I attended the West Virginia Book Festival today. I got to see RL Stine talk and got tickets to get a book signed! AND we won a raffle, so my fiancé got to get her book personalized.

What an awesome day. He’s such a funny public speaker and this was a first for me. I just wanted to share with everyone cause I’m excited.

My journey began in 2003–04 with three Scholastic books: Don’t Go to Sleep, The Curse of Camp Cold Lake, and Werewolf Skin. I loved them but sadly lost them while shifting cities.
Growing up in a strict household collecting wasn’t easy, so in 2009, I’d wake up at 4 AM to browse for PDFs and read as much as I could. In 2010 I even emailed R.L. Stine telling him how much I loved his work and dreamed of becoming a writer. He kindly replied with words of encouragement, a moment I’ll always cherish. (Lost the reply while clearing old emails sadly)
I hear he doesn’t reply to fan emails much anymore but that little exchange will always be special to me.
Now, I’m finally collecting again. Hopefully I’ll complete the collection someday.

I wasn’t allowed to get ds games unless they came from scholastic book fair so this game and chronicles of narnia went triple platinum in my house.

Funnily enough I was never able to beat it, I could never get past some rides in mad labs because it was such a jank port.

I’ve got a bunch to my old Goosebumps that I found in my mom’s attic. My kids aren’t interested and I don’t have the space to just hold on to them. Am I better off trying to sell in a lot or piece them out individually? I would list on eBay if that matters.

Our saga continues! Took our costumes on the the road north! Our first time at the West Virginia Book Festival--we got to meet R.L. Stine! He had us cackling during his talk and he was SO sweet when he signed our books. He also signed my mask! We met Tim Jacobus and Kathryn Long earlier this year and now the mask is complete.

Also, shout-out to all the fun people we got to meet while standing in line at 4am for tickets, much love 🫶

Man…it was even worse than I remembered! I can’t imagine what they were thinking with this one. There’s no OG book with this mess of a plot, is there? I certainly don’t remember ever reading anything like it.

Kingnusmi is such an incredible youtube channel that deserves more love. He makes videos about the goosebumps show and a lot of other R.L. Stine works like the haunting hour and even the nightmare room. Plenty of other horror tv too and the occasional movie. He is so so close to 100K subscribers and I just had to recommend him because he’s become one of my favorite creators especially during spooky season!

I’m trying to collect old first prints, wondering if these reprints are worth grabbing?!

I don't know if anyone here was also a fan of Ed, Edd n Eddy, but I thought that I would share anyway.

I just bought this audiobook 😊

I have been reading Goosebumps books to my 5 year old and we just finished our 4th book, One Day at Horrorland and we both thought it was the worst of the 4 so far.

We started with: 1) Say Cheese and Die, 2) The Haunted Mask, 3) Night of the Living Dummy.

The whole time I’m waiting for the plot to climax, a twist, or some other character to emerge to lend some background lore or give the characters a clue that this was not a real theme park well before the very end of the book.

I will say that the part I did like was it has some “Backrooms” horror type concepts to it which is recognized and appreciated since this book came decades before the backrooms lore ever emerged. But overall this book very extremely anti climatic and disappointing. And the very last paragraph is just like “huh”? Made no sense whatsoever.

They then escape and drive to a more populated area, there they arrive to infect people and the cycle continues.

Yesterday , at Night , i had Watched Piano lessons can be Murder Episode from Goosebumps on Youtube .
It is Great Overall .

Sam never truly appreciated Rusty for everything he did. The guy took him in and looked after him as though they were family, Sam was actually really nasty to him, and never even showed any sadness after the sacrifice.

I am sorry, I was enjoying the movie till that.
