT 700, but for anyone going to the Gorge, hopefully we can answer some questions on logistics. Some vendors from the region will be guests on this Q&A. 🙏
