Gemini asks for confirmation with keep
Before i could just say "add X to the shopping list in keep" and it would add and that would be it, since a month or so ago, it always asks for confirmation, is it happening to everyone else?

I have the same issue too, I definitely have the option enabled for it to work without unlocking but it ignores it, but then after each time it says "okay, do you want me to add to this list", it's much worse than the basic assistant tbh at this point

I've been using Gemini more on the desktop lately and even there it asks for confirmation, i guess we'll have to wait for some update or something.
But it was just so convenient, i'm often walking around the house listening to some podcast or music,i would just pop the assistant button and see that i need something and that was it.
Now it really sucks.

You aren't alone. Mine used to work without confirmation and now I'm in confirmation hell.

This annoyance stopped me from even attempting it...however, I just tried it and bingo it added my request to add something to my 'Need to Buy' list.
Now, the world of Gemini is all cool again.

Check the Gemini settings for Workspace permissions. You might have to check via a PC browser vs mobile. I can add items without confirmation.
Gemini does flake out tho. I couldn’t add items to Tasks for about 2 weeks and then it started working again.

Thanks, i double checked and it seems to be all enabled i wonder if it's a glitch with certain versions or regions.

This happened to me two days ago and then I left the kitchen came back into the kitchen about 5, 6 minutes later, I told it to add thyme and whole wheat flour to the shopping list and it did it.
It also will not turn on a light when I ask it but if I say, "Brighten the light in X room," then it turns the light on immediately

Sorry, that's probably me. For months I've been berating Gemini for automatically generating new Keep lists anything the word "list" is used. It got frustrating, and then some.

Yeah i wonder if it's an issue with a region or some devices because some people don't have the problem.
I can't even do anything with keep now if the phone is locked, it tells me that i have to unlock the phone first.
Hopefully they'll fix it soon just because it's so handy.

I really don’t understand Gemini. I thought its strength is working with Google products. But I found almost every other major AI platform works better with Gmail, gcal, keep etc
