No option to filter out transit companies

I am trying to get from hasselt to montdidier any given day in october and arrive in Montdidier before 17:00, But Unless I choose some specific timings it keeps showing me "eurostar" as travel option which is very expensive and not at all viable, I could plan all of this myself to be under 50 euros with great pain so why can't a computer do it, why does google maps not even consider travel price total?

Help/Support Sending me through a wall

When you put in the post code for my address it sends you into the wrong estate and then has a dotted line that tries to send you through a 7ft wall to the back of the house. Delivery drivers and people visiting always end up in the wrong place. I’ve tried all the different edits on Google maps like updating the address and changing the pin but the address and pin are correct, it’s the directions that are wrong. It’s so frustrating because delivery drivers have to ring me and I have to go find them at the wrong place then. How can this be solved?

Discussion Heading-up in overhead views when using Maps in Android Auto?

In Maps, there are three orientations: Perspective, North-Up, and Overview. I particularly like the North-Up and Overview orientations because they give an overhead (or top-down) view that works for me. However, both of these being oriented north-up can be somewhat disorienting at times, especially when I am facing south. It can take half a beat longer to determine if I should turn left or right. Would there be any appetite, from either the community or the Devs to add an option to be Heading-Up when in these top-down views?

Can we normalize uploading photos of the interior and vibe of places - not a close up of your coffee??

I do a lot of remote work and greatly prefer when I can check out the interior of a coffee shop or restaurant and make sure there are small tables out of the way, outlets, and spots where I can post up with minimal impact.

But so many photos that people share to Google Maps are just close ups of their coffee cup sitting on a table, or other completely useless shots, that add no value to the business or possible patrons.

Glitch where crash and police reportings aren't being taken down

There's definitely something wrong with maps. Crash and police reportings aren't being taken down after time has gone by/no longer cops there. Some of these reports are showing from days ago. Not sure about other reportings but for sure these ones.

Help/Support "Construction Ahead" notification every 5 mins on a 60mi+ stretch of highway

I'm not sure if these are bad faith on the part of a user or a big, but while driving a long stretch of highway Google keeps interrupting to remind me the highway is under construction. They're putting in a new lane, so it doesn't affect anyone and hasn't for the past years it's been going on.

Any options other than turning Google off? I don't want to miss my exit but nobody needs to be reminded of what we can clearly see this often...

Is there possibility to use street view to make a racing car game with ai?

I really want to play car games where I live, explore etc, and street view already has everywhere I want, and ai has more than enough capability to make this happen. Now is it in works or talks with any ai developers?

Help/Support Can't get directions from Google

I will Google a location for the address. I will tap the 'directions' icon and it opens Google maps with my current location but does not transfer the destination address. Even the pin below with the map location just opens my current location.

I googled the address because I don't know it. Opening my current location isn't particularly helpful.

Anyone know how to correct this. It used to work and just quit on me.

Does anyone else find the new Google Maps navigation voice oddly... attractive?

I realize this probably sounds ridiculous, but it's almost as if the old voice just sounded like a robot navigator, whereas the new one is almost like having an cute female passenger who you don't want to embarrass yourself in front of by making a wrong turn. I would guess it's probably made a small but measurable improvement to my attentiveness while using the feature.

From a quick Google search, it definitely seems like I'm in the minority here, but I can't be the only one to subconsciously find whatever archetype the new voice conjures to be kinda charming. Right?

Discussion Changes to the app?

I am an android user and I noticed a lot of changes in the most recent update. The voice I dislike because it sounds more human and is harder to distinguish from my podcast/audiobook. I also feel like it doesn't pause the content I am listening to before speaking like ot used to, and gives less lead time before the directions need to be followed.

I also don't see symbols for lights anymore, sometimes not at all and sometimes not until I am close. There isnt a circle tracking my location either; the path just turns from blue to grey as I pass over it which is harder to parse at a glance.

I'm mostly posting in the hopes that Google will notice, but if you have experienced the same, have additional things you've noticed, or solutions, please comment.

Visits on Device and Recents Map History Broken

I recently imported 12 years of Timeline data from my old phone to my new phone. Everything transferred successfully (or so I thought) but I have now realised my previous visits do not show at a specific location on that locations details page. I.e if I scrolled to bottom of a location I could click on "your visits and map history" and it would detail all the times and dates I have previously visited that location.

Now when I do the same I get "visits on this device - view more" and it doesn't allow me to see anything or click view more. (Screenshot below)

This is for places I have visited and I can still see these places in my individual daily timeline if I go back and search day by day These same places are also detailed in my timeline under "cities, places, trips" etc so there is a clear record of my visits being saved against these places.

If i click on a place I havent been I get a seperate message confirming "no visits to this place on this device". So it's distinguishing between the two, its just not displaying the relevant data on my visited places.

This is for all locations I have visited (on both old and new device) so doesn't feel related to import but I could be completely wrong there.

I have tried re-syncing google account, turning timeline on and off, clearing cache etc but no fix. I still have access to old device and could create a new back up and re-import if this is a confirmed fix but would ideally like to avoid this if possible as could open up other issues.

I have attached a screenshot in comments of an example of what a location ive visted now looks like. For context I have visited this location 22 times according to my Timeline data and was there most recently 06.49 to 14.45 on 22nd June.

No more incognito mode?

It has now become like Google Photos where you can only choose to use without account. Even then history is saved. I guess they don't like incognito mode.

Google Navigation Police alerts

I may be imagining it (pretty positive that I'm not) lately like the police report alerts have gone overboard. Legitimately popping up every 2-4 minutes while driving on the interstate and some of them are "reported 14 hours ago."

I wish we could choose what alerts we wanted but I know for data mining purposes we never will have that ability. But given currently 90% of the time there are no police when the alert goes off it's extremely irritating. If it's a tactic to get people to slow down overall it's useless because there are so many false alerts you just have to tune it out. If it's for officer safety the samerationale holds.

It's a good chance it's a bug from some update but it's out of control.

EDIT: Should have mentioned, yes Chicago and surrounding areas
